Summary: I love it! Here's the facts:
Review: I got this for my birthday a few days ago. I think it is great. The quality isn't really as bad as people make it out to be. I went to an auction website and e-mailed a seller for a sample of the video before buying it from a store. The menus are really cool and the flash is great. You never need to worry about using up the battery by using the flash because it is rechargable. MP3 playback has great sound but no file info or shuffle mode. The video quality works a lot better in sunny areas. At night in a house with lights on doesn't work too well, which is one of the only problems. I also had an issue with transferring video onto the device from my computer but that is only because you can only send "pure" .avi,.asf,.wmv onto it (but it's not made for transferring video). The video file sizes are very small and great for sending to people. Many people are mentioning the frame rate, well, because the files are .asf there is NOT a constant frame rate! (DUH!) It ranges from about 10-40fps. RealJukebox is not a problem for transferring MP3s. Most people already have RealJukebox on their computers anyway (but you need to install the special Panasonic version). You can choose to change the kbps of the MP3s or change them to AAC as you transfer them so you can fit more onto it. This is not a normal video camera so do not buy it if you are looking for something to shoot something like a TV show. I am 15 and it works well for me.

Summary: its everything I wanted
Review: I just brought this digtal camcorder/camera. It every thing I wanted in a camera. This was the first time I have purchaces a camcorder like this one. I wanted to the movie mode and also take still pictures. Other models with the same features cost a whole lot more so for the money It was a great purchase for me. I'm happy:)

Summary: Buyer beware
Review: If you purchase this product, I hope you are completely satisfied. It is my opinion that the reliability of Panasonic products has slipped in recent years, and this was confirmed to me when a product I purchased quickly failed. The reason I'm posting this is to warn you that the warranty that accompanies Panasonic products only has value if the company chooses to stand behind it. In my case, they weaseled out of it, leaving me with a total loss and no further recourse. Good luck with your decision.

Summary: Useful to share stuff over the web
Review: It is a bundle of many at/above average gadgets into one.

1. MP3 player needs Real Jukebox (which doesn't allow copying MP3 files 128 kbps or above)
2. MPEG4 recorder has a low frame-rate (although the voice is fine)
3. Need Real Jukebox to transfer what was recorded by Voice recorder
4. Resolution of digital photos are 840x680 (not even 1 Mpixel)

All in all, useful to share stuff over the web.. esp. to people with low-bandwidth access.

Summary: What a great piece of equipment!
Review: Its a Jack of All Trades, Master of None. There's nothing it does great, however its broad functionality makes it a perfect companion-piece for travel.

Furthermore, the video quality is not spectacular, however if you wish to document a class, speech, or event, simply to remember it (without needing to carry huge amounts of equipment or a need for good quality), then this is just the thing. Yes, I admit the quality is shakey for video and pictures, however its size makes it perfect for documenting events where its something for your record, rather than something for printing out.

I look forward to the FUTURE versions of this, as technology improves. In the interum, I'm VERY happy to have this product.

Summary: Good idea, poor usability
Review: Main "spy" feature missing -- one-touch activation. You push "On" button, wait for 5 second for Windowz to load, then push another button to select function (someone guessed that it's good to save last function, many thanks!), then push record button.

On the other hand, if you keep it turned on, with function selected, LCD display does not turn off after some reasonable timeout (though it does during audio playback !), so the battery dischanges quite quickly in this mode.

I think they should make firmware update if they want higher ratings. If I had more time I'd try to fix those usability bugs myself.

Overall, it's a funny thing, I'm satisfied, though, I cannot say it exceeds expectations.

Summary: Cool Product - And Great Investment
Review: OK - so I normally dont post reviews on products, but I did a ton of research to find the perfect product and investment for me and ended up very happy with the SV-AV10 and SD cards. I originally was looking to upgrade my Memory Stick card for my Sony digital cameras when I found out I couldnt go to a higher memory with the camera I owned cause the new cards wont work with it. So-knowing I was limited there, I looked around at a bunch of options. When I found the SV-AV10 and tested it out I knew this was for me. The prodcut is affordable, does a million things from music, to video to pictures, fits right in my pocket and this year SD will have a 1GB card that I can just plug in. All in all a cool new device and a great investment. Highly recommended.

Summary: Not professional, but not that bad either
Review: Ok, it may not take pictures/movies like professional digital cameras can, but it's still a good camera if you looking for something to do for fun. It's small enough to carry in your pocket, you can operate it on the fly when you need to, so its pretty reliable there. You have to mess around with the software a bit, and experiment with the camera a bit too but once you get the gist of how it works, you wont regret buying it. However, this camera is NOT worth paying full price for($200-$400). I bought a used one at Circuit City for only $125, I've had it for about a year and it still works great!

Summary: Buy it for fun and convenience
Review: Ok, its cute, so cute everybody ohhs and ahhs over it and just about everybody wants one. Its easy to use and the instant fun of looking back on what you just shot (still or movie) makes it even more of a hit. So far no storage problems. The 64meg card it comes with is plenty to stack up some good inital images/sounds, etc. before you have to buy another card (and you will want to buy another). But try to shift the images onto your computer and ...well lets just say thats not the same level of fun or convenience as taking the pics in the first place. ("Realjukebox is no longer supported..." Bloody hell!) Also true that the video can be a bit jerky (not enough fps - or some such technical blurb). That worried me so I ordered it - cancelled and ordered it again! Because fact is, despite any shortcomings its a really fun object and so light that for sure it will travel with us and we will, at last, have a camera we can be bothered to take out when we are abroad. That means we'll get more use out of it than a 'better resolution' camera that'd only ever stay in the box/at home. It is so cute - I think we are gonna have to give it a name!
