Summary: AWESOME MP3 player - great for gym
Review: I did I did allot of research and read allot of reviews before I bought the mpio and couldn't be happier. Five minutes out of the box I had it loaded from my work computer (win2000) and the software installed just as easily from my laptop (winxp-pro). The transfer software is very easy to use.

The sound is great. It played MP3, WMF and MPG audio. The sound quality was far better than I expected. The ear buds are very nice and work well at the gym. The radio tuner really surprised me too. It picks more stations than my car or desktop radio with amazing clarity. Perfect for the gyms TV stations. It gets all the volume and more than I need. I couldn't imagine listening at it's highest level. The equalizer seems to do a decent job too for such compact device.

It comes with a clip carrying case that hooked tightly to my shorts and I had no problems with it at the gym during either cardio or weight training. Aside from being great looking the design is extremely functional. I could adjust volume and switch titles without looking the controls. The volume has different contours for up and down. The problem others reported with the pouch hitting the volume button has been addressed. It fits perfectly in the case with no adjustments.

I went for the 128 because I felt I could invest in expansion if I needed it. As it is this holds more than enough room for trips to the gym or walks with my dog. I store my music on my computer, personally I would rather have a compact device than some bulky thing.

For the price the quality is overwhelming. I have shown it to people at work and friends. 2 are ordering 1 for themselves.

Summary: This works Great (Dont Listen to the bad Reveiws)
Review: This is the best mp3 player on the the market. The sound is wonderful, its small and compact. it has a nice metal frame giving it a sturdy feel.A wonderful lcd. But again if people said the sound is bad they most be deaf because its perfect for me. Not to mention its a voice recorder too. its really a 4 in one deal. Voice and radio recorder, mp3 player, and a big floppy disk. the only problem might be is that there is no problems. i have had mine for 5 months and the quality hasnt faded a bit. Its a beautiful working gadget with great software to boot. If your looking for a powerful mp3 player that can be upgrade with sd cards :) this the one for you. Its easy and simple to use. Go for it.

Summary: Pretty good
Review: Well, I'm pretty happy with it. The leather case has been feels pretty tough (and the volume control now has a spot for it, so there's no longer that issue that some people had a while ago). The software works okay. Their MPIO allows you to upload songs, create folders, delete songs, etc. You can also name radio stations for frequencies that you have already saved on your player. Finally, there's a feature to change the start-up and shut-down animations (haven't tried it yet though).

However, I'm somewhat disappointed that I can't store the same file in multiple folders. For example, I would possibly want to put a file in the folders "My favorites" and "Easy Listening". It would also be nice if it had smart folders like in Windows Media Player 9. But, I think the only portable players with such features are the heavy and bulky hard-drive based MP3 players.

Also, you can't rearrange songs from your player. You can do this with your computer, but I would like to be able to organize my songs from the player alone.

I previously considered buying a minidisc. So, I think for the same amount of money, minidisc can still offer more features (in terms of playback options and folder management). However, the fact that mp3 players use optical media is still the deciding issue for me (mp3 players are definitely smaller/lighter and are guaranteed to be skip-free).

Thus, I would recommend this product for someone looking for a small and light music player. It doesn't have all the advanced organizational features, but considering its size, oh well.

Summary: Good looks bad sound
Review: I bought this based mainly on its looks; it is by far the best looking small MP3 player on the market today. The bad side is that it has very bad sound quality on MP3 and on WMP formats, on top of that it has developed a annoying habit of turning itself off at random times when i took it back to the BestBuy that i got it from the person at the returns desk told me that i was the third person in a month to take one back with the same problem

