Description:
Sony's KP-61XBR300 61-inch projection TV features 16:9 widescreen capability and Digital Reality Creation technology, which doubles the pixels on each scan line to create an image with four times the density found in most projection TVs. The Hi-Scan display accepts both 1080i and 480i DTV/HDTV signals, with an optional decoder, while vertical compression enables the TV to display HDTV signals accurately. The 3-D digital comb filter and 7-inch MICROFOCUS picture tubes further enhance resolution for the best possible picture with minimum dot-crawl distortion.Two-tuner picture-in-picture capability is improved with multi-image driver circuitry, which allows you to freeze, move, and position any picture-in-picture frame. The BrightView lenticular screen has a scratch-resistant dark tint surface that increases black level for brilliant colors. Component-video inputs support high-resolution digital sources, such as DVD players, and allow you to hook up the Sony KP- 61XBR300 to an HDTV receiver. The TV is prepped with five sets of audio-video jacks, two S-Video inputs, and a composite-video input, enabling you to connect a number of home entertainment source components. The five-speaker system provides cinematic surround sound. The Sony KP-61XBR300 also features Dolby Pro Logic decoding. V-chip parental control lets you monitor what your children watch. Other convenient features include SnapShot screen freeze, a programmable sleep timer, high-speed scanning, and a favorite-channel file. A universal illuminated remote control is included. Sony offers a two-year warranty on the picture tubes, and a one-year warranty on parts and labor.
