Review: This is an awesome telescope. It has an awesome optical system and you can really view terrestrial and extra-terrestrial objects. I'd advise anyone that is looking for a tellescope to buy this!

Summary: Amazing for Amateurs
Review: When I was very young, I loved astronomy and devoured any and all books on the subject. I remember the thrill of having a telescope given to me on my birthday-even though it was very basic and affordable. When I saw this one (my friend had one), I was amazed by the optics and what you can see through it. It was like being a kid all over again. I didn't realize you could get such a good-quality telescope for the price. The electronic controller lets you go right to whatever you want to see. I did buy the tripod too for stability.It also works very well as a terrestrial spotting scope--I could focus as close as photos on the far wall of my house. I had forgotten most of my astronomy years ago, but now I am relearning. To be honest, I didn't research the telescope market before I bought this unit, but I have been immensely happy with it so far.
