Summary: Very Good Subwoofer
Review: (...) This sub is very good. It does an exceptional job handling the ultra-low end, which is what I have it doing (100Hz and lower). This sub is similar to the Audio Source 200 Watt 15" subwoofer but heavier by a bit, a little larger and quite a bit louder. The digital amplifier certaintly does keep a flat frequency response. This sub is definately great for everyday bass used quitely and very good for loud parties (which is partly why I bought it). (...)

Summary: A great Sub!
Review: I have two of these, and would not recomend buying more than one. If you want more bass than this one can put out I sugest you go with a bigger sub.

Summary: So Far So Good
Review: I just bought this week. I debated with myself for over two years regarding the need for a sub. I currently use 6 JBL 4312's and a couple of LX-55's in my system. I didn't think I could get much better than that. Boy was I wrong. This sub added so much warmth to the music. I have not tried it with any movies yet, but the music so much better. It also reduced the power demands on my power amps for the other speakers since they don't have to attempt to reproduce the low frequencies. Setup of this sub is extremely easy. Had it up an running in about 20 minutes. The hardest part was getting itin the house up the stairs after UPS dropped it off. It is heavy and much bigger than I thought it would be. (81 Pounds Shipping according to UPS)

If you don't have a large room, I would reccommend the smaller 12" or 10 " sub. This thing is a monster, but the sound is incredible, so far.

I plan to put it through the paces over Thanksgiving.

Summary: impressive
Review: i purchased this unit with hopes of experiencing the true essence of low frequency response.this item delivers it's expected purpose. i bought a 10-inch model three years ago. i was so impressed by this model,i use it with my home theater system . the 10inch model can produce low frequencies more accurately than most 12-15 models of other brands out there.this lead to my curiosity about a larger jbl sub unit .i've owned and used this unit for a year , it never dissapointed me.i hope your neighbors are nice people ,you'll be gettin lots of visits and calls from them, trust me. my only problem with this unit is it's size , it's huge and kind of awkward. placement of this unit is a very easy task, it fills the room with exceptional low end virtually anywhere you place it . without getting all technical,i hope this information is helpful.

Review: If you have a subwoofer jack on the back of your receiver or you are just looking to amp up your speakers then this is the subwoofer that you want! This sub will add so much bass you will hope that your windows are intured with 350 watts and a 15 inch woofer they will hear[and feel you] you around the block!

Summary: For Home Theatre Lovers Only
Review: This behemoth (weighs around 80 Lbs.) will certainly provide more than enough bass for most home theatre systems, all the way down to 20 hertz...bass you can not only hear but FEEL..the video contour button and front volume control are a nice touch.

However, this is not the most musical of subwoofers as it takes sophisticated electronics (servo control) to keep a 15 inch driver from distorting and enable it to provide quick, tight, punchy bass

If you will be using it for mostly music, I would recommend a smaller 10" sub that can provide a better reproduction of that all important mid and highs.

But if home theatre is your game and you have a large room to fill (20'x15'), this sub is a great place to start.

Summary: Great Product But Usually Overpriced.
Review: This subwoofer provides great home theater bass performance. It does, however, tend to get a bit sloppy on some types of music. I would recommend this product to anyone who loves low, extended bass response though...but wait for it to go on sale.

Summary: Buyer Beware
Review: This subwoofer sounds pretty good, and it certainly doesn't lack any punch, but...two things to consider before buying this subwoofer. One, it is HUGE- there will be no hiding this thing. Two, I had mine less than 3 months before it broke. it is still under warranty, but this thing is no picnic to load into the car and drive 50 miles to get fixed. I suggest before you buy, check JBL's website to see how close the closest service location is and clear out a BIG open space near your receiver.
