Sennheiser HD56 Portable Mini Headphone

Review: My rating is based on value for money, not by comparison with expensive headphones. The package touts "Super Bass" and there is a definite bias away from treble in the HD 56s. However, the sound is overall quite good. I bought these as a replacement for the headphones that came with my portable CD player and they are quite an improvement. OK, maybe they are not good for listening while mowing, but for normal use I recommend them.

Summary: Best open headphones for (the price)
Review: These headphones have excellent all-around sound quality. Sure, some of the expensive Sony headphones hit the high notes better, but you'll pay a lot more for them. If you're bent on drowning out all outside noise, you probably want to look into some of the pricier Sennheiser closed ear headphones.
