Summary: Perfect for runners
Review: I am not a headphone expert nor a music sound expert when it comes to these headphones, but they sound great to me. I will say this; they are excellent for me who runs miles on the treadmill. They block out noise, they're super comfortable, and they stay in my ears unless I take them out. I can even pull a sweatshirt over my head and they will stay in...not to mention when I'm toweling my face. I have had trouble finding headphones that fit my small ears, stay on my ears when exercising, and comfortable. I must agree that there is a small "stethoscope effect" - every time I sniffle or swallow, or if the headphones cord is rubbed, I hear the echo in my ears; however, you really can't hear that when you're running on a loud treadmill anyway.

Summary: Sometimes good, Sometimes bad
Review: I can never get a consistent feel for these. Sometimes they stay in my ears and pump out great sound. Most other times they won't stay in (even when I'm sitting perfectly still) and the sound is lacking the bass I desire.

I think I'm going back to my old headphones.

Summary: the LAST PAIR OF HEADPHONE YOU WILL BUY
Review: I have 4 CD players 3 mp3 players and a MD player only one set of headphones. Some say these ear buds have no bass I agree you must turn up the bass on the player once you have done that they have PLENTY of bass. I was at the point where I could carry more than 4 days of music (115hr) in 10 CDs but could only listen to 3 hr at a time because my ears would hurt problem solved with these. These are so comfortable I can fall asleep with them on no pain. Remember these go in side the ear so they are not as loud as others that are outside of the ear because they don't have to be to have the same effect. These ear buds cancel out sound my mother has yelled at me countless time and I never heard a word (she resorts to throwing something at me to get my attention). Some say "The cord is ridiculous" this is great my players are in my pocket and I am not crouched over looking like the hunchback of Notre Dame. If you have a equalizer in your player these are great

Summary: Fontopia is Fantastic!
Review: I've been searching for way too long for the "perfect" earbud headphones... call me picky, but the over the ear kind make my ears sweat and become irritated, the vertical hard plastic kind hurt my ears, headbands creep off and the in the ear buds are just too big for my small ear canals.
What sold me on these are the fact that they come with different size earbuds that are soft and pliable and overall the product is very lightweight.
Sound quality is excellent, true stereo with very little outside noise creeping in.
The size is perfect to wrap around my Dell Pocket DJ and stick in my pocket.

Mad props to Amazon.com for getting them to me in one day when I requested 2 day shipping... they came from an in state warehouse and I couldn't be happier.

Review: It is the best headphone i have ever used. The sound is clear and loud, doesn't hurt your ears.

Summary: Great sound, comfortable headphones
Review: OK, I just can't pass up what some of these guys who didn't read the directions are saying.
1) Why are the left and right headphone cords different sizes? The answer is so that you loop the longer one (the right) around the back of your neck. When you pop the headphones out they stay around your neck instead of falling to the ground or having to hold them in your hands when you talk to people you run into. I know it's crazy...
2) Why is there no bass on these headphones? If anything these produce too much bass. They have absolutely no problem cranking out Metallica loud enough to make your ears hurt (and still play folk music incredibly well). The only thing I can think of that is causing a lack of bass is if you don't get a tight seal with the ear buds. That's why they give you three sizes because you MUST get a good fit with the headphones to get good bass (or treble as well). You can tell when you get a good seal with the headphones because outside noise will suddenly get much quieter and often when pulling the headphones out of your ear you get a mild popping sensation as the seal is broken. This can even mildly discomforting if you accidentally get them ripped out of your ears while mowing the lawn or working out at the gym. If you read the reviews for the EX70 and EX71 Sony earbuds (same 9mm sound driver) the people there are complaining of too much bass. This product has no problem with bass.

A couple of other points:
1) Sound is very crisp. You will find yourself noticing some of the softer/more intricate parts of a song that you have listened to dozens of times in your car or stereo that you never noticed until you listened to it with these headphones.
2) Very comfortable especially for those of us that listen to music for up to 8 hours a day at work. Your ears don't get sore like they would using normal earbuds.

The only bad thing I would say about these is that they are not industrial strength and will break. The caveat there is the amount of use and abuse I put them through. So after about 2 years I'm not too shocked that my old set is falling apart and I need a replacement.

Needless to say I'm going to get another pair of Sony earbuds.

Summary: Sound/fit great, but "stethoscope effect"
Review: Ok, the fit is amazing. Soft, comfortable. I could wear these things for a long time. I though they might block a little more outside sound than they do --it's not like wearing earplugs-- but they do block about 50% of outside noise I'd say.

The sound is really rich and nice compared to the original earbuds I got with my iPod. There is one annoying problem, though. If I'm playing soft music, or anything gentle or low, I notice something. The movement of the cords make a low movement sound; even just turning your head. I've heard someone describe it as a "stethoscope effect." Whatever it is, I sometimes find it really annoying. Other times I don't even notice it. My iPod earbuds don't do this. If this problem wasn't there, I think these earbuds would be just about perfect.

Summary: Garbage!
Review: Purchased these in hope of bettering my new iPod earphones only to discover the sound to be tinny, weak, and seriously lacking bottom. The winding case included is nothing more than a cheap plastic tube that constantly comes undone and will eventually go into the garbage along with these headphones.

One positive however, they give different sizes of earpieces so the fit was exceptional, but to me earphones aren't a fashion statement, they are equipment to enjoy my music. CAVEAT EMPTOR!

Summary: Survived a trip into my washing machine
Review: Some of you may have read my long review about this product. I still love my headphones after almost 6 months of heavy use, and im really considering buying a second pair. About 3 months ago I lost my Fontopia headphones. I looked ALL over my room for them. Well I decided I will wash some of my clothes while looking in my room for my headphones. Well... I forgot to empty my shirt pocket when I was washing my clothes and you can imagine what happended next... they survived the entire wash cycle before I found them. Luckily they where in their 'case'! I sucked the water out of them, and they still sounded muffled. So I let them soak in clean, warm water thinking detergent is stuck inside. My headphones weren't back to normal until I week later after drying.

Summary: Good Sound, Easy to Lose.
Review: These earphones come with 3 different sized earpieces. I used the smallest sized one, but when one of the earpieces fell off, i was forced to use the bigger earpiece, which was very uncomfortable. On top of that, after 6 months of using the earphones, the right side decided to stop working on me, so i had to throw them out. The reason i bought ANOTHER one of these earphones is because of the great bass and sound quality. With the right earpiece, it fits snug in your ear, and you get this really soft, but lively sound. Would buy again.
