Rating: Summary: Great little device Review: I have never written a product review before, but this item definitely merits some praise.I used my old MP3 player until it gave out, and did a great deal of comparison shopping before I made my decision. I am very happy with the Digitalway MPIO FL100. Pros: Small size of the unit. Mostly intuitive operation (after a few minutes of use, the buttons make sense). FM radio is nice. Good sound (I imagine it will be even better with better headphones). Memory can be expanded, unlike some other 256 MB MP3 Players. Cons: I wish it worked with MusicMatch Jukebox, but this is a minor inconvenience. In some places, the instructions are almost indecipherable; a re-write of the manual is in order, using better English. The inclusion of an FM radio recorder is baffling; does anyone actually do this? All in all, a great purchase. The "cons" keep me from giving this a "5" rating it would otherwise deserve. (I am unable to give it a 4.5).
Rating: Summary: great sound Review: This is a great player. I purchased the 256 meg version and I have a 256 sandisk sd card inside. Included earbuds are horrible. No bass is heard from the fl100 with included earbuds. I purchased the sony mdr-ex5 earbuds. now those rock. worth the money. so in sum. . .buy the mpio. ditch the mpio earbuds and buy the sony mdr-ex5 earbuds. Don't forget to turn on dyanmic bass on the mpio. woot!!! Also, transfer of songs is fast to the mpio but a little slower to the SD card. firmware update is very easy to do with the mpio manager.
Rating: Summary: Great mp3 player Review: This player is fantastic!!! I have been using it for a week with no problems. I have Win XP Pro and was able to use a plug-in that came with the player so i could use windows media player 9. I really liked that i didnt have to install or learn new software. The sound quality is great and the fm radio is clear. I am really impressed to have all these features for such a reasonable price.
Rating: Summary: Best Mp3 Player on the market! Review: Received this Mp3 player from Amazon the exact day they estimated. The MPIO FL100 worked right out of the box. Insert CD, download, connect USB to device. BAM! It worked perfectly. The backlit display is a great feature to use when its dark or when you can't see the display. The navigation is great, this way you can decide which song you want instead of clicking the "Next Song" button 30 times (like on a CD player), you can just choose and click. The Voice Recording isn't too bad at all. Great for lectures in class. FM Tuner is okay, haven't used it as much. I bought this for the Mp3 Section, not the Radio (my opinion, by the looks of it -FM Tuner is great on this). All the features on this makes it worth the price. With the expandable memory, just pop in a 256MB and you have 100 songs in your hand. Buy this Mp3 Player, your crazy if you don't.
Rating: Summary: had it for six months - it's pretty good Review: I've had mine for six months now. The player is great for jogging, etc. Overall, I'm still happy with it. Here are my (minor)gripes 1. I had to stretch out the pleather holder a little - it kept pressing the side buttons because it hugged it unit too closely. After stretching the holder a little, it's great now. 2. The software that allows me to download files to the unit is pretty darned quirky. But, they keep posting updates, so I can only expect that this will improve. I haven't tried the windows media player plug-in yet, though. 3. When the unit powers up and powers down, the screen displays an annoying animation (3-4 sec). When I turn on the unit, I want it to start playing music as soon as possible! 4. The firmware is pretty glitchy. For example, it doesn't play songs in any discernable order, and it likes to repeat some songs a lot before playing all of them once. 5. The controls are a little awkward to control when running. I've had the unit for six months now, and it's still difficult for me to adjust the volume, etc. by touch alone. But, as I said, overall I'm happy with it.
Rating: Summary: Love it Review: When I began looking for an MP3 player, wasn't sure what I wanted -- one with hard disk to hold all of my CDs (and heavier), or one with enough memory to hold a few CDs (and much lighter). I decided on the latter and am glad I did. I'm a bit of a novice with digital music, but I was able to easily download the software & upload the music with no problems. Handles .wma files easily & can hold about 6-7 CDs with the internal memory in that format -- plenty of music to take along with you in my opinion. And, if that's not enough, install an SD/MMC card and add more memory. I agree with the comments on the earphones & intend to replace them -- a little uncomfortable to wear as well. Highly recommended...
Rating: Summary: BUY ONLY IF YOU ENJOY LOSING MONEY Review: Everything worked great for five weeks until the stupid thing just stopped working in the middle of a song. I have never dropped it or overused it. I took great care of it, only using for 1-2 hours a day during my commute. I have not been able to turn it on since. It's totally dead. I contacted the manufacturer (after several calls and e-mails), and they sent me back to Amazon for a refund. They said, "Not our problem; you didn't buy from us. Contact Amazon." This product is #2 human waste in disguise. Buy it only if you enjoy throwing your money away.
Rating: Summary: Great little Mp3 Review: ...Now, the Mp3 Player worked right out of the box. All I had to do was insert the battery, hook up the Music Program and BAM!..it worked. The leather case is a nice touch and so far everything is working fine. Sound Quality is EXCELLENT! Display works great, easy to see. All the features on this little guy is awesome. Buy this product, you'll love it!!
Rating: Summary: I Love it !!! Review: I am a compute neophyte. This was a snap to install the software and download the MP3 music file for playback. The sound is much better than I ever imagined. No complaints at all. I just bought a second one for my wife.
Rating: Summary: What a great mp3 player Review: i luv this mp3 player cuz it has everything that i want in an mp3 player. i luv this mp3 player cuz its portable, it fits right into my pocket, so i have my hands free. the software is so easy to install and only took me minutes to upload music. what i also like about the mpio FL100 is that it has an FM tuner, which was what i wanted most in buying an mp3 player. although the box only had japanese instructions, it was pretty easy to search for english instructions on the net. the only thing that annoys me about the mpio FL100 is that the battery life is so short. but over all its great.
