Summary: Great product, scary warranty pricing
Review: I bought this three weeks ago, primarily to watch DVD's, but also just to experience HDTV from our local Comcast service. Philips does a fantastic job with high definition signals.I am having buyer's remorse, though. I spoke this morning with Philips to ask the cost of their extended warranty. I was quoted a price of almost $220 a year! As no one really knows how long an LCD TV will actually last, an extended warranty seems like an essential part of the purchase decision, and Philips has just set me back on my heels. I may return the set to the store I purchased it from (Bose) if they can't find a way to get the extended warranty cost down for me.
