Rating: Summary: Versatile, easy to use Review: I use this not only as an MP3 player, but to back up and move files between computers, and also as an extra drive for my old laptop. It's heavy, but compact, and it has survived a couple of drops so far. Menus are not the easiest, the only reason I knocked off a star.

I got mine for christmas and i have not used my cd player since. lets put it this way... This is the best thing ever!!!
Rating: Summary: not a bad little contraption Review: I've had mine over a year and half now. The first two months I had it, I returned it to archos because it would not boot up. They sent me another one and that worked very well for about a year of everyday use. Then sadly (after the waranty expired) the internal harddrive locked up... What to do, what to do?? Ripped it apart and swapped the microdrive with a Fujistu microdrive I bought at a local computer store. A bit tricky to pull out the drive, but a fun experience, especially since I went from 6GB to 15GB... also the new drive is rated to use less power so batteries last longer... A bit fragile not to be thrown around but if you treat it like a laptop its completely GREAT!!!
Rating: Summary: SUPERIOR TO ALL Review: Hello everyone, I received this player for christmas and in the beginning, yes it had trials. The manual was difficult to use and it didn't have all of the normal buttons such as a standard player. For example, there is no volume buttons or dials. Instead, it is done digitally withing the player after using hotkeys/ menues. However, it is quite easy to use. Just drag and drop your files directly to the removable hard drive. I am using windows 98 which requires me to preload the USB drivers so i cannot just plug in and go. With a friend on a windows 2000 computer, the drivers were already there so I didn't have to mess with that. THINGS I WOULD HAVE DONE DIFFERENT: 1. GET THE RECORDER: It has smaller text which is nice because you can see where you are better in a playlist. 2. Found out about rockbox.haxx.se first. This site was very helpful. For example, they have free games for your jukebox RECORDER. Simple but adds features. DO NOT DEPEND ON THE ARCHOS'S FIRMWARE UPDATES-USE rockbox.haxx.se, it is the BEST. Otherwise, enjoy this great product's sound quality.
Rating: Summary: Quite possibly the best gadget available for under £200 Review: After purchasing this item i was thouroughly impressed with all of it. its a lot smaller than i expected and weighs a bit but who really cares whn uve got the ability to hold around 2500 songs in the palm of ure hand. i have 160 cd's and now all of them are on my player. And whats really good is i have loadsa space still left! The sound quality is amazing . But the headphines you get with are crap, i recommend geting some sony mdr-g56's (neckband) or better. great gadget with easy to read display. a fine example of Simpology
Rating: Summary: MrSmart Review: Bought this as a cheap alternitive to the more expensive hard drive mp3 players. Sound is outstanding, easy to use and the like, no issues getting it working, at all.. One issue, is, however, that I have 1923 mp3s to transfer over to this thing, over USB 1.0, painfully slow.. been going 80min now, and still another 80min left. Other than that, good quality, works well.
Rating: Summary: A Music Lover's Dream Review: The Archos Jukebox Studio 10 is a great Mp3 player. The sound quality is astounding. The amount of room on its hard drive is amazing. You get everything. You can record music and you can put practicly your whole cd collection on it. The transfer speed while downloading music onto the jukebox is very quick. Musicmatch JUKEBOX, the program that comes with the Archos is very easy to use and is very organized making it simple to transfer music. The manual unlike many is very easy to read and understand. The Archos Jukebox Studio 10 is a must have for music lovers!
Rating: Summary: Gr8 MP3 Player and HD Review: I just bought this at CompUSA for $... after rebate and its been Gr8. I have 1 Gig of music on it as of NOW (Day 1) and I need to download more with my Cable Connection :) And to the people that run with it and give it thumbs down...what a stupid idea, why are you gonna run with a 12 oz Hard Drive in your pocket? Thats not a good idea AT ALL! Some pointers, Hold the ON button when you connect it to your PC untill it starts up and says "USB ACTIVE". Also download the new firmware off Archos website. Includes a patch to turn off the screen when the carging is complete and faster rewind. Over all its a GR8 MP3 player and HD. Did you know you can store ANYTHING thats on your computer with these Hard Drive Players?
Rating: Summary: A very decent music device Review: I received the Archos Jukebox for a gift this christmas and for the most part, I'm very happy with it. Siting some of the previous complaints and prase like others: The headphones were not the best quality. I believe the right ear piece has decided to stop working. The transfer rate is a bit slow, but overall the seemless intergration with the Operating System (compared to other devices) more than makes up with it. Being able to carry other file types has saved me the hassle of carrying a harddrive to my friends house. One thing that I would like to add, is that if you want to get a car adapter for it, as I chose to. Purchase a 9 Volt (pretty easy to tell by looking at the device) adapter. If you purchase the adapter at Radio Shack most of them have selectable connector heads. Purchase the "H" connector. Also, a small note, it sorts albums and and data for play by ASCII sorting. Meaning that Captial Letters are first and then Lower Case letters. So "ZZZ-SLEEP MUSIC" will sort before "abba greatist hits"
