Summary: Quit working after a month
Review: I bought this thing while i was TDY in the desert and after using it only a month every day the thing stopped working and i had already had problems with it freezing up on me. oh well, it was good while it lasted

Summary: Not worth the Money
Review: Broke after 10 months of owning, and no way to get it replaced, customer service sucks. My buddy bought one too and his broke after 6 months. I wouldn't waste my money on the thing, not worth it.

Summary: So far so good...
Review: i purchased this device solely for my gym workouts and exercise program. i am a sworn enemy of Musicmatch media player, and this is the software Nike and Phillips pair with their mp3 player. i hassled with Musicmatch for nearly an hour before it dawned on me that another media player might be compatible. I tried RealOne initially, but it doesn't support it, Windows Media Player saved the day - i should've just used it from the get go, but hey, we all make mistakes. the player recognized my device immediately and i was able to copy songs onto my player in no time. (deleting them is as trivial as 'click' 'delete). no problems so far, i replaced the headphones from the beginning, Nike's headphones come out of my ears when i turn my head to either side - but i have a buddy who loves them and wants to buy mine, but im just gonna let him have them. all in all, it's exactly what i was looking for.

P.S. if you find yourself struggling with the Musicmatch software, don't. Just use something else i.e. Windows Media Player because this whole 'download songs onto my mp3 player' deal is really, really not that hard. and remember to keep an extra AAA battery on you even though it comes with a rechargeable one.

P.P.S. i didn't give this device five stars...well...because nothing gets five stars. there, i said it.

Summary: 2 words - STAY AWAY!
Review: Horrible software support! Horrible physical connectivity! I've had this product working off and on for about one year. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Uses MusicMatch spy/bloatware - NO OTHER ALTERNATIVES to upload music to the player (I looked and tried third-party software, nothing worked reliably).

Horrible design for the USB connection - the back of the case is cheap and flimsy, not user friendly, feels like it will break when you open it up to attach the USB cable, which is at a wierd angle and feels wrong. Shoddy workmanship for this price! I had to exchange the headphones 4 days after purchase because they broke. The magnets have also chipped out of their retaining rings. This thing is junk.

If the unit worked as cool as it looks, it MIGHT be worth the high price tag. Horrible software, horrible design, almost no tech support - a real loser! Don't waste your money. Swoosh indeed - right out of your wallet and into the trash. Go get something better.

Summary: Not bad, but too pricy
Review: I received this mp3 player as a birthday gift. The software is simple to use and the player works well if you take care of it properly. I have to agree with most everyone else; the headphones are just plain weird. I replaced mine immediatly. However, I love the fact that it comes with a battery charger and a regargable battery, since the battery won't last more than a day. Overall this is a good buy for someone who is not too tech savvy or if you don't want all the bells and whistles. As far as life expectancy of this item (which I have heard a lot of complaints about here), If you take good care of it, keep it out of the sun and rain, and follow the instuctions, this mp3 player will last you a long time.

Summary: The Devil Isn't In The Details
Review: For having a sleek design and the attractive quality of being able to use this while on runs or walks, this product needs improvement.

The Pros:
*Lightweight
*Good for use during excercise
*Water Resistant
*Holds About Two Hours of Music (Depending on File Sizes)
*Brand Savvy By Teaming Up With Nike

The Cons:
*Software doesn't jive with Windows XP well and has driver problems
*The battery cover door broke within four months of owning it and I am still waiting for a replacement part on backorder
*The headphones fall apart quickly
*TOO MANY MAGNETS associated with the headphones and you end up constantly snagging onto metal parts (treadmill users will get annoyed fast)
*Horrible Customer Service- Phillips has their call center located somewhere in the East Indes- the accents are hard to decipher on the phone and their phone manner is well, rude
*It eats batteries like they're going out of style

Phillips needs to improve this product a whole lot before it will become competitive with the IPOD and similar brands. However, it could be worse.

Summary: gym rats and runners only
Review: This player is great for runners and gym rats because it's water/sweat resistant. Headphone design could be better but the cord management system and remote, once you take the time to learn how to wear them, are great. Included battery charger is a plus. Little pricey for 128mb but worth it if you are an athlete. Any non-athletic person would not find any of the functionality useful so, don't buy if you are not going to use it during activity. There are many cheaper models to chose from that just play songs.

Summary: My best friend
Review: I have had this product for almost a year and have had used it in almost everyone of my workouts. I love the product and have found the software very easy to use. I have had to get new earphones, but finding comfortable earphones has always been something that i have been searching for. I do love this product and would be lost during my workouts with out it. Which is why I am now looking for a product that holds more music. I workout alot and ussually for a few hours at a time. Phillips and nike have come out with a 256mb and I am looking into that. If you are someone that works out alot, i would look into something that holds a bit more music than this. Otherwise this is a product that i wouldn't workout with out it :)

Summary: dont do it.
Review: I am not much of a computer person, so the software for this player has been very very frustrating. I have seen better user friendly software out there.. I have used the player ONLY a handful of times and today, as I set out for my run, it has decided just not to work anymore. I am about ready to return this piece of crap..and the headphones suck too. i should have spent my money on an ipod.

Summary: Don't waste your money
Review: This MP3 player is piece junk. I bought one and two months later it totally died. Philips replaced it on warranty and two weeks after I got the replacement it died too. Customer support was completely unhelpful the second time. I suspect they are as sick of this prouduct as I am.
