Summary: Love Music? Can't Do Without iPod.
Review: I received the 10gb iPod from my pops for a graduation present and I have to say it's MORE then worth the price. The iPod is simply amazing. Just opening the box to retrieve the 'Pod' is a treat. Apple designed some sort of iPod-origami to create a square-looking box that is truly artistic and practical. Once I got to the machine inside, my life was complete. The iPod is so smooth and the features so extensive, it looked as though it should be in a James Bond film. The backlight illuminates the 'Pod' so beautifully, giving the buttons a red glow while turning the viewing-screen a sharp, white color. I never wanted to turn it off. It's as though I should've placed the instrument on a mantel when through listening just to gawk at its beauty.

Furthermore, I could actually hear the iPod spin its compact hard drive. Upon taking it out of the box, it turned on to reveille language options and instantly hooked me into configuring the entire thing.

Overall the iPod is the most beautiful machine I've ever laid eyes upon. The long battery life is simply icing on the cake and the number of songs it holds is astonishing. If Apple makes computers as well as they constructed this music piece, it's no wonder people obsess over Macs.

Summary: Great Product! Worth Every Penny!
Review: Alright, I am in high school and work a minimum wage job, so this product is a huge chunk of my paycheck. I was very leery at first because I did not want to waste the money on something that I will not use very much. I have to say though; this mp3 player has changed my life! I never go anywhere without it. It has replaced all of my CDs to the extent that I have sold most of them. This player out performs any other on the market and always performs flawlessly. I am also very surprised at how often apple releases new updates on the player. I am a windows user and I use win 98se with absolutely no problems at all. Please do not hesitate to buy this because it is worth it.

Summary: iPod rocks on!
Review: I was initially skeptical when I was given an iPod as a Christmas gift. I didn't have a vast collection of MP3s, and was not sure that I would use it all that much.

Well, now that I have had it for almost six months, I must say, WOW! I take it to work with me everyday (in fact, I am typing this review whilst listening to some classic Beatles on my iPod). It has become an essential part of my life, and I cannot imagine life without it.

Combined with iTunes as a way of organising my music, and adding in the power of AAC encoded audio, it kicks butt. Buy one, or better still, buy one of its bigger brethren. The convenience, power and ease of use make it one of the coolest consumer electronic gadgets I have gotten in years.

Summary: A Perfect Creation for Music Lovers
Review: I first saw I-POD at the MAC display in King of Prussia and I was just bowled over by its sleek design. But it was much more then the Design when I received my i-POD from Amazon.
The functionality, the ease to use, the sound quality everything is perfect about this little gadget. Its Got Games, its got address book, you can use it as external hard disk.. and what not. Overall a must buy for anyone who loves all his music to be with him/her.
Although there are a few points which you should think about,
1. if you are ordering a 10 GB ipod...and for Windows, it doesnt come with USB, so you will have to install a firewire port like I did (if you dont have already). Firewire port externally installed doesnt give the speed claimed.
2. Do buy a carrying case, the lil ipod is so sleek that it can slip out of your grip anytime.

so Go ahead and beleive me you will love this ...

Summary: Love this thing!
Review: This iPod is a thing of beauty! Even the packaging was a work of art. Works very well on my 12" PowerBook, no problems connecting or transferring music and misc. information via a program called Pod2Go.
Thinking about having it replace my PocketPC, synced iCal and Address Book flawlessly, 10 gb was plenty big enough for 1200+ songs and 100+ contacts with a full year's worth of appts.
Highly recommend this product, goes way beyond that of the 'average' MP3 player.......IT ROCKS!!!!

Summary: A semi-lacking revolution
Review: The new 10 gigabyte ipod tries to be many things...and suceeds for the most part. I own both a mac and a PC, but find that the PC interface is extreemely confusing. I have basically given up with trying to use the PC interface, but will probably try again at some point; and this says a lot as i am considered an official nerd :) . When i first took my iPod out of its beautifully constructed box I turned it on...and the directions said to hold the menu button to use the backlight. This didnt work. I also tried the backlight button, didnt work. I looked to check if there was a lot of battery and there was 3/4 of the battery life left. But it was late, so i plugged it in, and went to bed. I woke up in the morning and to my delight, the backlight worked! I can not explain this mericle but i just wont mess with success. The iPod interface is awesome. If you buy this product you will know the interrface like the back of your hand in 5 minutes. Amazing...I just have to mention that if i plug my ipod into my PC, it shows up as a drive and i can drag anything into it. Then i can take it to my mac, and use the file...nice...

Summary: Looks Great, Less Filling
Review: I really, really wanted to love this product and I still do but more like you love your cat instead of your dog. 10 gig of space for music is fantastic and I have yet to fill it without going into my B and C list of songs. I encountered problems right away with the battery and after 2 returns, I figured out it was the AC adapter that was frying the battery. Every time I used the firewire, all was well but as soon as I used the AC to charge, it no longer communicated with my PC. So I can't use my AC anymore to charge. The battery is very temperamental so beware. Also, it's a fragile item. I defy anyone to try and keep it scratch free without putting it behind glass. I tried running with it but the jarring was just too much and would freeze up on me. It also would be nice to be able to delete songs on the fly. I work within its limitations and still enjoy it.

Summary: Best portable music player...ever!
Review: I received one of these as a graduation gift...I was a little leery at first, as I was never a Mac person. But after an hour, I was hooked on my iPod. The interface is incredibly intuitive, setting it up was incredibly simple (mine came with a Belkin PCI firewire card which I needed to install...piece of cake!), and the sound quality is fantastic. It's even small enough that it fits into the tiny pockets that seem to be gracing women's pants recently.

If you're in the market for an MP3 player and have the [$$] to spend, I can't recommend this more highly. Apple definitely got this one right.

Summary: One of the best inventions since the CD
Review: I bought the new 10gig ipod and am really in love with it. The prices of it dropped to $ which seems expensive at first but after relizing that it is holding 2660 of my favorite songs, it truly is an entertainment peice. The sound quality is absolutely fabulous. Apple products seem to be made with pride, unlike many other electronic devices. The product was "designed" in California according to the box it came in but manufactured in Taiwan which is written on the back of the product. Why can't they make them here in the states? That is my only beef with this product but 99% of our products are made elsewhere. I hope that person in Taiwan is getting paid decently for this expensive beauty!

Summary: None other comes close
Review: Overall, in terms of quality, Apple has done it again with their new iPods. When you even begin to undo the packaging, you KNOW that you're getting what you've paid for. Even the box is amazing... it's a perfect cube that opens clamshell-style around the center.

The iPod itself is absolutely stunning. I would say, after looking at many other players, that none other comes close in terms of weight and looks. I've looked at the Phillips player and tried a Neuros player, but both of them are not nearly as elegant and easy to use. Frankly, I like the mechanical buttons of the older iPods better, becuase it's impossible to operate the touch buttons while inside a pocket or container. As for features, I would say that it's lacking two that I would like to see - recording from FM, and transmission to FM, however, they can be added on with third party hardware.

I primarily use Linux as my OS, but I also have a Windows computer as well. I haven't tried MusicMatch, but I like ephpod (free at ephpod.com), and it works great with the new docking iPods. I think it works well with Windows, though I'm still not sure about Musicmatch and the like.
