Summary: Very Nice Headphones - Good Price!
Review: -=1=- For 70 dollars plus shipping these headphones are a good deal. I did a couple hours looking through all the major websites, sony, aiwa, sennheiser, ubid, ebay. If you find a better offer for a larger frequency (12 to 22,000 Hz) then get it! If not I suggest these headphones.
-=2=- Qualities I like: Comfortable fit -Around- my ears, comfortable padding on top of the head, and a very nice sound quality.
-=3=- FYI, I use these headphones for gaming and music listening, excellent for both.

Summary: Disappointing hollow distant sound
Review: After reading the reviews I purchased these headphones. I was really disappointed. They are so tinny and thin - the sound is tiring and sharp. My cheap portable Koss headphones sound much better. I returned them.

Summary: Broke within 2 months
Review: Bought these suckers for use with my DVD/Home-Theater system as the family tends to get mad when I watch Terminator type flicks at 2:am. Before they broke worked the sound was just average... missed the high tones and low tones. Turn up the volume, but not so much that you wouldn't actually listen that way, and distortion occurred.
Two moths after using them, and for no apparent reason, one ear piece stopped functioning. I disassembled the piece and noted that the thin wire connecting the actual speaker to the unit was broken. I soldered in another wire, and the speaker worked, as good as before, but note that was not that great to begin with. I expected more for the price.
Look elsewhere or risk wasting your dough.

Summary: a real disappointment
Review: first of all, the thing looks and feels CHEAP. I mean plastic that could be from (an inexpensive) headphone. the fit is terrible -- if you have a reasonably large head, you are out of luck, since the thing squeezes your ears brutally, with no chance to adjust it in a comfortable way. wear it for more than 30 minutes, and your head aches. the sound is o.k., but not much better than most open headphones for half the price. i regret buying this one, definitely, and will now have to look for another one -- i.e. wasted (money)

Summary: Very good value.
Review: For ..., I think these are an excellent value- a good way for non-audiophiles to upgrade to better phones.The sound is crisp and clear, and compares very well to more expensive phones I've heard in stores. Bass response is good, so much so that I don't use the Megabass as much on my portable. Speaking of portables, these will work adequately with a portable player (max volume just a tad bit low), unlike many premium headphones. Of course, you will get best results playing these with a regular stereo. They are very comfortable and lightweight, so you don't notice them too much. The light weight also helps a little in the portability factor. One note- Headphones sound a lot better after you break them in for at least a few hours. This one is no different-

Summary: good until right driver stops working
Review: For the most part, these cans did well. Flattest frequency response you can get for $70, highly comfortable and lightweight, and with durable construction. So why does it get just one star?
1. The detatchable headphone cable is a nightmare. It always gets pulled out when I stand up, or if the cat trips over the cord by the floor. But if it needs replacing, you have to order another by mail from the company as it's a "sub"-mini plug and hard to find (a way to prevent self-serviceability by getting radioshack replacements).
2. After a few years, the right ear driver just stopped working. No jiggling could convince the eh2200s otherwise. The wires all look fine, I even replaced the detatchable one. I've heard of this happening to other consumers as well.
3. Sennheiser's customer service is a joke. It's nonexistent. Sent them a tech question email through the proper channels of their website - 2 months and still no reply. Called their service phone during their own business hours: nobody there. Even if they come back to me and offer to service the cans for a small fee, I'm going to invest in another brand, one that perhaps picks up the phone!!

Summary: Comfortable headphones, but lacking sound performance
Review: I am a drummer and I wanted good quality studio quality headphones that offered some isolation from ambient noise. I got home plugged in these headphones and was shocked. I am a bit of an audiophile and I was shocked at what i heard:(
The sound quality at low volumes is nothing special it deffinately lacks in bass. However once you turn up the voulme they started to distort. The headphones couldn't handle the bass. While we're on sound the clarity of the headphones is good at low volumes but once you turn them up, again they just distort!!!! These headphones are extremely comfortable but I would deffinalty not recommend them. I bought them myself after looking at the other reviews on amazon, as most people gave them an alright write up. But I am very unsattisfied with them and I am taking them back and going to get some Koss ones. I would not recommend these headphones for anyone, however if you never turn your music up to moderate or high levels then maybe purchase these, otherwise steer clear. Go for the Koss R80 or Koss UR30!!!!!!

Summary: Good pair of headphones for most people
Review: I am listening through these right now. I have not given them time to be 'broken in.' All I have heard before has been through poor headphones, meaning those that cost 5~30 dollars. So, as others have said, it is a jump.
But whether these fit a person's needs or not depends on how great a sound a person wants. These are by no means poor headphones. In fact, I believe it makes my inexpensive pair sound quite untruthful to the music. These are a great buy for the price.
However, they do not have the greatest build. Although they fit comfortably and such, they are not really 'street headphones,' and should not be knocked around too much.
Of course, more expensive headphones will likely have better quality. But these are more than sufficient to enjoy music, and on a very high level for the price.

Summary: Very friendly to your ears!
Review: I am not a proffesional , but I think that these are good headphones for the money I payed. EH2200 are very light and easy to use, you don't even notice them on your head. Even after few hours of listening they don't get tiring. I listened a lot of music with them and also watched some movies on DVD with them. They offer a clean and balanced sound, maybe lack a bit of power (if you are not an audiophile you want notice that), also they could dampen outside sounds a bit more, this is not a problem if you turn the volume up a bit more. My portable CD player turned out to be a bit weak for them (can't play at high volume). The cable can be detached and all contacts are gold plated. They are very practical. To wrap things up, I like them and I use them a lot, at first they were bit stiff, but after ½burning them in½ sound loosened up and got more natural.
I recommend this headphones to anyone who listenes to music a lot, they are very friendly to your ears! If you are a ½regular½ user they will be great for you, even If you are a bit more serious listener like me, you will probably be satisfied with them.

Summary: Ok, but there are better
Review: I am not all that impressed with these headphones or any of the Sennheiser mid priced headphones. I have tried the HD 500, and HD 570. The high end ones (I have a pair of HD590) are fantastic, though. I use the EH2200 them with a sony discman, which could be part of the problem. If you are looking for a good pair of headphones in this price range that are closed ear, I suggest the Koss R80. They are a little bulky, but in my opinion sound much better with various sources, and are less expensive.
