Rating: Summary: Good Sound, Horrible Manual Review: After sitting at my computer for almost 4 hours figuring out all of the little extra steps you need to complete to get this thing to work, I was almost ready to give up and take it back. Finally I went online and downloaded a file just to see if it worked at all. It did. So I went back over the process again. I finally figured out the last of many crucial steps. So after you get your parallel port in ECP mode, after you make sure you're recording on your RealJukebox in MP3 mode, after you turn off the security block, you FINALLY get to hear some music. So little is covered in this manual, it serves as little more than shock insulation for the Yepp. I'm not a tech head, but I'm literate enough to have figured the details out on my own. If you're not savvy, or don't know someone who is.. Avoid this thing until you get help. But like I said, I'm happy with the sound and the ability to make custom listening in a tiny package.. If they fix the manual, this'll be a real winner.
Rating: Summary: Great MP3 Player Review: Attention all Windows 95 users this is the MP3 Player you want. After a painful process of trying Diamond Rio and Odyssey (This is a real piece of crap!) I found Yepp. I could not get any MP3s to download to either the Odyssey or Diamond Rio running Windows 95. Yepp was simple and easy to install. My CD Player is frankly obsolete as I now use Yepp while running. Great sound (CD quality), extremely light, and no skipping since there are no moving parts. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is the 32MB. This amounts to about 30-35 minutes of music. Acceptable, but 64MB would be more desirable.

Rating: Summary: Best for the money! Review: I bought a digital recorder and did not like its voice quality . So while looking for the digital recorder, I came across Yepp's voice recording capability and ended up buying it.I'm very pleased with the product. It is small, lightweight and pleasent looking. In my openion, Manual is not very well written. The Jukebox software was not functioning well on my system. Yepp software which manages download and upload from the Yepp is simple once you know it(again, Samsung can add more text about how to do each operation which will greatly help users).
Rating: Summary: Perfect for your lectures at school Review: I bought my Yepp-32 just for my class. I recorded all my lectures and stored in my hard drive. I don't need to worry about buying tape at all. I can also make my class into diffrent chapters. I helped me so much on quoting what my professor has said. I think I have found my answer to improve my grades. If you visit the yepp website, the USB cable has just released. It can transfer your file at 1.3M/second, downloading a 5 minutes 128kbs song only take few seconds. IF, this player has a plug-in mic function, it would be perfect!
Rating: Summary: AWESOME...but there were problems with my unit... Review: I bought the 64MB version of the Samsung Yepp. Why did I choose Samsung over the others? Well, I crossed the RIO 500 off my list early on because it lacks the voice recording capabilities of virtually every other mp3 player in the market. Sure, not essential, and USB connectivity might be more useful than a voice recorder, but hey, the Yepp is supposed to have a USB cable in the pipeline. So why the Yepp and not the Nomad or RaveMP? Well, the Nomad has a FM tuner, but it's not upgradeable - important since 32MBFlash cards are probably going to be dirt cheap in a year or two. And the RaveMP has an ugly design in my humble opinion. So what did I think of the YEPP when I got it? It's a great wee player. Loud enough for even the soft music I listen to, VERY compact unit with a good belt clip (Which the RIO and the Nomad lack). Battery life was less than expected, it's more like 6-8 hours. Button interface is very logical and easy to use, I like the erase on the fly button, allowing you to free up memory for voice recording while "on the road". Sound quality was excellent, and as expected. However, the headphones really suck, hardly a revelation. If I liked the player so much, why did I just give it 4 stars? Well, my player SKIPPED like crazy - sometimes several times during a track. I'm quite sure it is a flash memory problem because it skips in the same places each time you play it, and in the same way. I've just sent my unit back for replacement, and hope the flash memory problem is not a common one. I've looked around for reviews from people with the same problem without much luck, so I felt compelled to warn everyone to check that their unit doesn't skip - Samsung emailed me to say that the problem I described pointed to a defective unit. In the end, I can't be too harsh, because I quickly fell in love with my YEPP, and would highly recommend it above others on the market. The Rio is good if out of the box USB is vital to you, but you should seriously consider the YEPP for it's additional features over the Rio. Just be careful with flash memory problems.
Rating: Summary: mp3 fan Review: I bought the Yepp about a month ago, and it has been a great buy. The sound is pretty good, not perfect, but pretty good. 32mb goes fast, and you can only put about 8-9 songs on it depending on compression rate. It would be nice if Real Jukebox supported the Yepp, it doesn't at the moment, but they claim they are working on a pugin. The power consumption is great, a few features that would be better is more memory, a backlit display and better navigation buttons. The EQs really don't make that big of a difference but it still sounds pretty good. The earphones are really bad, but I already had a pair of Sony earbuds and the Yepp sounds 100% better with them. This product is awesome for the price, and I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't want to spend to much on a portable MP3 player.
Rating: Summary: "SOUNDS BETTER THAN A STRATOCASTER!!!!!" Review: I got it out the box and it was tiny, its smaller than a packet of fags!If your a metal head like me you'll like the loudness of it,if your tight with money don't worry its worth every penny, and the batteries last ages.Even when you record in 96k it still sounds as good as a CD.....32mb was enough for me and it only takes about 5 minutes to get all ya songs on it.....a great deal.....go and get it!!!!
Rating: Summary: Not great, but pretty good Review: I got this MP3 player a few months ago, and I think it is really good. It works really well, the sound is good enough that you can hear even when it is noisy around you, and when it comes down to it, it is pretty easy to use. The problems are that you can't store a whole heck of a lot on it (I have to figure out a way to compress the music... that might help) and the instructions aren't all that easy to follow. Once you figure it out though, it's a piece of cake. My friends love the MP3 player, and they all want one now. Also beware, it eats up batteries like most electronic things. If you want a player just to listen to music when you are out, and you don't mind not having a million songs to listen to, this is the MP3 player for you.
