Summary: I just love it!!!
Review: I spent a lot of time deciding on which MP3 to buy and this was my criteria:
* Compact, light weight.
* Good for jogging.
* Enough memory to store 10-15 songs, but with the option to upgrade in the future.
* Unexpensive.
* Good quality.
* Compatible with XP
So far, this player has met all my criteria, this was the MP3 player I was looking for. The thing I love the most is its compact size makes it ideal for jogging. It comes with carry on accesories to strap it on your wrist, arm, or hang it around your neck. The sound quality is good, I can't complain. And one of my biggest fears was incompatibility with XP, since it is not officially supported and I've read some imcompatibility problems for the Kazoo that comes with 64MB RAM. Anyway that wasn't a problem at all, the revision of the CD it came with had the drivers for XP, and it runs smoothly except you have to use the MusicMatch software provided. Overall this was a great buy, I don't regret it!

Summary: not bad for the price
Review: ...I am running XP and Musicmatch so I got the plugin for this player through musicmatch. As it does not support XP with the drivers it is shipped with. Was a little mad it only supports up to 128mb mmc cards. I have a 256 I can't use. But then I started loading it with music and with 64mb internal and a 32 mb card I was able to get 134 mins of music on it. This amount will very depending on the bitrate the music is encoded in. 64kbs should yield over 2 hours with just internal memory. I can't vouch for the headphones as they were broke when I got the player used. The 5 EQ settings flat, bass, pop,rock,jazz should do nicely for the average listener. Volume is great with the right headphones this will deafen you. Thank you RCA for not following Sony in the volume dampening stuff. USB connection into the player is a little tempermental, plug it in and don't touch it. You can't tell from the picture but this player is not square. It juts out in the back a little to hold the 2 AAA batteries. Haven't had the player long enough to know how long batteries last. Display is large and easy to read. Even says on the player what kbps the song playing is encoded in. You can get upgrades for this player off the RCA website. Like better WMA support. I don't know if that will included other formats (liquid,real,ogg vorbis) in the future or not. Love the no skipping now I can listen to music on my motorcycle! Well thats about it good player overall.

Summary: Great Little Player
Review: I've had this player for 2 yrs; I've worked out and ran with it and it's a great little player. Very reliable and has been dropped a few time without any problems. The plastic casing that ties into the armband didn't last very long, but a new neoprene case was all that's necessary. Great for the memory and price and I've added a MMC card rather than shelf it for a newer, higher MB model.

Summary: cheap; worked great...till it malfunctioned
Review: after a few months i couldn't turn it on without connecting it to my pc USB port. that alone is quite frustrating because once i turn it off while running or biking it stays off. also, the software is just bad; it freezes my whole system and is basically useless now.

avoid this one.

Summary: Great little player! Perfect for on the go music...
Review: I was a little nervous about this new technology and hadn't planned on buying and mp3 player just yet, but a friend let me borrow her Kazoo one day at the beach, and I was hooked! I rushed right out and got my own as soon as I could find one... I ended up having to buy it on an auction site, since *everybody* else was out of stock - these are very popular, apparently, and I know why:

This is a neat little gadget! It looks and works just like a little cd player, but it's TINY, and it doesn't skip - perfect for exercising (or housecleaning, or gardening, or tuning out your coworkers, etc.). The interface and buttons are very intuitive, with the standard button symbols for play, stop, etc. and the display is very easy to read. It also features shuffle/random and repeat, and a button lock, which are not available in all mp3 players. Without the MMC expansion, you'll get about an hour of music, but you can expand to 3 hours!

The included MusicMatch software is easy, even the first time, and I found myself ripping all my CD's to your computer to compile playlists to download to my Kazoo (Playlists can also be burned to CD!). I am fascinated by the fact that the MusicMatch always knows the artist and title of the CD and all the tracks (if connected to the internet)! Downloading to the player is quick and easy also, even if you've never done it before. Easy instructions, and an easy interface.

The sound quality is great - I was surprised it had so much power! And the 2 AAA batteries lasted a lot longer than expected.

My only complaint would be the odd behind-the-neck headphones (I'm just not used to these!), which I replaced cheaply with some in-the-ear types at my local giant convenience mart. :)

Summary: Big Value in a Small Package
Review: I shopped around for an MP3 player for a while and settled on the RCA Kazoo for three reasons. The first was price. I wanted a basic MP3 player but did not really want to spend hundreds of dollars. The second was that I already had the Music Match software on my PC and figured it would be easy to get an MP3 player that works with my existing software. The third was the style - the RCA Kazoo just looks like a cool little gadget.

I am VERY pleased with this unit. This is the perfect MP3 player for jogging, biking, walking, excercising, etc. The compact size and trendy styling makes carrying it around a pleasure. The controls are very simply layed out on the unit making it a very intuitive device. The sound quality is very good. While it doesn't have the sound quality of a high end audio system, it is better than I expected from an MP3 player in this price range. It is certainly more than adequate for a portable, go anywhere, device.

The 64 MB memory is a good size. I can fit about 16 - 18 songs at the 128 sampling rate depending on their length. You can expand the memory on this unit by adding a MMC card though I haven't seen the need to do so yet. Some of the lower priced MP3 players do not have exapandable memory so it is definitely a nice option to have.

There are only a few minor things I would change. The clear plastic carry case seems a bit delicate. It's great for protecting the device from sweat while exercising but I can't help "feeling" like it's only a matter of time before the case tears. So far, though, it has held up well. The other thing I'm not crazy about is the behind the neck loop headphones. They are good for running and walking but you can't lay down or rest your head back on a chair with them on. I plan to use the headphones that came with this for walking and jogging and then using another over the head style for when I'm weight training or just relaxing.

Overall this MP3 player delivers a super value for the price. I highly recomend this for anyone looking for an MP3 player to use while exercising. It's also a great choice for those who want their first MP3 player or for those still on the fence about buying one. For the price, you really can't go wrong with the RCA Kazoo.

Summary: decent but parts broke
Review: I bought mine about 2 years ago and it's still working. However after about 1 year the hold switch broke right off, i tryed to contact rca a couple of times but I never recived any help so a month ago i managed to fix it myself. I'm planning to upgared soon because; space is very limited, and there are a alot of new fetures out there.
I did find the resampling fuction in musicmatch really useful.
As i said it's still working after 2 years!

Summary: good little player
Review: i bought this mp3 player a while ago and it was great. good music for working out or studying in the library. not many songs fit on the player but i am sure if i sprung for the extra memory it would be fine. when i first got the player i had windows 98 on my old computer and when i upgraded couldnt for the life of me figure out why it wouldnt work. guess it doesnt work with xp...which didnt really matter when i first bought it. now i have to find a way to work around that slight setback. but other then that it was great. i didnt like the headphones but that was easily fixable. since everyone has different preferances on those anyway. i recomend it for those who dont need to store massive ammounts of music at a time and who dont need the latest technology since it is a year or two old i believe. good for the price. i would get it again... just stinks that now i have windows xp and not 98.

Review: If you lost a USB Connection cord for this player-- put it in trash. You will never find a replacement USB cord ever again! This is soo frustrating!!!
