Summary: Serious flaws -the product has been discontinued!
Review: As many other runners did, I jumped at the chance to buy an MP3 player for running. I returned it after a few days:

1. The memory does NOT hold 60 minutes of music. At the lowest quality, I could only fit about 35 minutes on the memory.

2. There is no armband. Why would Nike not include an armband when marketing the product to athletes? It comes with the 120, and you CANNOT buy it seperately. They are out of stock and not producing more.

3. The remote buttons are small, and the casing is too big.

At least it's lightweight and sounds good. I returned my player and am waiting for Sony to get moving and produce some new walkman products (how many of us have the bulky armband radio that's been out for years?)

Summary: horrible customer service - marginal product -
Review: First one broke in a week, but Circuit City replaced it (it just took 3 weeks for the order to come). The second one functions fine.

Agree that the armband the 120 has sure would be nice.

BIGGEST COMPLAINT. I bought the unit because of the price -- ..., less a ... manufacturer's rebate from RIO. BIG MISTAKE. I bought it in early December '01 -- I'm still waiting for the check. Literally, the customer service people tell me the check's been cut and will be mailed shortly or has been mailed. It just never seems to arrive.

Summary: Liked it so much, my family has four!
Review: I bough two of these last winter dirt cheap for my brother and me. We both got them working with no problems, though I did have to update the firmware when I added a MMC card. My brother lost his, and bought another, and I've bought another RioSport so my husband can have the now discontinued PSAPlay 60.

Granted, the software is quirky, and the MMC card can slide out of place so that it's not recognized. The battery does drain and must be changed frequently. The clip mechanism is kind of flimsy.

However, this is a vast improvement from the last dirt-cheap MP3 player I bought (and could never get to work as promised), and it gets hard, hard use every day. I love it!

Summary: Worst Product EVER!
Review: I bought this thing awhile back because it was small, light, relatively inexpensive (at the time), and was moisture resistant, making for a potentially excellent workout MP3 player. I was BADLY mistaken; this product is inherently flawed. Rio repaired or replaced it no fewer than six times over a one year period; I have also personally repaired the player three additional times in the four months following. The headphones are total garbage; they broke the first time I wore them. Rio replaced them no fewer than SEVEN times. When turned off, the battery continues to be drained for some reason. Once you install a battery don't expect any more than ~24 hours of life out of it, tops, even if you don't actually turn on the player. The case is made of flimsy-feeling plastic. If you want to see track/playback info, you'll need the (clumsy) included remote control as the main unit has no LCD screen, and the remote is not lighted and has the world's smallest buttons. The player reportedly can use a CF card for memory expansion but (a) it won't use a larger-than-64MB card, and (b) card support is REALLY spotty. I've tried at least a half dozen cards and haven't found a single card that works consistently in the unit. I will never buy another Rio product again, EVER. The ONLY saving grace that this MP3 player has: When thrown against the surface of a pond, its rounded shape gave me 12 skips across the surface. My best throw yet.

Summary: Easy To Use
Review: I found this MP3 Player to be extremely easy to use and configure. The case is scratch resistant and I liked the fact that you could remove the diplay and plug in directly to the player thus saving battery life.

Summary: memory lapses
Review: i got this because i was looking for a decent player to work out with. because it only has 32 mb built in, i bought a 64 mb mmc. the player worked great until i put the memory card in. then when i tried to work it in both my computer and my parents, i was told there was no memory at all...when i brought it back to where i purchased it, they gave me a new one, and i tried a different brand of memory card-maybe that was the problem. nope, once i formatted it, i was told once again there was no memory. and when i tried to contact the company, i kept getting forwarded to different people, and just decided to scrap the whole thing, so i returned it all. it was a lot more hassle than i wanted.

Summary: don't waste your money and time
Review: I have never written a review before but this product is so bad that I felt obligated to save others. I had to return the first one as it was defective and now the second one is so quirky that I can only use it less than half the time. It drains batteries in about an hour, the handheld does not transfer songs without crashing the audio manager at least 90% of the time. If you have hours to waste with the phone support then this is a product for you.

Summary: Nike psa[play 120
Review: I have the model 120, but somewhat similar. As others have noted, you cannot get the number of minutes as claimed. However, it holds an adequate amount of music for the average workout. The sound quality is as good as you can ask for considering you are using walkman type headphones. The only complaint I have is that the customer service is HORRIBLE. As a matter of fact, there is no customer service/tech support. (I'm not kidding...)

Summary: Told by Customer Service to "Take it Back"
Review: I was extremely excited when I saw an MP3 player made for the runner. I bought the item and anxiously downloaded some music to load. However, when I plugged the player into the computer it would not recognize the hardware. I tried everything as suggested in the owner's manual. Finally I called customer service and was on the phone and computer with them for at least 30 minutes for two nights in a row trying to make the thing work. I downloaded numerous software upgrades...all to no avail.

I was finally told by the frustrated customer service rep. to take the player back and exchange it for another model. The service rep. blamed the problem on my machine running Windows Me.

Needless to say....I cannot recommend this product.