Summary: Great MP3 Player - Very, very pleased.
Review: I did a lot of research prior to purchasing this item and I am a very picky consumer with fairly high standards and I have to say that I was impressed with this item. The sound quality is wonderful, the features are great, and it does not skip when you go running. I purchased an MP3 arm band MP3 holder made by BodyGlove at Wal-Mart (on clearance for $7), popped the MPIO in it and was off and running and it didn't skip a beat. Considering the prices out there for MP3's with similar storage capacity, the price is well worth it. The reason I am giving it 4 stars rather than 5 is that the manual is very poorly written, but if you're half-way intelligent, you can pretty much figure things out on your own. The software and the unit itself is fairly intuitive. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Summary: Want a great MP3 player with everything? Buy this one!
Review: I think the title has said it all. This thing is great, hold a good amount of songs, the size is incredible, and I was amazed at how good the FM stations came in. The software is a piece of cake to use and the shiny silver looks great, not like those cheesy plastic RIOs. And it comes with a leather case that clips to your shorts, man what a deal!!

Summary: EXCELLENT! Worth every penny and more!
Review: I was a little skeptical at first. Not only was I hesitant about getting an MP3 player from a no-name brand, I was worried about getting an MP3 Player, period. Would it be worth it? Trust me, it is. It is very small and lightweight, and will fit in all of my pockets, and w/out the battery, it weighs about the same as a 2 large paper clips. Seriously. I'm a high school student and I do a lot of athletics. It's good for both. During study halls, between classes, waiting for a ride to and from school... It's so convenient because you don't have to carry around a big thing of CD's, it's all right on this tiny thing. Plus, if you only like 1 or two songs on a CD, you don't have to skip 12 songs to get to it, just put your favorites on, and leave the others off. I haven't tried it yet, but if you don't feel like taking notes, you could record the teacher's lecture and play it back for later use with the handy record function. Another great thing is that because it never skips and is so small I can put it in my pocket while I am going biking, jogging, playing football, going skiing (I don't actually know if this works yet, winter hasn't arrived yet) and playing paintball. It's very durable, it seems to have a pretty quality design, and I've dropped it a few times and there wasn't a problem. There's a lot of great options like an equalizer with preset settings, or you can make your own custom. Now to the software... I said that like it was a bad thing, but it wasn't. I stuck the CD in, clicked on the thing I wanted to install and there was no problems with either my Windows XP computer or my family's Windows ME computer. (Mine doesnt have internet so if I want to get songs that aren't from a CD I have to use my family's) It is very easy-to-use, you simply tell the program where the songs are on your computer, and click-drag-drop them into the MP3 Player. It takes maybe 10 seconds for 3 minutes of music. And it doesn't have to be music you put on there. No more transporting a floppy disk to and from school. You can put reports and pictures and small games on there to move them to other computers. Only problem is you have to have the software installed on the computer you're taking it to. I was lucky and my history teacher let me use his. I don't like giving products 5 automatically, because evrything has flaws, but honestly I really can't find any. Everyone complains about the carrying case, the plastic pushes the button but not enough to change the volume. It is a little hard to get it out of the case but that's not bad enough to deduct a whole star... Overall, a great, convenient little device that's worth your money.

Summary: Don't waste your time or money.
Review: I purchased this item because I was impressed with all of the features for the money.

It was fairly easy to download and rip the music from my cds to the included program and load into the player. The earphones included in this are terrible. I replaced them and the sound improved, but I am not impressed with the sound. The bass is weak even with the new headphones and the equilizer set to dynamic bass. Also, the first time I went to use it, the system turned off and wouldn't allow me to play any songs. It has done that twice for no reason at all and no warning. I have only owned it for 6 days.

Save your money! I had better sound with my portable cd player. I am returning mine and planning on purchasing the iaudio cw-300. My advice is to not waste your time or money. This company should have put more money into the sound of the product instead of all the bells and whistles.

Summary: Cannot play many MP3 files
Review: Beware of some serious flaws with this poorly designed product. If you have MP3 files ripped from a couple years ago, or using odd bitrates (i.e., not 64 or 128), you are likely to encounter problems with transfering and playing the files. The buttons are also way too stiff, and the included earbuds are a cruel joke for most adults.
