Rating: Summary: Great product, horrible customer service! Review: I wrote a review on this product some time back, with the highest rating. I would like to retract that rating for one single reason: Customer service is the worst I have EVER encountered for any product. I know I am not the first to have these thoughts regarding this company. I will not bore you with the details of my experiences, but I will tell you that I have reported them to the BBB, and have taken the time to write this review, in other words it is that bad. So bad, that I would not tell any of you to buy this product! With the competitive market out there I suggest buying another product that does not carry the Sonicblue name. Heed the warning now, trust me.
Rating: Summary: Better than every expectation!!! Review: I love this mp3 player. I read all the reviews and decided that I'd still get it and overcome some of the mishaps encountered by those who posted their reviews. When I got my Rio and hooked it up to MediaPlayer, I was ready to go. Very easy to use, very sturdy and durable. Please ignore any negative feedback you've read on here and purchase this thing. I run and lift weigts with this and never have I been disappointed. I actually look at the other people at the gym with their other mp3 players and feel sorry for them - seriously! It's great. One recommendation, however, I suggest getting some sweet all whether headphones with some good bass, it makes exercising a lot easier. Other than that, this unit is all you'll ever need. So easy to use, I haven't needed to read the manual yet.
Rating: Summary: Great player. Review: I bought the Rio Sport player for running, and it has never let me down. It's durable, easy to learn, very lightweight, and has helped a lot in keeping me on the trails. The memory storage is perfectly adequate (especially if you're listening to speech, like MP3 ripped Books on Tapes - you can store almost a full days worth of audio!), and getting a whole new play list is a snap. The only down-side I can find is that it doesn't have an AM tuner (FM only); but I figure that's pretty much the minority these days.
Rating: Summary: Pretty Slick Little Player Review: It's about time I finally found this little guy. Iv'e been waiting for it for some time and finally got one. I'm an avid excersise buff and although I just got it less than a week ago I have few complaints so far. Despite week sounding headphones and crumy radio reception it's been a real joy to use and does not interfere with rigourous physical activity. It's so light you dont even know it's there. I find myself checking that it's still clipped to me from time to time. I loaded basically 33 tunes on the Internal memory provided. The arm band is a bit tight if your an avid weight trainer but I found that I can slide it down below my biceps when running and it rest on my forearm which works well. I'm pretty harsh on portable players so I'm curious how this one will hold up. Maybe I'll write another review down the road. Word of advice: Get a new set of headphone. The Software was easy to load and use. It seems the biggest complaint with this player has been the headphones,Radio reception and Sonic Blue Support. I have not needed to call there support line as of yet (Knock on Wood) so I cant say much about that. I can confirm the headphones and Radio reception issues though but that was not the deciding factor as to why I made this purchase. So far no complaints :) Enjoy this rugged fun little player. Ciao!
Rating: Summary: GREAT! Review: This RIO is great. My husband brought one and now I'm going to buy one.
Rating: Summary: Best in its price range Review: This product is far superior than its chief competitors. The menus are user-friendly, the packaged software works fine, and the sound quality is good. The only problem I had with it at first was the headphones. There wasn't any sound coming out of the right earplug, but after a few tweaks here and there, it worked out fine. Overall, a very good buy...if, of course, you're lucky to find one. This thing sells out quick!
Rating: Summary: Great product...no wonder it's sold out everywhere Review: ...The Rio S35S is great. The packaged software works fine, and the product itself delivers great sound. Had trouble with the earphones (I wasn't getting any sound from the right plug), but after a few tweaks here and there, it worked ok. The menus are easy to work, the buttons are user friendly, and the display is much better looking than its chief competitors. Overall, it's the best in its class--by far.
Rating: Summary: Very Small, Reliable, and Sturdy! Review: I've bought the sonic rio s35s about a month ago. When it was delivered to my home, I couldn't believe how small it was. The software itself is okay, it gets the job done. I usually go weight-train with this and i use the strap for my arm. it works pretty well but sometimes it tends to slide the player out a bit. but u can readjust it. the only thing i can a problem is the arm strap. it works dont get me wrong but if they took a little time into it. they could've got a better one. the only reason i bought this is, its small, and u can strap it on ur arm for workouts. other than that it's probably my best purchase in a long time. plus u can expand the 128mb onboard memory with an external card up to 264mb! pretty nifty. oh and i like how if u drop it on the floor its not big a deal cuz it has a rubbery interface its cool. better than carrying a heavy fragile ipod to workout!
Rating: Summary: It lasted 1 week... Review: I loved it while it was working. It has a lot of great user-friendly features. I received it in the mail and with in a week it would turn on and get stuck on the first screen. I couldn't even turn it off - I had to remove the battery. I will be getting a replacement and we will see how that one does. If it worked it would be a great product!
Rating: Summary: The Best Review: After three kinds of MP3 players bought. I found out about this and it really got me going. It really inspire you to go to the gym and start working out. PROS: 1. Very small and has good looks 2. With an additional SD card, youve got tons of music 3. Love the sportsband 4. Cool displays CONS: 1. Headphones could be better ( I bought sony earbuds) 2. Cant manage music selections (hopefully resolve in the next firmware upgrade) 3. I want it to be louder
