Summary: Excellent For The Money
Review: I purchased this item over the Rio 600 Model. I ordered before the set date, so I will get a free 32MB SmartMedia Card for it. I should start by saying that if you are the type who can throw down cash like it's going outta style on things like this, skip over the rest of the review. This review is for the careful buyer, who likes to save some dough.Pros- Good quality sound

Remote and Headphones Lines Get Tangled Often I should add this unit is very cheap, and is well worth every cent. If you want a good MP3 player with out dropping mad cash, go for it. I highly recommend a Smart Media Card of 64MB unless you want to change songs frequenly. I would give it 5 stars, but it has some weaknesses.

Summary: A pleasant surprise
Review: As a person that has become very frusturated with the overall product quality of the various mp3 players available, I was pleasantly suprised by this little device. I bought a RIO 600 a few months ago and it was so shockingly bad I returned it, I won't go into the details, but it was just horrible. I've also gone through an early CD based MP3 player which was even worse then the RIO. The samsung player performs exactly as it should. Add on a 64 MB SmartMedia (which I was fortunate to have for my Digital Camera) and you have a 96 Meg player at a great price.
It comes with real jukebox, which I don't like that much but you can go to the samsung site and download an explorer style program for managing your songs. I had no trouble getting the unit running under Windows XP. This is a basic player featurewise but it has everything I need and its just great value. The sound quality is excellent, even through the supplied headphones, the carrying case (belt clip) is useless though. Other then that, its just perfect.. You won't be dissapointed if you get one!

Review: well ive had my yepp for about 2 years now, its been dropped many times and the paint has worn off in many places. but there are no cracks on the case and the sound quality is just as good as the day i got it. i do suggest getting a new pair of headphones. And you should also use the yepp explorer instead of the realjutebox. overall a good product for the prrice i got it for.

Review: Pros: price, reasonable sound quality, extensibility
Cons: construction, <=64MB SmartMedia only, slow file transfer, practically useless belt clip I wanted an mp3 player for the gym that wouldn't break my wallet, and I guess I got what I paid for. It's no iPod, but it gives you good music and is light enough for exercising. A 64MB SmartMedia is recommended and holds an extra hour of mp3 (128Kbps). The bundled RealJukebox is very confusing and plain ugly. It suggests you to upgrade to RealOne which doesn't even support the device anymore! I downloaded Yepp Explorer from Samsung's website and never look back. Yepp Explorer is the way to go. You need to have your own mp3 source or ripping software, though. It only supports SmartMedia up to 64MB, which I learned only after I bought a 128MB media and now have to return it. File transfer through Yepp Explorer is a bit slow, <250KByte/s for me. While my Viking 6-in-1 flash reader can do ~1MByte/s, the player seems to have problem with mp3 files uploaded this way. The files still play but there'd be noticeable clipping and pauses. The original mp3s play fine on the computer. I even did a binary file comparison and the copy is perfect. I have no idea which one is at fault: the player, the reader, or the media (non-brand from Fry's). The remote can be cool, cumbersome, or both depending on personal preference. LCD should really be on the main unit (or both) for operation w/o remote. Included belt clip is difficult to put on, does not protect the player, and blocks the access to media slot. Battery compartment door is hard to close and does not seem to last, which may be why an extra one is included. Well, if these really bother you, perhaps you should go for a Nike or Creative MuVo player.

Summary: Great player for the price
Review: Looked all over the net for a simple mp3 player that would allow me to take some music or audio book recordings on my 40 minute walk/bart commute and this was perfect. The 32MB limits the quality of files that I listen to, but I got the player while the coupon for an extra 32MB SmartCard was still in effect, so it'll be perfect for my needs (i.e. don't need to fit my entire CD collection on my player). I'd echo some of the concerns I've read on other reviews (battery door likely to break after some use, remote somewhat clunky, belt clip poorly designed and virtuously useless, the silver doesn't look as shiny and metalic as in the pictures, it's just plastic, cannnot transfer files from player to pc) Overall, though, I'm pretty happy with what I got (lightweight player, fast USB connection, cheap price, and free memory card). I've plugged this into computers running on Win 98 and Win ME. Both worked flawlessy. Can't vouch for other platforms. If you already having ripping and converting software, I highly recommend bybassing the included software and download Yepp Explorer from the Samsung Web site.

Review: Ok...first of all this comes with real audio...real jukebox...with no support for Windows Media Player...Now you'd figure that Real Audio would make the thing work with Real One...Yepp? NO... Heres the thing just download the mp3 software that communicates directly with the Yepp player from Samsung ...which is better anyway...Yepp? Yep..
Other downers...the unit does not time out...so if you leave the battery on it will be very dead!! Yepp? YEPP!! Also if you have it in you pocket and lean against something...dead battery..and dead yepp..
It needs a smartmedia card...otherwise it's total useless...but it only takes 64mb...so unless you are listening to the "best of asia"...this going to be frustrating..not enough songs!! Yepp!!
So if you are looking for something cheap...then this is ok...but it burns batteries like crazy...so keep extra batteries with you!!! YEPP!!

Summary: The Perfect Gift
Review: I purchased this MP3 player for my friends birthday, and he really loved it. It was such a good deal, only 45$ and the perfect example of new music technolagy. He carries it everywhere, in his smallest pocket, and is able to listen to over 100 hours of any songs on the web. Now thats a real deal. Listening to the best artists in the world from a 2-ounce device. Yepp has perfected music.

Review: I bought this about 4 months ago and have used it 5 days a week while I work out. I like the simple design, light weight and small size. I keep it in the pocket of my gym shorts and the buttons are easy to use without looking at the unit. The sound is very good (I listen to rock, jazz and some techno). The lock feature is nice to keep from accidently pressing buttons or accidently turning the player on/off. If you buy this I would definately recommend purchasing: 1. An additional 64mb card.
2. Different headphones (I got the AIWA HP-J30 and they are great)
3. Rechargable AAA batteries and charger. Without any of these accessories this player would probably annoy me. I don't use the belt clip or remote control thing so if they have problems I wouldn't know. The only negative thing I would say about this player is that the mp3 transfer software uses REAL JUKEBOX. REAL has a poor reputation for using spyware and improper use of customer data, so I would prefer to keep their software off my system, but it's not a huge issue.
