Summary: Powerful Punch in a Small Package
Review: Ok first of all, I don't really submit reviews all that often but I know how much I went through to find a good antenna so I will fill you in on my story.First off, I bought Rat Shacks top of the line HDTV Amplified Antenna. I am aware that there is no such thing as an HDTV antenna and any UHF antenna will do but I decided to try theirs anyway. The Radio Shack antenna was OK. I was able to pickup about 5 channels or so with it, so I was mildly satisfied. I decided that I wanted to experiment with a few other models so I could see if there were better products. I returned the Rat Shack antenna and purchased the top of the line Jensen Amplified antenna, since it had a higher dB rating on its amplifier and I thought I would get better reception with it. Wrong again. I picked up 2 channels with the Jensen Antenna. After these two experiences I was really thinking that I would need to get an external antenna, which meant that I would have to have a big ol' ugly thing on top of my house, which isn't going to happen. :) I took back the Jensen antenna and decided to try the non-amplified UHF only Silver Sensor. Once I got it home and plugged it in, it detected 18 channels! This is an amazing antenna and I havent even received my HDTV tuner yet. I get good signal on my standard tuner. I cannot wait to see how well I receive Digital/HDTV once I plug this into my DISH Network 811 (2/8/04.) If you are seriously looking for a good performance indoor antenna, your best bet is the Silver Sensor. This is an amazing antenna. My local channels are broadcast from about 20-30 miles away. On Antennaweb.org the channels I receive were rated in the yellow -> Green section and I would imagine this antenna wouldn't pick up anything outside of that range without an amplifier. You can find a Zenith Amplifier for this antenna online, I have ordered one and I am waiting for it to arrive so I can test it out. So far I am VERY pleased with this antenna. For its low price and ease of installation you simply cannot pass up on it. Buy it locally if you want to verify it works for you. Once you do, you will be amazed with how well this simple antenna picks up the channels OTA for you, at no further cost! Good luck!!!

Review: This antenna works great for both analog & digital UHF channels. There is no such thing as a "digital" or "HDTV" antenna. This is one of the best indoor antennas for channels 14-69 (UHF). It works "so-so" for VHF channels 7-13. For lower VHF channels 2-6, forget it - you'll need regular old "rabbit ears" for these lower VHF channels.

Summary: Great antenna
Review: I've never posted a review before, but I purchased this antenna based on the reviews I read and thought I'd spread the word. This is a great product! I had a roof antenna with a very long cable connecting it to my TV. I live in West Los Angeles and no tall buildings obstruct my antenna. However, I was unable to receive CBS and NBC in HD. The Gemini picked up those stations and many more than my rooftop antenna did. I also had reservations about buying this because I have a 55" TV and wasn't sure if the antenna would be able to provide an adequate signal (I'm not very technical, so I don't know if it matters). Well, the Gemini antenna works great with my big screen. Great price too. I saw it at Best Buy for $40. Can't lose for this price.

Summary: The definative indoor UHF antenna.
Review: First of all, pay no attention to the HDTV in the name of this product. We use it for standard UHF TV. As long as you're trying to receive UHF, antennas don't know the difference. For VHF (channels 2-13), look elsewhere.
We already have a roof antenna we use for most stations, but, for whatever reason, one channel weaves and wobbles a lot. We used to use an amplified indoor antenna when trying to watch this channel, and it helped, but not enough.
Enter the ZHDTV1, also known as "The Silver Sensor." Unlike our previous indoor antenna, it's not amplified. In fact, there's very little to it, but when I first plugged it in and switched to channel 56, the first word out of my mouth really was "Wow."
Mind you, nothing is perfect, and weather frequently causes the signal to wane, but even at it's worst it's far more stable than it was with either of the other antennas.
In short, amplifiers make little difference. What really matters is the antenna, and at least in the frequency range of channel 56, this one is very impressive.

Summary: doesn't pull in the hdtv
Review: I bought this antenna when I bought my Samsung SIR-T151 HDTV Receiver. So far I haven't been able to get good performance from it. In fact I've been able to get better reception using an old FM dipole antenna like you use with a stereo receiver.

Summary: Great Engineering in a Cheap Looking Package
Review: As has been said by others, this almost toy-like antenna is quite a performer. I hooked it up and placed it on a shelf about 54" high and pointed it more or less in the direction of Mt. Wilson (where all the Los Angeles stations broadcast from; I'm about 32 miles from there). Instantly my HDTV recognized nine stations, and found another two when I tried acquiring a second time. The only caveat, is the antenna's location is occasionally blocked by someone walking by. This will cause momentary signal loss. Consequently when you locate the antenna, try to get it high enough or in a non-traffic area so that it won't get blocked.
Note, this antenna was delivered in a box entitled "Zenith Silver Sensor", not Gemini. The antenna is 100% identical to the Gemini, and is known to be sold under a number of trade names.

Review: I was set to buy a $100 Terk-55 antenna to mount outdoors with a 100 foot cable run. This would have involved a lot of work, drilling holes in my house, and a long ugly wire across my back patio. As I was researching the Terk, I came across the reviews for this product. I was somewhat sceptical that a small indoor antenna would receive the signal from 30 miles away, but I figured I would give it a try. It works great! The picture quality for HDTV is fantastic and it took 2 minutes to install. It is very directional as others have said. If you point it a few inches offline you will lose the signal. If your signal is coming from different locations in town, you will probably have to change the direction of the antenna to get different stations. I can not recommend this product highly enough!
