Summary: Excellent Binoculars for astronomy.
Review: I recently got into astronomy in a big way - went out and bought not one - but two Meade computer controlled telescopes with the latest and greatest eyepieces, etc. After doing some research and through trial and error, I have come to the conclusion that the best way to start out in astronomy is to buy a pair of 10x50 binoculars - the Meade Mirage 10x50's are an excellent choice - and "learn the sky" with the binoculars before moving on to a telescope. These binoculars are so good they may be all the telescope you ever need.
