Rating: Summary: Speedster is pretty good. Review: Im the pitching coach for a super league team and I bought the speedster to trak our pitchers. it works quite well, there are times it does not register the speed but for the most part it works really well. This is a good item especially for the price.
Rating: Summary: They can't drive... 55! Review: My wife and I do a lot of long-distance driving, so finding ways to keep ourselves amused is a high priority. We've played the license plate game numerous times, but the elusive Hawaii and North Dakota plates always ruin our fun. A spirited game of "Punch Buggy" is always a hit (Ha! Get it?), but when the neighbors started questioning all of my wife's bruises, we had to stop. Without an entertaining and stimulating travel game to play, I found myself becoming an increasingly agitated driver. I've become the guy that waves his fist in anger as a car goes speeding by me on the highway. "That maniac must have been going 100 MPH!", I used to say. My wife would always shake her head in disagreement, but I knew I was right. This would often lead to arguments in the car, followed by hours of silence as we stubbornly refused to speak to each other. I had grown tired of trying to convince my wife of my uncanny abilities to estimate the correct traveling speed of a vehicle, so I searched for something that would put an end to her incessant bickering. You can imagine my excitement when I came across the Bushnell Speedster Radar Gun. After testing out its accuracy for a couple of weeks, I was eager to put the Speedster Radar Gun to the real test during our Thanksgiving road trip. As soon as the first person sped past me, I was able to announce -- with tremendous accuracy -- just how fast the car was traveling. When my wife doubted me, I put on my black leather glove, pointed the radar gun at the car in question, and the actual speed flashed up on the large LCD graphics display screen. The dumbfounded look on my wife's face said it all. I've always known that I'm never wrong -- and thanks to the Bushnell Speedster Radar Gun -- now my wife knows, too.
Rating: Summary: Makes good paper weight Review: Product did not operate as advertised. Very difficult to get any speed reading from any direction or distance from pitcher to catcher. Was able to get speeds of passing cars, but worked poorly for baseball pitching.
Rating: Summary: good value and easy to use Review: The Bushnell radar gun is a good value and it's easy to use. My seven year old has no trouble getting a reading on almost every pitch, both at a batting cage and from behind the catcher. It also works well on cars and bicyclists. We have also used it in a moving car and it seems to be very accurate.
Rating: Summary: No Way Review: This gun does not perform as advertised. It works well on automobiles, but is nearly worthless on baseballs. I tried every conceiveable scenerio, including a private batting cage at 60 ft. 6 in., live games from every possible point of view, and long toss on an open field. About 90 percent of the time it displayed no speed readings at all, and when it did display a speed it was off by as much as 40+ mph. Having purchased Bushnell products in the past I expected this product to be consistently usefull. It was not! DO NOT BUY THIS GUN. You will be wasting your time and money!!!!
Rating: Summary: Easily Broken Review: This is my second Bushnell Speedster radar gun. I am having to replace the first one because the cheeply made plastic trigger broke on the inside of the gun. If Bushnell would have taken the time to design a sturdy trigger system, this would be an excellent product. Easy to use, tracks pitch counts for many pitchers. Just very disappointed with the low quality of this unit's construction
Rating: Summary: pretty good Review: this radar gun is pretty good. It is easy to work and use. The only problem with it is that it is very ocward to hold and sometimes it doesnt read speeds right. I used it to rad the speed of hockey pucks and it did pretty well considering that they are small. It works great for cars but it cant read much over 135mph. This is a nice gun but if you want the best gun this is not it.
Rating: Summary: As advertised Review: This radar gun works fine for me. I didn't have the problems others have reported. The trigger does have a sweet spot as reported in another review, but it is a minor problem. The gun has a baseball mode, but I use it for measuring the speed of cars. It works whether the car is coming toward you or away form you. I also tried it from my vehicle and read the speed difference between me and cars passing as well as the combined speed of mine and those approaching. You can easily figure the real speed by additon or subtraction. I was surprised to find it will read my speed just by pointing straight out the windshield. I don't know how, but it does. I guess it reads stationary objects up ahead, although there were no signs or bridges nearby. It claims to read car speed at 1300 ft, so maybe it was locked on a structure far off. The smaller the object, the closer it has to be. I locked onto a 14 mph dog at about 200 feet.

Rating: Summary: Works for hockey too Review: This radar gun works for hockey pucks too. I crouched behind the net and zapped the oncoming slapshots. Just remember to wear protective gear when behind the net, especially a full face helmet. When the shots miss the net, the pucks will bounce off the boards and find you.
