Summary: Extremely comfortable, convenient, and great sound
Review: I have been using these headphones on a daily basis since 2001. Actually, I replaced my worn out headphones in 2002, but that pair is still going strong. While my Sennheiser closed ear headphones have somewhat better sound, the Sony compact folding headphones are the most comfortable ones I have ever worn. I listen to music at work all day long, and a closed design is important to me so that I do not disturb my colleagues. But what matters most is comfort, and I can wear the MDRG82LPs for up to 6 hours with virtually no discomfort. Almost all other headphones eventually hurt my ears. A lot.

I am very sorry Sony has stopped manufacturing these. I have a pair as backup, and I will probably search for a *backup* backup pair because I love these headphones!

Summary: Great sound
Review: Like another reviewer said, these really aren't ment for the street, but more for indoor use. I use these with my Sharp 722 minidisc player and they bring out the bass great. They take a while to get used to but they are actually very comfortable. The earphones put very little wieght on your ears compartive to their size and sound quality. They just have one cord which is very useful and they reduce unwanted wanted noise drasticlly, yet they also reduce wanted noise, like say a car coming from behind. I would only use these inside or for long car/plane rides, as long as your not the one driving.

Summary: Very nice product...VERY...VERY happy with my purchase
Review: These are such a great set of headphones that I'm looking to purchase another one just for home. These things are really comfortable, much more so then other headphones that wrap over your ears. You can even lean back onto a pillow twisting the headphones into the standard headphone position and you won't have any problem listening to audio.

Very happy with this product. Highly suggest you check them out!!

Summary: old and new
Review: these have served me well throughout the past year. though large, they are not bulky. one of the only problem i've had with them are their sound quality. the same quality could be gotten from less expensive headphones with more comfort value. after extended periods of wear, the joints have held up, which is suprising because of their design. again, the only complaint i have is sound quality.

Summary: Great sound, too big for a "street style"
Review: When I buyed these headphones I thought they were a lot smaller, the fact is that they are too big for a "street style", but the sound is unveliabable. Instead of a street style, for me they are "office style", I use them to hear MP3s at work, connected to my PowerBook.

What makes the headphones have this great sound is that they cover all your ear, without putting a lot of weight on them and adding a very cool design.

When you are not hearing music you can fold them so you won't have problems carrying them.

I give the headphones 4 stars, just because the size, but, if you want them for your work or your TV, is a great buy.
