Summary: Better than expected
Review: Even after reading the reviews on this product I didn't expect this Binoculars to be so spectacular. It really gets you near the action (whatever action means to you). 24X zoom works really great and with a good place to hold your arms you will not have any trouble with the shaking (24X zoom means if you move a little bit your hands the image moves many little bits). You should try to see fullmoon through this glasses and you will see what i'm talking about. You will get really good landscapes observing wild life if you're patient enough too.

Summary: A lot of bang for the buck, a solid buy.
Review: Great Buy, a lot of value for the price, and not too many faults.Advantages of this model: 1. Very light to carry around. It comes with the a strap so you can put this around your neck, (not recommended see below disadvantages), or as I like to carry it in its comfortable nylon case. The case fits nicely around your shoulder, and because it is so light you will not be too bothered. 2. Nicely engineered. You can zoom in and out by sliding a lever near the right eyepiece. This is very convienient as you do not have to stop looking through it to find the zoom lever. The focus dial is also convieniently positioned, again so so you do not have to stop what you are looking at to find the dial. Sounds like something all binoculars should have, but sadly not all have this convienience. 3. Comfortable eyepiece suitable for young and old alike. Very comfortable to view through, no discomfort around the eyes. Also this was comfortable for my children to use as well. No "racoon eyes" from prolonged use. 4. Zoom, very very good zoom on this model. If you don't know what 24x50 zoom means, I can make out lisence plates on cars going across the Coronado Bridge, about 3000 feet from my apartment. Hard to top that. Disadvantages: There are not many, in fact just one complaint from me. The neck strap is too darn small. It fits around my neck like a choker, (neck size is 17). Not comfortable carrying it around like that. Have the impression that this may be a wrist strap that they named a neck strap.

Summary: Great for birding at Nisqually Refuge
Review: I just recieved the binoculars and they are excelent. Only problem I had was holding the things still when in the 50 power. Just a little too shakey to be steady. Will purchase the tripod for better viewing. I use the bag for my bird and plant books and put it over my shoulder.

Summary: Low cost, high quality binoculars!
Review: I ordered this binocular for my trip to Niagara Falls and they were very durable. The image clarity is truly exceptional. They were even exposed to a lot of moisture from the falls but no trace of any moisture inside the lens (really rugged construction). Earlier I searched a lot for a good binocular but couldn't find a better deal anywhere for this price! They come in a very nice carry case with a decent neck strap and a lens cloth. They weigh only 31.0 ounces. Since their objective lens diameter is 50mm they are able to gather more light for much better viewing. At 24x magnification, I think less than 50mm(aperture) will be undesirable and greater than this will make the binocular more bulky. Meade makes one of the best binoculars in their class!

Review: I purchased the binoculars to use for nature watching during my walks at a local preserve. I've used them extensively and am quite pleased. The views provided have been very sharp and contrasty especially at 8x. Objects viewed above 12X are difficult to see due to the high magnification exagerating any hand movements. If I need to use high power I usualy sit on the ground, with my legs pulled up, and put my elbows on my knees for support which reduces the shake. The only negative that I can think of is the very narrow neck strap provided. It is not comforatble to use while walking with the binoculars hanging from your neck. For the money it is a wonderful buy and a great value. I highly reccomend.

I can't say enough on how pleased I was with the clarity, and ease of use in bringing into focus birds and other wildlife,and studying land and seascapes.Another attribute of this binocular is its relative light weight.
