Review: I read about these "terrific" headphones only to find out they were low quality. After a few months, one speaker stopped working. In order to get it to work, I had to wiggle the wire. It got very frustrating. I wish I could send them back to Amazon but I accidently ripped the headphone wire trying to get the right speaker to work. Get something better.

Summary: I'm very happy with these headphones
Review: I really like the headphones, they work well and I find them comfortable. The cord plugs in at the headphone end which is nice because I occasionaly accidently yank it out. Which is a whole lot better than having to replace them due to a broken cord.

Summary: Very good sound for a good price
Review: I was very interested in trying a pair of Sennheiser headphones and this week, they had this pair for about 46% off, which is an excellent value.Look & Feel: I like the feel a little bit more than the overall look. These headphones are extremely light (the whole package - box and all - apparently only weighed in at about 2 pounds. When wearing them, they don't feel like much at all - I practically don't feel like I'm wearing anything. The look is sleek, but rather subdued - not extremely fancy at first glance. Movies: I hooked these up to my receiver and really - right out of the box - tried to give them a very tremendous workout. I grabbed "Twister" and "U-571", two movies (especially "U-571") that both offer very, very heavy low bass. I was instantly stunned by their power while playing "Twister". The low-end was simply amazing. The headphones were vibrating on my head, but they still provided very tight, very powerful bass. I took them off my head and held up a sound meter to them, which read out at about 105 decibels. They also provided a very nice "surround" feel - although headphones certainly don't provide "surround" sound (well, except for Dolby's new pair), I still felt very enveloped. I would just warn to keep tabs on the volume, because these are capable of cleanly delivering very loud sound - enough to damage hearing (don't try this at home, kids!) Music: They do kind of favor the low-end, which makes their sound a slight bit flat, but I also prefer this kind of sound because I like to listen to music for hours and a high-end favor tends to become uncomfortable. I agree that they do need to be broken in - and giving them various various movie soundtracks seemed to be a more effective way of doing this.

Summary: Comfortable, mid-price, closed headphone
Review: I'm very satisfied with these headphones. I was looking for a closed type of headphone, yet didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars. The models above this seemed to all be open ear models, so I selected this model. I've had them up pretty loud, and the only problem I've noticed is that they will start to overload if the bass is pushed too hard a a high volume. For my ears, they seem to require a bit of a push on the high end as well, but that's not a problem to adjust with EQ. They're comfortable to wear for hours, though the closed design does tend to make your ears a bit warm and it can get uncomfortable after long periods of wearing. The cord is thin, and detachable, which is a great feature. If you're looking for low cost headphones for just about any but the most demanding use, these will fit the bill.

Summary: Modest Headphones at a Modest Price
Review: I've been slowly upgrading the head phones I own usually because the headphones break. Not what one usually assumes to be the functional part, just the cheap plastic parts that hold the important bits to your head. I have three headphones now, one a new Sennheiser EH2200, the other two held together by duct tape. My first reaction to the Sennheiser EH2200 when I got it was "Oh no, more cheap plastic." I was a little underwhelmed by the not so sturdy construction. But who knows, maybe they'll hold up. They are comfortable to wear. Other head phones begin to hurt the top of my head for some reason. These haven't. But how do they sound?!? Okay. I wasn't bowled over. I think somehow I expected to be wowed, but I wasn't. They're a little heavy on the low end which seems to overwhelm the mid range at least listening to rock-n-roll. So far I've mostly listed to mp3's but generally the sound is crisp and clean. I think with these headphones I notice much more than before the differences between different recordings. This is good, I want to hear the music not my headphones interpretation of it. I am definitely happy with these headphones and consider them to be a step up from my previous $50 Optimus (probably make by Koss) headphones.

Summary: PC Gaming
Review: If your looking for headphones for PC Gaming, I am very satisfied with mine. As far as the volume the headphones are set to, generally, I need to turn down the volume in a PC game a little bit. But if the headphones were set any higher, it would just be uncomfortable, since most of the games I play are the 1st person shooters. You can also feel the vibration on your ears from the base. It seems to be a great product, since I can't find any comparable headphones at a Bestbuy/CompUSA type of store. And I do have a $20 headphone, and you can considerably tell the difference, especially in the base. There really is no comparison. Its diffinitely worth the extra money. enjoy

Summary: Great Bargain
Review: It took me a very long time to decide on these headphones but I am certainly glad I did. They offer ver accurate sound reproduction and are exceptionally priced. Out of the box I was very disappointed with the, but i gave them a shot and it took about an hour to break them in and now they sound great. My one gripe is that the bass is a little weak. I am a bass freak and like my bass punchy but the bass on these headphones is present but not overbearing. On the whole, the base is tight but blends well into the mids and the highs are crips and not at all tinny. They are very comfortable to wear for long periods of time, even with my glasses on. If you want an inexpensive pair of headphones that helps you escape into musical bliss, this is the pair.

Review: Knowing of Sennheiser's reputation for making the best headphones, I decided to try out the Sennheiser 2200's. I use them to listen to my stereo... The connections I use are gold-plated, so basically there is nothing to get in the way of these headphones sounding great. But they don't. The sound is a little bit hollow and tinny, not warm and rich like I would expect. These headphones are made for "Critical Listening Environments", and I think that is the main problem with them. Sounds can be very realistic on them, but the balancing is all off and when you turn them up past a certain volume, which isn't even very high, the treble gets so tinny and obnoxious that it hurts your ears. The bass is OK, it's realistic but not very loud, and doesn't have much kick to it. Also, they are not very efficient, meaning that if you want to listen to them on a portable, forget about it. I was so disappointed with these that I'm giving them to my friend for free and I'm buying [another brand], which have gotten rave reviews across the board, and they are cheaper.
