Rating: Summary: Easy to install and works great! Review: I am not Ms. Mechanical. I can barely put together those bookcases you get from iKea that have complete illustrated instructions. However, I must admit that this wallmount was very easy to install and use, even for me.The instructions were clear and this went up in a jiffy. My new LCD TV is now installed on a kitchen wall. It swings out to view while I'm cooking, and then swings back flush to the wall, out of the way, when I'm not using the TV. Because this mount also tilts as well as moving side to side, I can tilt the LCD display for varying light conditions so that it is always sharp and clear whether in bright sunlight or shadow. I'm very pleased with this purchase and don't think I would get nearly as much pleasure out of my TV without it.
Rating: Summary: excellent Review: Im very happy with this wall mount - very functional, strong and sleek
Rating: Summary: Great flexibility, tilt mechanism a bit challenged Review: We purchased this mount for a Panasonic TC-20LA2 20" flat panel LCD TV. It installed without a hitch and is clearly very well crafted. As it comes in the package it must be installed in a stud. It has two failry massive screws that are several inches long that would not "bite" wallboard and even plywood blocking.
While it is very flexible with the swing arm, rotation and tilt adjustments we are finding the tilt mechanism a bit challenged by the Panasonic's 16 pound weight -- in spite of the 30 pound rated maximum of the bracket. Even when the tilt screw is tightened with a reasonable amount of force, you can cause the TV to drop further if you bump it lightly. It's not clear why this is occurring -- and its not an issue if you handle the TV carefully as you move it about -- but I would be skeptical that you could keep the tilt on a heavier TV if you used this bracket.
