Rating: Summary: Makes a good mirror too! Review: I had considered getting a flashdrive/mp3 player for a while and looked around quite a bit. A friend has a Nomad and I thought for a while about getting one. The new Nomad with radio receiver is basically like this MPIO in what it can do and in interface. But the MPIO is a lot cheaper in price. This unit is working great so far. There is enough interface that you can navigate around and adjust all the settings easily, from EQ settings to tuning in radio stations. I was quite surprised with the good sound quality as well! I was expecting it to be a bit tinny or crackly, but no, the sound it outputs is quite nice. The only problems keeping it from getting 5 stars from me are: A) most importantly, you need to install their software to enable USB connection to your computer. I would much prefer the software-free plug and play of many USB flash drives. Despite this, it basically installs a program manager much like Explorer which you have to upload and download your files with. BTW: The MPIO does act as just a regular flashdrive, so you can store regular computer files on it. This was an important condition for me. Unfortunately, in order to carry files from place to place, the software needs to be installed on each computer. B) While the leather case is quite nice, what's with the wrist strap? I hope no one actually tries to put this on their wrist as it is more like a necklace type thing. This is probably the worst thing about the MPIO package as it is basically useless. The leather case at least has a small belt loop but if you are looking forward to using this while exercising, be warned you will need to find an alternate method of fashioning this gadget to your body.
Rating: Summary: Doen Not Work on some machines Review: I got this one brand new and the sample song worked great. It looked great and then I installed the software on my conputer. but wait!!! whenever i would access the software it would remove the driver for this mp3 player. called tech support and they tried to help me but finally they told me "Return it to amazon.com". We are sorry we could not get it to work on your machine. My configuration: Amd Atlon 2P system with windows 2000 Pro. The tech support guy said that they have not tested this prodeuct on windows 2000 pro.... by the way the users manual if funny.
Rating: Summary: Great mp3 Player Review: I must say that with all the choices one can make when purchasing an mp3 player it can be confusing. This is a great player. It has plenty of ram onboard, and with a SD ram slot you can always add more later. Easy to use controls and software. The FM tuner isn't the best but thats not why your really buying it anyway. All around this is a great buy.
Rating: Summary: This little puppy rocks big time! Review: After doing months of research on MP3 players, it really became a no-brainer to buy the FL100 - pound for pound, it's the best value out there at the moment. I'm not a techno-wizz but this has to have been as easy to set up as it gets - within 10 minutes i was rocking! All MP3 players offer similar features - just at 128MB, this takes approx 30 songs. The FM is very good and the voce recorder ain't too shabby! The firmware is easy to download [if you feel you have to] but the only downside is battery life - it's nowhere near the 11 hours advertised! Try 6 hours. Feels a bit light and flimsy but the carry case soothes that worry. You're better off buying the FL100 rather han the older FD100 due to it's ability to take newer SD or MMC memory - ok, it's a tad expensive now but it will get cheaper. I should have gone the extra mile for the 256 Model! In short - buy it, it's the best value!
Rating: Summary: Great Value - Great for excersizing too Review: I was concerned initially when deciding what MP3 player to get as I was looking for something to work out with. No reviews made mention of that purpose, while plenty has been said on the subject when talking of the MPIO DMK 128. Also, I had seen some reviews saying that the case wasn't too good and didn't allow access to the buttons. Well, that may have been the case, but if so they've made alterations and the case works quite well. I usually just clip it to my shorts when working out. It's out of the way but easy to access when I want to skip to the next song (or even change directories). The only other thing to say (given that everything else is in the other reviews) is that the box does not say how much internal memory the player has. Only after you turn it on (by holding down the play button for several seconds) will you know for sure that you got the right player. I haven't gotten any expansion memory yet, but I look forward to doing so. I haven't tried out any other mp3 players, but I know a winner when I use one.
Rating: Summary: Off the hizzowww!!! Ummm. It's Great!!! Review: For those people who are complaining about the Bass, the problem is two-fold. First read the manual. Second get a good set of earphones. The supplied earphones are GARBAGE. I've hooked this bad-boy up to my Multimedia Speakers and WOW!! Easy to use interface, nice belt clip/case, FM, Voice Record, 256MB, expandable, compact/tiny, and a very good price. What more do you need? Elias

Rating: Summary: for people on the go Review: As a college student and avid jogger, I wanted a compact, skip-free, and reasonably priced music player that offered a bunch of features for little dough. After my Sony MiniDisc got jacked, I needed a replacement that I could use for an assortment of tasks. So I looked into a variety of MP3's, such as the Apple ipod and Nike ACT200 Sport MP3. Simply put, the ipod can store a ton of songs (which seems a bit excessive given that I have a computer for that job) but is neither cheap nor suitable for jogging or working out. Then I looked at the Nike Sport. Initially, this player sparked my interest because it caters to runners and is modestly priced but upon closer inspection, I quickly realized that the unit is unsightly and has superfluous keypads as operation of the unit is done via belt clip to arm strap amassed tangled wires. What's more, it's extremely unwieldy and bulky (isn't mobility a key feature to an MP3?) Eventually, I came across Digitalway's MPIO. I hate to admit it but I'm kind of a name brand person when it comes to electronics so I was a bit leery at even checking it out. But after some research, I realized that for the same cost, there is nothing else right now that is comparable to the features it offers. Upgradeable, it easily holds enough songs to keep me entertained while I jog or do schoolwork. Better yet, it combines my $50 Sony Sports Armband Radio with my $180 MiniDisc into one small unit that does both for half the cost and at a fraction of the size and weight. Programming FM stations onto the MPIO, which is done using the software, allowed me to put only the stations that I wanted. Reception is crisp and scanning through saved stations is quick. The earphones are comfy and the reception is very loud and clear. But best of all, unlike my MiniDisc, which I had to hold while running in order to avoid skipping, the MPIO has no moving parts, thus, eliminating skipping altogether. The only thing I can complain about is that instead of an armband, it comes with a black "leather" belt clip that is useful for running but could use another go around in the design department. So far, I think this player is impressive and it seems everyone I meet thinks so as well. Random people will come up to me while I'm at the beach or walking to school and ask where I got it, frequently commenting on its super sleek design and diminutive size. Almost all are blown away at how little I paid for it and many seem psyched to have one for their own. My bro just ordered one after I told him I was tired of him borrowing mine. I recommend comparing prices before you buy but when I looked at other online distributors before purchasing mine, Amazon sold it for the least. Shipping is free but you'll get taxed during check out.
Rating: Summary: This is Mp3 player is pretty hot Review: This has to be the best electronic purchase I've made in the past four years. I didn't think I could find a new and comparable Mp3 player to my Scensory Science 2200 which died and has since been discontinued. But this DigitalWay kicks some serious booty and I'm glad I made the purchase. Except for the garbage headphones, which come standard with every portable audio device these days, the entire package works extremely well and easily including the psuedo cool file "Manager" software. Setup took about ten minutes including the programming of the digital FM tuner and the loading of wma files (It plays these in addition to mp3 and ASF files). With a nice set of headphones, you'll be hard pressed to do better than this device at any price. Get it now!
Rating: Summary: Excellent Product Review: This is one of the best MP3 players for the price. It does exactly what it says, Plays Mp3, FM, Record from FM and also you can record your voice or lecture if you are in a class. And it does it in a very efficient manner. What more can you ask from a small mp3 player. Also you can add another 256MB SD card and have a total of 386MB of Music in your hand. If you want a good and cheap MP3 player buy this one. You won't be disappointed.
