Rating: Summary: Great product Review: If you have an hdtv with a built in digital tuner this may be all you need to receive crystal clear hdtv signals from local channels. Forget about paying high cable company or satelitte company monthly fees. It's cheap and it works. You can't ask more than that.
Rating: Summary: Low price, simple design, extremely high quality picture! Review: I have Dish Network and cannot receive HD locals from my sat. I needed an antenna to do the trick. So, I first went to www.antennaweb.org to figure out exactly what kind of antenna I would most likely need for my house based on location, etc. I was appx 11 miles away from six stations...and 25 away from another station.
Here are the steps involved in getting this to work...it's so easy, you think I was lying.
1) Open box
2) Assemble the antenna...have your three year old help...piece of cake.
3) Place the antenna on something sturdy, then plug the wire into the back of your TV or HD receiver.
4) Turn the TV on and find your channels.
Seriously, it's that easy. For $21, this is the way to go. The pictures were crystal clear...giving me about a 85% reception. I even have tall trees on my lot. It's an ugly antenna...so my wife put some flowers in front of it on our entertainment unit. You would never know it's there now.
I highly recommend this antenna to anyone...sure beats getting up on the roof.
Rating: Summary: The best that I found so far Review: I should tried this antenna after reading all the positive reviews instead of getting terk tv55 $100 antenna. Just b/c I think outdoor antenna is better and the more expensive antenna it would work better. Zenith looks simple and it worked!!!! I got all the HD channels in my area. I put the antenna on my 2nd floor next to the window. My area has real bad reception, my analog channels, most of time, they are snowing, I used to have to pay the basic cable just to get local channesl. But with the new 53" hdtv and this awsome antenna, I recieved all the HD local channnels crystal clear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Works like a charm Review: I tried other antennas from Radio Shack but this one is the best. I am atleast 20 miles away from all the transmitting stations and I get all of them.
Rating: Summary: great antenna Review: I use this antenna with a Samsung SIR-T451 HDTV tuner. For my address, antennaweb.org said I needed a medium directional antenna to receive just three DTV channals. This antenna is directional, but apparently is much smaller than medium. To my surprise, I can see all local DTV channels, including NBC, which uses a VHF frequency. Because it is so small, when signals are not very strong (as in my house), it is easy to lose/gain channels when moved inches away or rotated or interfered by a person standing next to it. I have to change locations to receive different channels.
Rating: Summary: This thing rocks!!! Review: I haven't used other antenna yet, I haven't used other HD receiver either. All I have done is to connect this antenna with my newly Samsung T451 HD tuner and it works great! I can't comment on others, but I have to say this one is incredible.
I live in Houston area, according to the web information, all the TV stations are over 10 miles away from my location. I hooked up this antenna with my receiver and I even don't have to do any direction adjustment, I got *ALL* digital channels in my area! To my surprise, all major players like NBC, CBS, ABC etc. not only offer regular programming in HD signal, but also each broadcasts two or more programmings in different sub-channels, either in HD or SD signals. So basically, using digital receiver with this antenna one would get more channels than analog TV over the air. The quality of the image is simply amazing, and now I have the chance to watch sports in HD version for this holiday season...
The setup of this antenna is really simple, and it's very light and convenient. It amazed me to deliver such good reception, indoor, without using any amplifier. Compared to other antennas people complained, this little thing just rocks!
Rating: Summary: Very Surprised. Review: I am not exagerating when I say I am 50 miles away from the towers in Cleveland, Oh and this thing picks up all the local digital channels: ABC, CBS,Fox,UPN, but no NBC because their digital broadcast is still on VHF and this is a UHF only antenna. The high def picture is phenomenal! My signal strength is anywhere from 66% to 93%...yes 93%. At this price it is worth a try before getting on the roof.
