Summary: Know your area before buying
Review: I thought I would get more channels than my old rabbit ears with this RCA power antenna, but it isn't true. I live in a valley, and I only get two more channels than I did previously (and the reception is only average).My advice is to buy from a local retailer like Radio Shack. That way you can easily return the antenna if you don't get good results. I'm going to try a rooftop antenna now.

Review: I was evaluating several indoor antennas for my Son-In-Law's house in Newport Beach, CA and purchased one of the RCA ANT200 for use with a brand-new Phillips TV. It was marginal in terms of bringing in LA stations just 50 miles north of here. I figured that it should have done better as there are few mountains in between. Since I was not satisfied, I returned it and bought a ANT1250. This one costs a bit more but the reception is 200% better! Of course a roof-mounted would be the ultimate but asthetics are very important to him sooooo!

Review: In this era of cable and dish offerings with wired, networked homes, I'm glad someone still thought of the occasional lone TV set, stranded in the far reaches of connectivity. My stock rabbit ear antenna was not getting very stable signals so I blew some gift certificate money on this unit. What I thought would probably be a marketing gimmick -- the "power" dial w/ its ac adapter set-up -- turned out to be legit. This (relatively) attractive unit really works and is subtle enough in its flat black finish to blend in. My three local VHF and four UHF stations come in loud and clear. Money well spent!

Summary: Power Antenna Worse than rabbit ears
Review: Installed the antenna on a Panasonic TV. Most channels worked better (except for Channel 2) for about 1 day however none of then could be adjusted as per the manual - I was happy then all channels got worse and worse and the machine is back in the box and rabbit ears back on top. Maybe the signal strength in my area is too high?? but I tried all options of high/low ears and physical orientations. Don't know if it is a defect in this particular one or just a big waste of time altogether.

Review: It's pretty sad when you have over $5,000 worth of HDTV equipment and I'm depending on a $29 antenna to pick up my local HDTV channels, but it WORKS! I use a satelitte for my reception, but I need an antenna to pick up my local channels in HDTV. I purchased a TERK TV 50 ($129) with all kinds of raves and reviews and it was a complete waist of time. I'm now back to the ANT 200. My only compliants are VHF doesn't come in strong, UHF is OK and it doesn't look that great sitting on top of my 53" TV. However, it pulls in 65-85% on the HDTV signal and that's more than enough to lock in the signal (with HDTV, you either get the signal or you don't, there's no 'in-between' like analog) and that was it's whole purpose. I may stick it up in the attack and then the reception for EVERYTHING should be great!

Review: Just a short note: best antenna I ever saw. My friends are throwing away theirs to buy ant200. This definitely gonna take place of stupid cables. Crystal clear pic, minimum interference and so on. Gooooooood!

Review: Please be aware that this antenna does not work within houses that have stucco walls! My house has stucco walls, therefore I had to return it. I also tried it on a tv in another house w/out stucco walls & it worked quite well.
