Summary: I love my tunes!
Review: I got the Samsung YP-30SH (128MB) MP3 player for Christmas and love it! I look forward to working out so I can wear it. Compared to luging around a CD player this is a breeze. My wife and I fight over who get to use it at the REC Center. Now she wants one, guess I have a birthday idea.
Two things I don't like about it. Had to pay $$$ to unlock the YEPP Audio Manager software after I ripped 50 free MP3 files. I think this is ridiculous for a player, this software should be included for free. Plus that the software is not that good. I'm using it in Windows XP and it is slow and will often times lockup. My PC was rock solid until now!
Second is the arm band. I workout, lift weights and thought this would be great to use. I don't have small arms but there are alot of weight lifters that have bigger arms and the arm band opened up all the way is very TIGHT! Samsung, come on make the arm band big enough for Americans.
Other then that it is great. Unbelievable small size, you don't even know you are wearing it. I agree the bud phones don't work well for working out, they fall out to easily. If you are sitting they are OK. I spend $$ on a pair of Phillips clip on ear buds and like these.
I would highly recommend this unit.

Summary: look elsewhere
Review: I have been very disappointed in this product. After following the directions to set up the software and following the trouble shooting guide, the software still doesn't work. Customer support has been nonexistant. For the price, there are better products and companies out there.

Summary: Nothing But Problems
Review: I have had nothing but problems with this product. The physical design of the device is such that it is very difficult to interface with, the software is abysmal, and as of right now I can't even get any music transferred from my computer to the device. I wouldn't pay $.. for this product, let alone $.... Don't get sucked into the same trap that I did!

Summary: Sweet Jesus this is god to mp3 lovers out there
Review: I have had this MP3 player for nearly a year now, and I have had no problems with it, other than the software. Like other reviewers have said, the software is horrible. It's not compatible with ANYTHING and it's generally difficult and awkward to navigate. The player, however, is durable, sounds great, lightweight and easy to use.

Summary: Awesome purchase!!
Review: I love the Yepp player. Got the 128 Meg version for Christmas this year and I absolutely love it. Can store about 40 songs and changing them is really really easy. The battery life is also good, about one week per one AAA battery. It's also very resistant. It got thrown in the washing machine (NOT recommended) last week, and after an hour of the blow dryer, everything is working fine! That is unbelievable. The sound quality will amaze you. Very nice purchase for anyone who hates lugging around a huge CD player!

Summary: Great little player!
Review: I own the YP-30SH which has 128mb (the YP-30S has 64mb). It's a great player, although the software is clunky and confusing. You can download a simple Yepp Explorer program, and it's as easy as dragging and dropping the mp3's you want into the player.

If you plan on using while excercising at the gym or jogging/running, I highly recommend it. It sounds great, is ultra-lightweight, and simple to use. Samsung put a lot of thought into this product, which is evident just from the cool cylinder packaging. It comes with carrying cases for your belt, arm/wrist, and even neck.

No problems running the explorer software on windows 2000 and XP.

Summary: Quick, easy, priced right, sounds good
Review: I purchased this based on the other reviews here. I just got it in the mail. Barely reading the directions (a guy thing), I had the software installed and sounds uploaded in less than 5 minutes. Fortunately, I had remembered other reviewers stating that the headsets were of poor quality, I had a slight panic. But, I put in some other ones I had, voila....ready to rocknroll. Ok, one more excuse gone to get on the treadmill.

Summary: Does Size Matter?
Review: I recently purchased the YP-30S and have nothing but good things to say about the player. If you are looking for a player to take to the gym, jogging, biking, or any other bouncy-type activity...this player is probably going to work for you. It comes with some nice features such as an arm-band and belt-clip. The design of the unit is not exactly built for those with big fingers, but it doesn't take long to figure out how to work the controls. I am not crazy about the software as it isn't as intuitive as most and has the very annoying 'feature' of searching your entire hard drive for audio tracks (including every WAV, mp3, MWA, etc), but it is passable for the price. This annoying feature just means you have to filter out all of the files you don't want (as the player only supports mp3 files).

If size (of the unit and disk space) doesn't matter, drop the cash and hit the gym.

Summary: Samsung Yepp YP-30S
Review: I thought that this is a great MP3 player. I went to a media store, knowing that it was small, but when I first saw it, it amazed me. It was really tiny. Once I got home, I downloaded the software onto my computer, and started downloading songs on it. It has worked great ever since. The batteries last long, up to 15 hours. The software was easy to use. The only problems I had with it were that it didn't have very much memory, I couldn't pause, and some of the songs would't go onto it. I wish it either had more memory, or it had an expansion slot. When I stopped it, it turned off unlike a CD player. The worst problem was trying to download some of the songs. When I tried from My Computer, the songs wouldn't play. I found that I could use Windows Media Player. The songs played and most of the songs took up less memory than they should have. I would recomend this MP3 player to anyone who wants something small and easy.
