Summary: Looks great - but that doesn't matter if it the tv falls
Review: I purchased the PTC26 to hold my ten-year old Magnavox 27" curved screen tv. The tv was much too unstable sitting on the tray of the mount to be able to use the mount. Perhaps my tv is shaped or weighted differently than newer tvs - but it is a pretty standard tv.

The problem was that there was no practical way to keep the tv from falling forward. I installed the tray in the tilted (down toward the front) position to accomodate the viewing from a seated position - and while this contributed to the problem, tilting a ceiling mount downward is standard functionality. A strap is supplied with the mount but using it increased the tendancy of the tv to fall forward. It would have been necessary to strap down the rear of the tv - behind its center of gravity instead of in front - but the tv slopes downward to the rear and there is nothing for the strap to grab on to. I was forced to uninstall the mount and return it. I have since purchased a mount that encloses the tv in a bracket instead of simply having it sit on a tray and have successfully mounted the tv to the ceiling.

There was a secondary problem with the mount - the bracket that is welded to the arm and holds the tray was welded on crooked. It would have resulted in the tv being crooked and I probably would have exchanged (not returned) the mount as a result.

On the plus side - if you are still interested - the mount was fairly easy to install. It is also very nice looking and is very nicely finished, uses plastic caps to hide all hardware, etc. Previous to this, I purchased and installed the 13" - 17" wall mount version (PTW13) and it works and looks great - I highly recommend it. For a large tv - I would recommend getting a mount that uses brackets to enclose the tv rather than having it sit on a tray.
