Rating: Summary: DONT BUY THIS Review: This mp3 player is a piece of s**T. buy anything but!!! Mine went on the fritz after less than a week. I dont know whats wrong, but I download stuff to it, and it won't play it. take my advice- get another one.
Rating: Summary: Not a very well made product. Review: This MP3 player started to die only two weeks out of the box. It would shut down for no reason. Finally, it just didn't work anymore.
Rating: Summary: Worked for 3 weeks and then.... Review: This player worked for about three weeks before it gave out! I was fortunate enough to be able to return it to the store I purchased it at without a hassle but would definately NOT recommend this player to anyone.
Rating: Summary: Great First Player Review: This was my first MP3 player. I went inexpensive (Wal-Mart $68) because I had no idea if I'd like it. Like others, the first thing I noticed was the battery door. It's so flimsy, I'm worried it won't last long. Other than that, I have no real complaints. The player is amazingly small; it's great for your pocket or just to hold in your hand. The headphones are somewhat awkward, I ended up picking up a set of ear-buds, but I would probably have gotten used to the ones included. The display is rather large and scrolls the song title and composer. It was easy to load music onto the player. I just 'drag-and-dropped' all my WMA (CD) files onto the player from my computer using Windows. I had to use Windows Media Player to load the MP3s, but that was easy enough. I would not bother installing any of the software (on XP, at least, which recongized the player as a storage drive). I stopped trying to figure out MusicMatch after an hour. The 64 MB isn't going to hold a ton of songs. If that's what you're looking for, I would suggest paying the extra $20 or so and get the 128 MB player. Of course, you can buy a SmartDisc and upgrade this drive; I already have.
Rating: Summary: Good for what u Pay Review: Very nice MP3.
Easy to Use can ft about 35 Wav Files
Rating: Summary: Compact, inexpensive, and quite handy! Review: Well I bought this player a week ago at Walmart for 50 bucks. I guess you could see why I bought it... because it was dirt cheap! And because well.. I needed an MP3 player. Now let me go over with you the ONE case in which you should buy this MP3 player:
I have an SD 256 MB card. For those of you who aren't computer saavy, that's an expandable memory chip. Without it, this player would only hold 15-20 songs tops. With my SD card added, mine can hold up to 50-70 songs, depending on WMP or MP3 Format. WMPs are about 3 MB and MP3s are about 5-6 MB, so you can see why file conversion is nessecary. In short, if you're going to use this, get a memory card.
Anyway, the MP3 player itself is very nice. It's very well designed, small, cute, compact, and lightweight. Interface is pretty user-friendly and the LCD display is easy to see and very convenient. I always like to know what song I'm listening to, who sings it, and how much battery life I have left. The cons on the player are the fact that it might be just a tad cheap. Dont manhandle it or throw it, because it will become disfuntional. Another minus is the battery door. It is VERY flimsy and be sure to be EXTRA careful when handling it, because it's barely strong enough to keep the battery crammed in there. And while we're on the subject, the battery life leaves much to be desired. I used it off and on and a week and the battery ran out. I suggest that you use a regargable battery, so that you wont have to keep on buying new ones. (It also depends on how loud your music is playing, that might eat up battery life to) Headphones I love, they came with it, they clip on your ears, and the sound great. The carrying case is nice too.
All in all though, it's one handy little gadget, and hell, it only costs 50 bucks. Let's see... you could buy six of them for the price of a iPod. Go out and buy a couple!
PS- Also on one last note, when/if you do buy this product, I'd advise you to NOT install the software. It's useless, really, all you need is the USB cord and the explore feature in windows.
Rating: Summary: A few minor details Review: Well, it's a great lil machine. It's compact and fits right into my back pocket. I just have to remember not to sit on it. There are a couple downfalls to it though. One is that it doesn't have a backlight on it. That would come in handy in so many ways. And the other one is that it battery doesn't last long at all. Sucks up the juice waayyyy too fast. Or maybe it's just me because I use mine a daily basis, but still. But other than that it's a great little tool. I like it!
Rating: Summary: Really good! Review: Well, the first reviewer doesn't know the difference from a tag and a file name... d'oh! Just drag the files from an iTunes playlist and they will get copied to the device in the "proper" order. Using the Finder will alpha sort if you don't include track numbers in the file name. I use a rename script in iTunes to add the track numbers to the mp3 file names so they stay in album order in my dvd/mps player. The files name ALWAYS get truncated - iTunes just adds a text file to map the long names on the player. If this mounted in iTunes - I'd give it five stars. I also use audion for mp3Pro. Solid product - I added a 256MB SD card and Sony h.ear clip phones....
