Summary: Excellent
Review: These binoculars are really great. We have a pond behind our house and they work just fine for that application. I haven't had the chance to use them in the field, so I cannot make a recommendation for hunters, bird watchers, etc.
My only regret is only having one pair!

Summary: This is what is meant by the term - User Friendly!
Review: These binoculars are the easiest to use of any I have ever tried. The initial setting directions are simple to follow and then you can instantly change the focus from far to near with finger tip ease. We live on a lake and use them for bird watching. I can focus on a bird at our feeder and then watch it flying all the way to its nest. I just touch the instant focus feature with my finger and do not have to take my eyes off it. I can watch a bird across the lake with the same ease. You do not feel like you need an engineering degree to be able to use these binoculars to their fullest potential. What a concept! Something that is easy to use and does what it's supposed to do at an affordable price!

Summary: Great binoculars for observation
Review: This binoculars are good. They give a great clarity. I first tried the Bushnell binoculars from one of my friends. It was 8x21, small Bushell binoculars. I was astonished by the good quality of the binoculars especially the optics. After this I decided to buy binoculars for my self to use them for terrestrial and night sky observation. During the terrestrial watching they do a great job, but in my opinion the more power is better. It's still cold outside to tell how they do at night. But once or twice I have tried watching at the stars, good clarity but the binoculars are kind of heavy to hold on to. The case for Bushell is great but the strap for the binoculars is garbage. Nonetheless I recommend buying this binoculars but I think the more power is better. Bushell is doing a great job in optics. By just looking at the binoculars one would think that they should be more powerfull because of their size. I should have bought myself a 12x50 or even 16x50 Bushell.

Summary: For inexpensive binox, these are pretty good
Review: This is a higher magnification (10X) than one usually uses in for casual viewing, but for birdwatching, a wide field is very nice to have. I thought there was a bit too much chromatic aberation (rainbows on the edges of objects) and distortion on the edge of the view field, something you expect to see a bit of in budget-priced optics.

The view field is very bright, helpful for scouting birds in dark woods. The sharpness is acceptable. The neckstrap however, is awful. A neckstrap is a necessary part of the binox, so a badly designed one is pretty annoying. The case is a soft vinyl envelope with a velcro closure, which is adequate. Add your own neckstrap and this is a nice birding binoculars, but not perfect. All in all, good cheap binox but only just.

Summary: Excellent
Review: This is my first Binocular. I purchased this item based on other user reviews and Bushnell's brand name, I was not not disappointed. It is an excellent product and worth its money. The image quality is exceptionally clear and easy to focus. The only problem with this product ,is that it is bulkier, weighs close to 4lbs.Overall a good product.

Summary: form earth to the heavens
Review: This one I bought from Amzon.com a year ago for my 7 yr old niece who developed a taste for astronomy. This was a pretty [inexpensive] one and I thought this might be good enough to get her started.
Yaicks! Do u know what I did after the package was delivered. I looked at the moon and even the slightest black spots instantly became unfathomable dark craters. I snached it at once from my niece and kept it from myself ( I bought her one immediately).
If you are interested in birdwatching, ballgames, concerts, hiking or just site seeing - this cetainly is the best thing that money can buy (with the [inexpensive] pricetag on it) - added bonus insa-focus capability - a wonderful invention (Its not just handy, but after using it, u'll say to yourself,"how cloud I ever lived without it?").
If your taste is far from the earth towards the heavens, then you must keep this handy with its wide angle of view and light weight for a quick scanning before setting up your 5,000.00 telescope on mark.
I may sound like a sales agent, but beleive me, I can't say any less about it.
Just buy it! Even if you hate binoculers or have no taste for astronomy.

Summary: Great binocs for the *PRICE*
Review: Took a chance buying the 12x50's at Walmart. Nothing to lose, can always get refund. Worked out surprisingly well. Only fault I could see was stiff center focus compared to most binocs I've used with smooth center wheel. But once your focused in you won't lose it. Some reviewer's stated *junk*. Ones they received must have been out of collimation or defect in lenses or prisms. This happens sometimes with best of binocs. Some fuzziness around edges but object should be centered for best viewing anyway. Right eye diopter works excellent on 0. I've seen my share of bad & good binocs over past 20 yrs. of being involved in optics. They're as sharp centered as my 12x50 Pentax PCF V's. Spend the $43 or be totally happy with Fujinon's, $600 to $1000 pricetag. Even Orion Nebulae comes in sharp. Even a plane mile up engines, windows & tail logo easily spotted, you be the judge. Great all-around binocs.

Summary: Well Designed, Poor Optics
Review: Very convenient to use, nice focusing, rubber eye cups, but you get what you pay for. Binocular users don't usually realize what they're missing until they check out Nikon or Minolta binocs. The images focus into crystal clarity but the price is close to a hundred or more bucks. But it's like a digital camera. It doesn't matter what the features are if the images are crappy.

The lenses in these binocs have rings around the inner perimeter that are always out of focus. The center image is pretty good until you compare it with better binoculars, then there are more colors, a brighter image and, of course, consequently, greater viewing pleasure.

Also, like most lens caps on binoculars, the lens caps on these should be discarded with the plastic wrap and box. They fall off with gravity and you'll soon lose them anyway.

This one's a good model for kids. For yourself, use your tax cut and buy a more expensive model. If you're going to walk 12 miles into the woods, you deserve to have primo optics.

Summary: Great monocular
Review: Was really looking forward to using these binoculars after
reading the other reviews, but they just don't work for me
or anyone else I borrowed them to. Everything appears as
"double vision" and all the adjusting of the width etc just
doesn't help. When I close one eye they work great as a monocular, but for both eyes they cause headaches.
My old $15 dollar binoculars never had this problem. Will
be returning them.

Summary: Great binocs for the price
Review: When you're on a budget, you have to start somewhere. After recently completing restoration on a fire lookout, we needed to outfit it with the basics - binoculars being one of the first major tools we need! These Bushnells are great. They're durable, clear and focusing is easy. Great equipment for the price!
