Summary: WTF!!!
Review: ... I read the reviews submitted before my own, I thought that I'd be makin a good decision to purchase these headphones over the scores of others I considered. First thing I noticed when I got these headphones was; THEY ARE HUGE!!! I have big ears and my entire ear ended up sitting INSIDE the headphones ear-cup, as opposed to having the outer rim press against my ears, having the inner ear cup aligned with my inner ear. Next thing I realized was, the headphones felt flimsy, and weak, and had exposed screws above the ear-cup, I thought I could overlook these factors if they actually SOUNDED GOOD, so I hooked them up to my computer. The sound was low and distant - the bass was virtually non-existent, the treble was thin, and I swear those volume controls on each side did nothing less than annoyed me. I thought it may have been my computer, so I tried it with a couple other portable devices, it sounded the same. I tried my $13 computer headphone/microphone set with my devices, and they sounded ALOT better! In conclusion, buy these headphones if you like walking around with bass-less, thin sounding headphones that look like grapefruit halves on either side of your head!!

Review: After my old headphones stopped working in one ear, I decided to buy a pair of closed-ear headphones. I just happened to run into these at the local Rite-Aid.(no, seriously, Rite-Aid). Although I can't compare them to other closed-ear headphones because these are the first that I have tried, if I compare them to other headphones around $20, there is absolutely no competition, these are so much better that they make the traditional "foamy" headphones look silly. The first thing that you will notice is the amount of clarity and dynamics in your music that you have probably never noticed before. Also, these can produce nice "thumping" bass with the right input, and the acoustics and vocals sound very sharp compared to others in this price range. All I have to say is that if you have $20 and have never tried closed-ear headphones before, buy these(unless you need to use them for jogging or whatever). After listening to these for a few hours, I can't even imagining having to listen to my laptop speakers again, and never mind those stupid earbuds, which are nothing but fuzzy sounding even at a medium volume. These are very comfortable, and the sound is like no other for $20.

Summary: Good Selection
Review: Although some may complain that the music can damage the ear, it would take someone rather stupid to turn up the volume to such an extreme level. Similarly, the warning placed on there is not there because the risk is higher on these headphones but because it is a precaution to prevent lawsuits; I am sure it is difficult for twenty dollar headphones to do such damage. Moreover, they complain that the two knob control is a hassle; if you are so worried about that, then turn them both up to max and use the volume control on your audio device such as MP3 player or CD player. The padding on the headphones is not bulky making the headphones fit very snuggly on the ear. Furthermore, the sound quality is very good, especially for headphones of that price. All in all, this is a very good purchase for any person who loves music but may be on a budget.

Summary: I Like 'Em !
Review: Audio quality is such a subjective thing. I am no audiophile, and I am primarily using them to listen to high quality aac's (still highly compressed though) on my iPod (I can't stand the included buds, and having the in-ear's in my ears too long gets rotten feeling) and they sound good. The build quality is good, and I don't seem to be having nearly as many problems as some people with the size or comfort of these "cans". For what I paid, at CVS Pharmacy I might add :P, I am very happy.

Review: big mistake i just ordered some koss r80s go with those they are 10 bux more and have 2 times as much bass..im listening to metallica right now and cant even eher any bass....treble is ok recommended if you want to waste your money..dont buyyou get what u pay for

Summary: The Philips HP 107 headphones are Very Good
Review: First I'll say I have a Bass Booster on my stereo which I had to turn off because these have enough bass on their own. Plus too I do not have a equalizer on my stereo. I did not have the need to adjust anything if I had a equalizer.
They do not block out surrounding noise which for me is fine incase I have to hear the phone or the kids. No one can hear anything comming from the headphone either. Good for someone sleeping.
Comfortable on the ears too,not too tight. Weight not heavy on my head. I myself like the volume controls so i can adjust the eveness of the music. I tried the headphones listening to the radio and it was fine; I listened to my cassette tapes, could not tell the difference between CD's or tapes. With the stereo switch turned to Mono the music sounded pretty good too! I turned the volume up a little also. For price per quality I would mention these to a friend. Oh and I LIKE the 8 ft cord considering the distance between my couch and stereo. Yes, I did step on the cord but no big deal. Between 1 and 10, I give these headphones a "9" !!

Review: For the money, these are very good headphones I can use at work.
I just plug them into my harman/kardon speakers for the PC.
For the minuses:
1. Treble sounds "brassy"
2. Some minor distortions
For the plusses:
1. Very good bass. If you're not into rap, you don't need more bass.
2. I am a pretty big guy, so the size is adequate. And no, they don't look like grapefruit halves on my head, more like lemon halves.
3. The overall clarity is decent
4. Long cord allows for some mobility
Since the plusses outweigh the minuses, it's a good buy.
Nothing beats a nice home stereo with premium speakers, but these headphones are a practical solution for work/home office music needs.

Summary: These are GREAT!!!
Review: Granted I have never had any other headphones for my CD player but the ones that the cd players all come with but this time I decided to spring and hope that these would be worth it. Well, they are, BIG TIME!! For ... these were an absolute STEAL!! These are the perfect compliment with my Panasonic CD player. They drown out all the surounding noise on trains and when walking anywhere. The volume controls are great and the stereo mode is AWESOME. If you are looking to replace those bad headphones that you get with your portable CD players don't look anywhere else. Hope this helps.

Summary: Best Headphones
Review: I am not someone who spends a lot of money on headphones. This philips hp170 is worth more than the ... dollars. Its is the best headphone I have. It is better than the Aiwa and Sony headphones that I used to use. I paid $... each of those also.
The sound on this philips is very, very clear. There is no distortion at all.I HIGHLY RECOMEND IT.

Review: I bought these before I went on an 18 day excursion in Europe and they worked wonderfully. They are comfortable enough to sleep in and they project the music is such a way that it actually sounds like you are live at the concert! Very nice headphones for an amazing price! I'd buy them again and again.
