Rating: Summary: ...USB adapter for YP-E64 Review: The yepp comes with parallel adapter and USB adapter as an option. Unfortunatly, i can't find USB adapter to buy. This product for my year of expirience has big disadvantage, not coming with USB. Another disadvantage is the uncompability to Windows XP

Rating: Summary: Exceeded expectations Review: The Yepp E64 is an excellent little system. I was tempted to go for the Diamond Rio 500 but I am required to use only Windows 95 and the RIO only has a USB option. The memory was the same capacity and the difference in features were minor. The Rio does have more custamizable sound settings so that you can choose your own Treble and Bass levels etc. but I found the Yepp's built in presets perfectly fine for listening to pretty much every type of music. It dosent have a backlight true but the controls are very intuitive and after an hour using it I felt I didnt need to look at it. Thats not to say it isnt pretty and it's silver colour definetly gives it a "wow ..lemme touch " factor. Sound quality is as I expected but yes the headphones , while adequate , are best replaced to allow the system to really shine. All in all I'm very happy.
Rating: Summary: The previous reviewer is correct Review: The Yepp YP-E64 is a great product and has amazing battery life and sound. I, tried 64MB SmartMedia cards (3 cards: 2 Viking cards and one SanDisk card) and found that they do not work with the Yepp. When you insert a 64MB card, the Yepp gets confused and alternates between the word "stop" and a listing of the songs that are on the Yepp. Also, the display when the Yepp is turned on with a 64MB card inserted says "Card: 00MB" (which is odd since the built-in memory shows as 64MB). All in all, the Yepp is a great product. I will end up using 32MB SmartMedia cards based: 1) information from albion000's review and 2) the fact that the Samsung website for the Yepp shows that the only card that Samsung makes for the Yepp is a 32MB SmartMedia card.
Rating: Summary: Great Device, Worth the Money Review: The Yepp, as far as I can tell, is just about the best on the market. Not as expensive as many, it works just as well as any other. Very small, light and easy to use. It never skips and the sound quality is CD or better. Many people have put down the headphones, but I've found that they work pretty well. Battery life on this player is also exceptional. It gets at least ten good hours before running out on two AAA batteries. The voice recorder works well and although I don't personally use the phone book, it is easy to use. Although this model does not have a light, it's not a tremendous drawback. The display screen is clear and even in the dark the controls are so easy, it's not as necessary. I've heard that this drains the battery anyway. Contrary to what some have said, the Yepp does take flashmedia from other companies. The misconception comes from the fact that the player will only take 32 MB cards. No matter what the brand, a 64 MB will not work. This is a minor drawback, but considering that two 32 MB cards cost the same as one 64 MB, it's not a big problem. Finally, the Yepp software is very workable and allows for simple organization of music. On the whole, this is a great mp3 player and in my opinion, is the best value price wise.
Rating: Summary: Almost Perfect Review: The yp-e64 is pretty good. I use it everyday. But there are some minor problems with it. 1) The player's paint peels off real easily (you can scratch it and the paint will go bye bye). 2) The ear phones are a real tradgedy. The right ear stopped working after only 3 months of use. I had to go and buy new ones. (...) 3) The player can only take 32 mb cards (...)It's also not the fastest mp3 player around. Other than that the mp3s great. I think the telephone directory really comes in handy, and so does the voice recording. The player is also sturdy. It has one of the best sounds around (the intel audio player is better though). My advice is that you should look around some more before you purchase this item.
Rating: Summary: Great MP3 Player(1 problem though) Review: This is a great MP3 player. It plays MP3 players with good sound, and the headphones sound good, but they are very uncomfortable. So I got my own pair of Sony headphones. It downloads at a good speed, not too slow. There is only one problem with my player, or more-so with the real jukebox software. It wont turn the tracks from the CD into MP3 files. it just downloads them to my hard drive. if anyone knows how to fix this problem please E-Mail me at MurderX911@ny.freei.net. Thanks
Rating: Summary: IF YOU ONLY READ ONE REVIEW, READ THIS ONE. Review: This MP3 Player is good looking, (Just like the 32MB Version). It has built in 64MB flash memory with an expansion slot, which locks the card into place. It has a recording function with a built in microphone. This is nice but the quality is low, but could prove to be useful in lectures. It has a detachable belt clip. The software is easy to use, however it only supports windows. It uses Parallel, however USB is an optional extra. The controls are simple and need little explaination. It can erase tracks from the flash memory while disconnected from your pc. It also has a function where it repeats a section of the song which you define. It also has the usual CD functions. It has seven different present equalizers, some with 3D sound. It also has a hold button. Now for the Bad Points. It (like all MP3 Players) has average earplugs. It is only powered by 2 AAA batteries, which is alittle anoying as I wanted to use it in my car. It dosen't have a backlite screen, but this would drain battery power anyway. Otherwise you will not be dissapointed in purchasing this product.
Rating: Summary: this things awesome Review: this thing has got great sound and is really durable. so far im really pleased
Rating: Summary: Not quite ready yet Review: Two problems: First of all, there is no driver available for Windows 2000, and I sent their tech support e-mail to find out if one would be available soon and never got an answer back, nor does their Web site contain that information. Second, I sometimes can't fill the last 10 MB of the 64 MB. The PC loses connection with the Yepp player and I have to disconnect and reconnect it several times to get the connection running again and even then, it usually continues to fail when I try to add the last couple of songs. Other than that, this is my first MP3 player and I'm not too disappointed with it. It's really light, it's easy to use, the software is easy to use, it's attractive, and you can lock it so the buttons don't get pressed accidentally. The headphones aren't great, but are fine for an hour of exercise. I recommend looking around more before picking this MP3 player.
