Rating: Summary: Great value, great product Review: I bought this to use during hurricane season and it more than paid for itself. I was able to get tv stations while the power was down and more up to date, detailed weather and damage reports than the radio gives. It's also been wonderful for car trips, camping, etc, when I wanted to "get away from it all" but still be informed as to what was going on in the world. Highly recommend as an emergency backup as well as a fun item.
Rating: Summary: Box is mislabled Review: The product functions OK, but there is a serious misprint on the box. The box says 8 "D" batteries. It uses actually 8 "C" batteries. Thanks to the mislabled box, I am now the proud owner of 8 D batteries I cannot use. I called Coby customer service, but they seemed to have no interest in correcting the problem. I would never buy a Coby product again. Coby should be ashamed of itself.
Rating: Summary: Coby CZ-TV1 vs CX-TV6 Review: TV6 has a built in charger for use with Ni-Cad rechargeable batteries. The TV1 has better egonomics for the tuning and volume control. Both tvs are cable ready to channel 83 and come with an adapter. Both of the tv's I got use 8 D batteries, but instructions indicate some may use C instead. Both tv's pick up a good signal with the built in antenna in Daytona Beach for stations from Orlando (about 70 miles, flat terrain)Both tv's pick up a better signal than a color model I tried- it worked ok on the wall plug, but not on batteries. Both the tv1 and tv6 work well on batteries.
