Summary: Superb Technology!
Review: As a audio-videophile,I have been a fan and purchaser of several Pioneer Elite products.I can say that this tape deck offers the best recording, at any price for the analog format. All Elite products use higher grade components,with high-end looks. This tape deck uses digital processing,using Pioneers Patented Legato-Link Conversion DAC's,to create stunning recordings, that in my opinion are just as goon as mini-disk.!(when using a high grade tape). The features offered on this model are extensive,(see pioneers web site for details),and they work flawlessly.Though this is a high price for a tape deck,the performance and looks of this unit justify its cost.The powered doors are a big plus in a tape deck in this price range!Though I have a CD and mini disk recorder,I still love tapes,and this model will let you record beautiful copies and bring life back into older tapes using Pioneers FLEX system. This uses a computer chip and digital signal processing to eliminate hiss and tape degradation in older tapes.I strongly recommend this tape deck!

Review: Most of the features are easy to use, and the layout of the controls is acceptable.The owner's instructions suffer a bit from either geek-speak or translation problems. Example: "The operation of the ALCA system is variable in two ways; 1) between before and after the AUTO BLE XD system setting, and; 2) between the digital input and analog input." ?
