Summary: These are very good headphones indeed.
Review: As well as the sound, you must also consider comfort and these are the most comfortable "full size" headphones that I have ever come across.For the level of performance, they are light in weight and have a very clever self adjusting mechanism which is also used on Sony's more expensive headphones. A lot of the weight is supported on the flexible headband and you hardly notice it. This means that there is much less clamping force required to keep everything in place which adds to the comfort. Also, the units flex so that they fit much better to your head. This helps again because the clamping force is evenly spread. I can wear these headphones for hours on end without becoming uncomfortable or getting sticky and sweaty ears. OK, so, they are good to wear but what about the sound? Well, I have never heard a better defined bass register than this on any headphones and while decent loudspeaker systems can reproduce the notes just as well, few people will have experienced such precise definition especially with respect to position. Instruments of all types and voices are all clear and distinct. The cable is a long uncoiled affair and it, together with the terminations seem to be robust. The plug is a dual standard type and so it can be used on both portable and domestic systems though, the headphones are sufficiently large that I doubt many people would consider carrying them about. Highly recommended.

Review: Personally, when looking for a pair of new headphones, they have to be closed (no sound escapes) because the whole point of headphones is that you are the only one listening to your music. The Sony MDR-CD570 headphones are not only closed but they have great sound quality (nice, tight bass) and are extremely comfortable. If you're into hip-hop, you should listen to the track "Find A Way" by A Tribe Called Quest with the 570's on. This track has some of the lowest bass i've ever heard, and it sounds superb. Much better than the critically acclaimed Grado SR-60's that I returned partly because of the sound leakage and partly because of the lack of good bass definition. If you get a chance to purchase the Sony MDR-CD570's, don't think twice about it. These cans have it all, comfort, no sound leakage, and most importantly, sound quality.

Summary: Excellent for Gaming
Review: These headphones have the best sound for a closed phone under $100. IMO. I like closed phones for gaming because when I don't hear outside sounds I feel more immersed in the game. These have a very good bass response and my whole world shakes when there is an explosion in a game. And they are very, very comfortable. Music sounds so good on these that I went back and listed to all my CDs again. I am truly blown away by the sound.
I have them plugged in to the analog output of my nforce2 soundstorm. You definately don't need an amp with these. They are way louder than the portable Altec Lansing phones I had before.

Review: this product was extremely comfy,, and loud. i thought they were quite awesome but a bit pricy. The sound is mind boggling when turned up all the way but when u move ur head u can hear your hair rubbing on the cloth. u might like it, u might not, ur choice

Review: You will not be dissappointed with these headphones. I bought them years ago in Germany and they still blow my mind when I put them on. They produce amazing sound and clarity. They also are the most comfortable headphones I have ever worn.
