Rating: Summary: I don't leave home without it.... Review: The Nomad II is my absolute must in my life, as it should be for everyone else. Yes, I'm a student at college, but i take it everywhere, and if I leave home without it, like I did today, I go back to get it. Anyways, onto the good parts... the sound quality is absolutely superb, as good as any non-portable cd player, as it had bass and treble controls along with preset sound qualities. Also, I can fit a lot of songs onto the tiny memory cards. I personally have two memory cards, though I havent really had any real use for the second as I'm changing music so much that it is not needed. I usually have 20 songs on my Nomad at a time. The Nomad Manager that is a program that allows you to download and upload songs to-and-from your Nomad, is extremely easy to use, fast (each song only takes about 3 seconds depending on the size), and not too complicated to understand (considering I am horrible at computers). I also love the radio. I go on trips often to California (across the country for me) and the long plane ride can get tidious if you listen to the same songs over and over, therefore, the handy-dandy radio! Note, the channel scanning wasn't very good when I first bought it, but Creative has downloads that update your Nomad, such as WMA compatability, better low battery detection, and an updated radio scanner. A common AA batery lasts 4 hours, just as they say in the product review. My advice, buy a Nomad II...I suggest buying one...and having to wait...to get my hands on one of these! It never skips, with no moving parts, and everything about it makes it one of the best products I have ever owned. I hope everyone else enjoys it just as much as I do.

Rating: Summary: Great product Review: The NOMAD II player plays CD quality audio for over an hour of music. The battery life is excellent I have used the supplied AA size 1.5V alkaline battery for many hours and it still continues to play. I measured the battery voltage. The unit works even when the battery has discharged to 1 Volt! It comes bundled with a lot of nice software. It took some work to get the CD recording speed to maximum though (use the auto configuration setting). The FM feature is a nice bonus but the sensitivity is poor. The stereo separation varies when moving about. Sorry to say that my $40 Sony Walkman outperforms it on FM. Amazon's service to deliver this unit to me was excellent
Rating: Summary: A great buy! Review: This is my first mp3 player. I think I made a great decision. Did some research and based on the great reviews this product already has been getting, decided to purchase. Plain and simple, works out of the box, I had absolutely no trouble getting it going. The FM tuner is a great feature too, as most players have no tuner. And it sounds awesome. Only drawback is no onboard memory. Not sure if there will ever be a 128mb smart card for this puppy, or will it's operating system ever be able to accomodate a card of that size if it exists. But the bottom line is, for what I use it for (I'm a runner), it's a great buy!

Rating: Summary: The Only One You Need Review: This is the first and only mp3 player I will ever buy. It is a great product because it plays mp3's..duh, has a radio tuner and you can also use it as a recording device which is great to record lectures, notes and memos. And the USB connection makes transfering music so easy anyone can do it in seconds. If you are looking for and mp3 player that does it all this is it.
Rating: Summary: Poor Quality Review: This item was dead out of the box for me. Look elsewhere. Normally, Creative Labs has great quality. Not this time.

Rating: Summary: Not worth it Review: This MP3 player did not live up to my expectations. It constantly jammed; meaning that I had to take the battery out to change a radio station or even move on to the next song. Also, setting radio pre-sets was complicated. Mine actually died only 9 months after purchase. Not exactly the longest living MP3 player.
