Summary: Superb Player
Review: I bought this MP3 player last week. So far after about one week of usage, I am in love with it. I used have a the Nomad hard disk player, but compared with the NEX player, the Nomad is no where near as good. The NEX is small, it uses compact flash and the sound is great. I mainly use the player for exercise, unlike the bulkiness of the nomad, carrying the nex feels like you are carrying nothing.

All in all, I rate this an excellent buy.

Summary: Great value for mony
Review: I bought this NEX IA over other MP3 players because it uses Compact Flash memory cards which I have plenty of. At first I was a little hesitant, but after I got it, I did not regret. The sound just blew me away. It was loud and the sound is crisp and clear. I listen to a lot of jazz and its important that the higher and lower end of the sound spectrum is clear and loud. This the NEX IA delivers convincingly. Its little larger than I wanted but its really no big deal as I can leave it in my pocket. The jog dial is easy to use and with the remote I never really need to take it out of my pocket. Overall, I highly recommend this player. Easy to use, inexpensive and great sound.

Review: I can't quite agree with the other reviews of NEXIA. Mine player functions as I had expected. It plays MP3, great sound, FM works ok, Recording is clear, LCD is large and informative. The battery life is adequate, about 10 hours. For less than $100, I think its great value for money.

Summary: Cool Price, Great Player
Review: I had to buy this as it was the best price I've seen for a 256mb MP3 player. I was not disappointed with the sound it is awesome and it looks like the iPod without the price. My friends all like it too.

Summary: Frontier Labs Nex Ia+ 512MB
Review: I have been looking around for a MP3 player with a radio and a decent amount of memory for around [£]; so when I saw this I was naturally happy that I could have an infinate amount of cards with different groups of songs etc on them.
When I bought my player towards the end of January 2004 Frontier labs had brought out a new version of the Nex Ia the Nex Ia+. Before I had bought my player I had read some of the reviews and had heard about the minoour flaws of this player; however on revieving my Nex Ia+ none of the flaws which Ihad read about seemed to be in evidence. Infact Ifound the flash/microdrive door hard to open, I don't know if these are improvement made apon the Ia+ but I would certainly recomend splashing out the extra [£] for it. I bought my player off ... living in the UK I couldnt order off here ;-(
I decided to buy the player with no memory and have a shop around for memory to see if it would be cheaper buying it speratly, which it was by a full [£]. I ordered mine off ...
I was very pleased with the two above sites both delivering my order within 24 hours!!
Just a quick note on connecting this player to your P.C. : For the removable drive to be found I have to be in the actual player mode. You must also plug in the USB cable after the layer mode is innialated (sorry if i spelt it wrong). (I have win XP Prof so it may be different on your systems)
Summary
A very good player to go for with excerlent sound quality. Try shopping around for the memory as you can save yourself some of your preasous money. Also you may want to get some new headphones as the ones suppilied I did not like (well they cant please everyone).

Summary: Best CF based MP3 player
Review: I have many CF memory cards around and the NEX is the only player that uses this cheap and expandable medium. The sound is also rich and deep. The FM however does not have very good reception. Overall, I think this player is great.

Summary: Great player for the money...
Review: I have tons of compact flash for my digital camera and with this device now I can use the cards for MP3 too. I had alot of freinds tell me the MP3 was too technical but this player is very easy. It shows as an external drive and I can simply drag and drop my MP3 files to it. Excellent sound !

Summary: A very good mp3 player
Review: I love this mp3 player. It is the only one I can find that uses the compact flash memory card, which I have tonnes lying around. Unlike most other flash players in the market, the NEX IA is not too small where the buttons become impossible to press and control. It is also very simple to set up. All I had to do was plug it into my PC and voila it shows up as a drive, where I can just drag and drop mp3 files to it. No special software was needed.

Most importantly it sounds great. It is very loud and with very deep bass which is perfect with heavy rock music that I like listening to. All in all, a very good player. Just one downside, the FM does not work that well.

Summary: Crashed after a couple times.
Review: I never really wrote reviews before, but I should start writing more and warning people about bad products. I was looking for a cheap alternative to those Ipods, and I thought this would be it. I was unimpressed with the casing and the buttons, but I was ok with it because it was so inexpensive. But I found out the MP3s wouldn't play back correctly, then occasionally I see an hourglass on the screen which meant that it crashed. I had to remove the batteries to clear it up. A couple reviews mentioned the exact same problem. Don't be misled by the 5 stars one that say it's excellent and perfect. Please read ALL the reviews and then judge. I'm just being honest and want to save people the hassle. I returned it and got my money back.
