Hitachi's new UltraFocus SB lens technology provides a 10 percent increase in brightness as well as a 30 percent increase in sharpness over the previous UX series. Now, with a total of six lenses, Hitachi's UX line has a dramatically improved lens design, a 19 percent increase in lens diameter, new improved red-and-green lens filters, and a new high-contrast lens coating, providing a 35 percent increase in contrast. It also has a built-in UltraShield, Dolby Pro Logic surround sound, and a TV Guide Plus interactive programming service. This projection TV also contains Magic Focus, an automatic system that eliminates the need to manually adjust picture convergence. At the push of a button, the Magnetic-Intelligent-Convergence (MAG) system automatically adjusts the electronic signal to the convergence yoke of the three color guns that produce the picture on your projection TV screen. This unique system automatically adjusts for the unique magnetic conditions in your home, providing the sharpest possible picture. The system even adjusts for man-made magnetic fields, such as unshielded speakers, placed near the projection TV.
