Summary: Not great
Review: My pair broke after the warranty expired so I was pretty mad about that; it seemed like the noise came out of one side more than the other from the beginning, and the problem grew greatly as they wore on, rendering them useless. Also, the headphones are somewhat uncomfortable; they make your ears feel really hot after 30 minutes. I am very disappointed with the bass. Bass gets very distorted at high levels. I have a pair of Sony headphones that came with my Sony Walkman D-E350 and they reach MUCH higher levels of bass than this. The cord is WAY too long and the mute button is a pretty much useless feature. Overall, it's a (less than) average product in a nice package. Purchase the Sennheiser 497s instead.

Summary: Nice
Review: Nice headphones for listening to mp3's on the computer at home, but not something i would wear actively. The thin membrane that covers the closed earphones tears easily exposing the foam padding. The thin, single cable doesnt tangle which is nice. They are definately comfortable and sound good.

Summary: From an owner... the true scoop on these headphones
Review: Ok, these have to be the best phones I've purchased so far and I've owned many from many brands. They fit very well, with extra padding on the back portion (behind the ear). Everyone says they have little or no bass. Ok the truth is, is that these headphones DO NOT AMPLIFY BASS. If your stereo has low bass output, that is what you're going to get. These headphones do not amplify; they play whatever is coming in. If you want bass, read this: find the "bass setting" on whatever you have connected to these things, turn it up, then feel the thumping. Amazing. Yes they DO have bass.

Ok now that the no-bass fable is settled. You'll find the one sided cord very convenient. And the mute button does have use, dispite controversy. Lets say someone steps into the room, just reach back, hit mute, and yes you can carry on a conversation.

They just fit well, sound absolutely great, and yes they have deep bass. Remember, they don't amplify. Set that bass to high and you will hear results.

Summary: Great for the price, but pay a bit more to get a lot more
Review: Okay, so they are not the most sleek, well-designed pair of headphones you can find. But for the price, they work great.

These headphones that go over your ear are great for blocking out noise. It's not 100% noise blockage, but better than most headphones.

Good for office, home, maybe the subway.

Summary: OK headphones, but you can get far better
Review: The sound quality is OK, but the bass on these leaves LOTS to be desired. If you listen to any music with lots of bass you will definetly notice, and I strongly suggest other headphones. I owned a pair of KOSS headphones prior to these and will be buying a new pair of Koss after I return these.

Summary: Great sound and fit
Review: These are great headphones. They are very comfortable and the sound is very well done. The best part of these headphones is how well they fit on your head. It feels like your sleeping on a pillow when wearing the hpx222's. Plus the sound is great. The bass is just perfect. The only negative part dealing with the sound is it could maybe be a little crisper. But anymore crisp an we'd have a $200+ sennheiser. The sound is very good, i've just heard better is all. A great buy for the price. If I broke this set, i'd definetly buy a new one.

Summary: Pretty Good
Review: These headphones are comfortable, cheap, and good sound quality. Theres only one downside I found, it has little to no bass. The bass sounds like it was from one of those ear piece head phones.

Summary: Only two minor failings.
Review: These headphones are great. They have quality sound, even at ear splitting volume levels. They are closed ear headphones so you don't have to worry about outside noise getting in or your music getting out. They also have a mute button on the left ear for when you need to hear what's going on around you. They only have two draw backs: being closed ear headphones your ears will get hot, and the headband tends to get out of adjustment. Other then that I've been really happy with them. I've had them for several months and use them constantly. Well worth the $$$.

Summary: Generally good headphones...
Review: These headphones were great for about 6 months. They had great sound quality for the price, were very comforable, and the closed headphone design prevented outside sounds from ruining the music. After 6 months though, the screws on the sides of the adjustment band started coming lose and falling out. The headphones would then fall off the band and require tedious work to put back together. Eventually, the screws cracked the plastic and I had to super glue it all together. Overall they are good headphones, but be extremely careful with how much use they receive and how you use them.
