Rating: Summary: Think hard before buying Review: This is a great mp3 player. Use rechargeable batteries. They last a long time and they're better for the enviroment. Using rechargeables you'll save 50 times what you spend using nonrechargeable batteries. HERE"S MY ISSUE. While I had no problems using the musicmatch program, it conflicted with my other programs so that they did not work properly. When contacting customer support I was told there weren't any drivers available other that the .exe file, which is not a driver but a program, on the CD and whatever I could download from RCA's poopy site. I was also told that I would have to figure something out myself. I am considering returning it and buying a different brand because of these issues.
Rating: Summary: Good Product with 1 Flaw Review: The flaw: Every time you start it up it begins at track # 1 and then you have to manually fast forward, track by track, to get to where you left off. This can be labourious (sp?) considering that, with 64Mb of memory, it holds 135 minutes of audio (at 64 bit sound quality, comparable to FM radio). -Fast forwarding through all these tracks is slow because, like an old CD player, you have to 1. FF to a track 2. wait for it to start the track and 3. then FF to the next track. In other words, if you just press the FF button 30 times as fast as you can you'll only be on track 4.The overall construction of the product is quite acceptable and, to double the memory, a 64MB MMCard can be bought for around $ although it seems this would only compound the problem of the aforementioned flaw.
Rating: Summary: Great Little Player Review: I originally started to buy this player months ago, when the 64Mb was around 99.95 and the 32mb was about 79.95...I waited, and it was worth the wait. The player has come down to 79.95 and is great! I got it home, loaded the cd, (already had most of the drivers and stuff loaded on my computer), it took about 10 minutes to download. If you have Windows XP and Real Jukebox, you can have music going in 15 minutes. I downloaded 13 songs total, about all that 64mb will support...around 48 minutes or so. Just depends on length of the songs you download, bit rate, etc. An excellent little player for the price...you can't go too wrong here, comes with a neck strap, a little vinyl carrying case, and a wrist strap. You can maximize the memory with available memory sticks. A light weight, well made little player for the price. Oh yea, comes with some headphones too.......and my take on the battery thing is this: Unless you strap this baby on and listen to it 12 hours a day, I don't think the battery deal is a major issue, I have played all the songs I downloaded 5 times without losing a single bar on the battery graph.....use rechargeable batteries (recommend to anyone with portable devices) or Duracell Ultras.
Rating: Summary: It's good! B U T_T.. Review: It's a very good unit but like all others will say, the Musicmatch© Jukebox Software.. lets say, BIG and CLuTteREd!! One thing I would've liked that was built in is a built in chargeable battery or an A/C adapter[i like listening to it while playing video games online].. even tho it does have 12 hours playback time?
Rating: Summary: Pretty good features, but lacks a bit Review: This is a pretty good product. I bought it during the summer of 2002 and it had about the best features for the price. The two things that it lacks are: needs more internal memory (at least 128mb) and it flies through disposable batteries. My recommendation is to buy rechargeable batteries for it. Batteries last 6-8 hours. My suggestion when searching for an MP3 player is to look for at least 128mb of space, look for a rechargeable player that doesn't use batteries, and also has a memory card slot. Good overall product.
Rating: Summary: Disapointed Review: I was excited to get my new K@zoo mp3 player, and when I got it it took only 10 minutes to get all of the things set up on my computer and another 5 minutes to get about 19 songs onto it. All was decent for about 3 weeks. Within the 3 week span, I went through over 20 pairs of batteries. I put brand new batteries in and the display shown the low battery signal. Then one day I was listening to it while I was working out and shut it off when i was done. An hour later it would not turn back on again. I put brand new batteries in and nothing happened. I was happy for a little, then I was just plain disappointed. Don't buy this product.
Rating: Summary: Great Sound! Great Size! Great Price!! Review: This is one of the best players that I have found. It is does not have a high-end price like the IPOD and others I have tried. Its size makes it so portable and the ability to add a multimedia card to increase its capacity is terrific! The software program bugs me asking for upgrades, but it is a minor thing. Overall, I must say, it is a great buy!
Rating: Summary: Happy with Kazoo Review: Talk about an item that changes one's habit! Prior to buying my Kazoo I would put off the morning jog. Not anymore. With the Kazoo, jogging becomes a pleasure. I've had the Kazoo for a week now and it does everything it said it would. The clarity and volume are fine and loading and removing songs are simple and fast. Some gripe about the 64 memory but I always have 2 or 3 songs left after my 45 minute jog. Anymore room would only be wasted. So light and yet so powerful. Hope it holds up. So far it's a home run.
Rating: Summary: Great Hardware, Poor Software Review: Let me start out with the bad: The MusicMatch software included in with this player stinks! It tries so hard to be convenient it ends up being a nuisance. Playlists are hard to make, because the software groups your songs by different categories that often times don't make sense. I end up making my playlist in winamp and then exporting it to the musicmatch software and then downloading it to my player. Also, the included software apparently is just the baseline software, and everytime you close it down, a very annoying pop-up screen appears asking you for money in order to upgrade to Musicmatch gold. Bad form RCA, should have found better software to compliment your product. Now on to the good stuff: the hardware. The player itself is very intuitive (how hard can an mp3 player be really?). The functions are easy to use, and I can easily change the volume, play settings, song selection etc while I'm running. Speaking of running, this mp3 player is great for that. It comes with many different options of how to secure it to yourself and it has stayed put for me everytime. The lockout function is also handy, because with it turned on, it makes the buttons not work, and thus accidental bumps won't make it switch songs. The headphones were decent, I'm a pretty big person, so I found that they pinched my head a tad, but they overall they had great sound quality and good comfort. The one downside is that this player doesn't have a feature that gives you the name of the song. Overall I am giving this product 4 stars due to the software.
Rating: Summary: Grrrr... Review: I'm cranky about this product. It was good. It was great in fact. It was on its way to FIVE stars. But then it ... out on me. After 3 weeks. And it took 6 days for RCA to get back to me about the fact that it wouldnt play. (Yes, I changed the batteries.) And you know what they said? "Check the manual." Gee thanks. Anyway, I'll be getting a replacement from RCA, by golly, but I'm still pretty torn up about wasting time.
