Rating: Summary: Solid MP3 Player Review: I bought the DFP-200 last wednesday and it is great! Many LCD screen colors gives it a nice groove. The sound is the best. There are a lot of menu options like playlist, backlight, and voice recording. There is a small problem... If the song title is too long, it shortens it and it looks weird. Overall, this is a great product.

Rating: Summary: Look somewhere else! Review: I can't say this player has been ALL bad, so I will list the pro's and con's for you to let you make your own decision:
GOOD
1) Memory -- If you're using this to exercize or take a few songs on the road, this tiny device is very handy. The 256MB memory holds about 8 hours of music, which I found was more than enough for my uses.
2) Shape -- compared to the RCA Lyra I first bought, this player proved to be more innovative in its shape. I found it easy to carry on runs, and the joystick made it easy to switch songs and volume without interrupting my workouts to figure out what button did what. The unit comes with an arm-strap, but I found it harder to change songs on my arm than with the unit in my hand. It's light and small -- didn't bother me to carry it.
BAD
1) Battery life -- I found I didn't get more than 8-10 hours battery life on this player. This was especially annoying when the battery died on a long run and I had to carry the thing dead all the way back (it gets a lot heavier when you're not getting anything out of it).
2) Compatability -- If you have a Macintosh, BEWARE! Since buying this unit I have gotten a new computer and switched from PC to MAC; I have to use a friend's computer to do anything to it now.
3) Radio Recording -- This feature is USELESS. Even on the highest level , the sound quality is so terrible I can't imagine how anyone would get anything useful out of it. My player has also been unable to DELETE these bad sound files, so I have to run through them every time I go through my playlist.
4) Changing Music -- Recently (I have had this player for about 7 months now) there has been a "LOCK" on certain songs on my player, and I am unable to delete the music on there. Thankfully this only includes about half of the memory, but I'm sure Black Eyed Peas "Hey Mama" is going to get old pretty soon.
If you're going to buy this player I HIGHLY recommend getting an extended warrenty from Best Buy or Circuit City. As for myself, I've heard better things from iRiver and am switching brands ASAP!
Rating: Summary: Honestly a great player Review: I have to address several issues raised by other reviews of this device:
the problem with the format of songs is addressed in the manual, it only plays, WMA, MP3 and only one other format.
The radio is useful if it is set correctly and it doesnt take a genious to figure that out
and the recorder is useful for students to record lessons
In conclusion Very useful and a worthwhile buy
Rating: Summary: Solid MP3 Player Review: I take this MP3 player to the gym each day and I've been very happy with it. It's got great sound (with different sound settings to choose from), as well as quality earphones. It's also easy to change songs and volume level while running. I don't like how the artists and song titles don't fit onto the display, which makes it hard to distinguish between different songs. But overall, it's a great MP3 player that I would recommend.
Rating: Summary: pretty good! Review: I was looking for an mp3 player that would hold other data types for transferring between school and home, and this is working really well. lots of play modes, you can create playlists within the player, and the backlight choices are kinda cool. it's holding a lot of music in addition to files so it's working great.
Rating: Summary: Verge is a cheap and bad substitute to the iRiver mp3 player Review: The most compelling thing about Verge is that it's made by the same company that makes iRiver and is sold a lot cheaper. After buying the product though, you realize that the discount definitely isnt worth it. Here's the highlights: Battery time: `5-7 hours Size: says 256mb, but mine wouldnt fill more than 160 because "memory is full" Interface: Horrible Button Layout: you can press all buttons by accident just replacing the battery. I had to put it on hold for every second I didnt touch the buttons. Bugs: several. Battery indicator doesnt work well, it takes a lot of manipulation to start the player while it's connected to the computer, shutas off at random moments, has a lot of screen residue (it has lot of random dots/marks that shouldnt be there). Also, when I press forward, it just skips to any song instead of going to the next one. There is no "mode" setting to correct this. And of course it uses an AAA battery. It's not worth the lower price, you're better off sticking with iRiver, one of the best Mp3 players in the market.
Rating: Summary: Solid Mp3 Player Review: This device is just OK...like others who have it, it does prove to be easy to use when working out/running. Unfortunately, it will download songs onto the device that then do not play...you never know what format/song it will decide to play until you finish with all your downloading and turn it on...only to find that alas, half of the songs are listed but will not play. GRRR! Also, the FM radio is useless...sounds like crap and difficult to navigate (slow). I already bought another MP3 player to replace this although, the sound quality IS good on the Verge...what to do!
Rating: Summary: Good Bang 4 your buck Review: This mp3 player has all the functions i need. Sometimes, a song won't play but then i re formatted the player and it worked fine. Sound quality is ok, it is only 85dB.I wouldn't get this one if the price is over $130. You'd be much better going with an iRiver.
