Summary: where's the bass?
Review: So, I should have listened to the folks on here who said that these had poor bass response. they really do. I mean, they'll be fine for walking to work, where there is lots of background noise - but for just sitting and listening? not so much. Got these to replace my ipod buds, since I'm one of the millions out there whose ears don't fit the famous white headphones. The sonys fit great, feel good in my ears, which is the first time I've had a set of ear buds that did so. but damn, the sound quality is tinny with very little bass response. and, as someone else noted, they sound awful on the ipod on any EQ setting besides "flat" - try boosting the bass, and they go all crunchy really fast.

Summary: Perfect headphone
Review: It is the best headphone i have ever used. The sound is clear and loud, doesn't hurt your ears.

Summary: Don't move
Review: When these in-ear headphones are properly installed (and getting them in right is like an installation) the sound is amazing. I've heard parts of songs that I'd never heard before. But the headphones suffer from two massive flaws. The first is that if the headphones move the tiniest bit out of your ear canal, the sound quality plummets. This is a huge problem because the cord is so long that it is guaranteed to catch on something and jiggle the earbuds. Even when wrapped up and out of the way, the cord will respond to the slightest movement and pop the earbuds out of your ears. This is extraordinarily frustrating, all the more so because the sound is so good. Even worse, because these are in-ear, whenver the cord moves it makes a racket. I do NOT recommend these headphones to active people or to people that plan on moving much at all. If, however, you don't plan on moving much with these headphones, you're golden. Also note: that little case that comes with them should be used all the time; the earbud pieces will come off in your bag or pocket and the case helps prevent that. It also helps prevent just whipping out your iPod and listening, since you have to undo the case and store it, but that's the least of your problems with these headphones.

Summary: Perfect for runners
Review: I am not a headphone expert nor a music sound expert when it comes to these headphones, but they sound great to me. I will say this; they are excellent for me who runs miles on the treadmill. They block out noise, they're super comfortable, and they stay in my ears unless I take them out. I can even pull a sweatshirt over my head and they will stay in...not to mention when I'm toweling my face. I have had trouble finding headphones that fit my small ears, stay on my ears when exercising, and comfortable. I must agree that there is a small "stethoscope effect" - every time I sniffle or swallow, or if the headphones cord is rubbed, I hear the echo in my ears; however, you really can't hear that when you're running on a loud treadmill anyway.

Summary: Garbage!
Review: Purchased these in hope of bettering my new iPod earphones only to discover the sound to be tinny, weak, and seriously lacking bottom. The winding case included is nothing more than a cheap plastic tube that constantly comes undone and will eventually go into the garbage along with these headphones.

One positive however, they give different sizes of earpieces so the fit was exceptional, but to me earphones aren't a fashion statement, they are equipment to enjoy my music. CAVEAT EMPTOR!

Summary: Fontopia is Fantastic!
Review: I've been searching for way too long for the "perfect" earbud headphones... call me picky, but the over the ear kind make my ears sweat and become irritated, the vertical hard plastic kind hurt my ears, headbands creep off and the in the ear buds are just too big for my small ear canals.
What sold me on these are the fact that they come with different size earbuds that are soft and pliable and overall the product is very lightweight.
Sound quality is excellent, true stereo with very little outside noise creeping in.
The size is perfect to wrap around my Dell Pocket DJ and stick in my pocket.

Mad props to Amazon.com for getting them to me in one day when I requested 2 day shipping... they came from an in state warehouse and I couldn't be happier.

Summary: Sometimes good, Sometimes bad
Review: I can never get a consistent feel for these. Sometimes they stay in my ears and pump out great sound. Most other times they won't stay in (even when I'm sitting perfectly still) and the sound is lacking the bass I desire.

I think I'm going back to my old headphones.

Summary: Survived a trip into my washing machine
Review: Some of you may have read my long review about this product. I still love my headphones after almost 6 months of heavy use, and im really considering buying a second pair. About 3 months ago I lost my Fontopia headphones. I looked ALL over my room for them. Well I decided I will wash some of my clothes while looking in my room for my headphones. Well... I forgot to empty my shirt pocket when I was washing my clothes and you can imagine what happended next... they survived the entire wash cycle before I found them. Luckily they where in their 'case'! I sucked the water out of them, and they still sounded muffled. So I let them soak in clean, warm water thinking detergent is stuck inside. My headphones weren't back to normal until I week later after drying.

Summary: Sound/fit great, but "stethoscope effect"
Review: Ok, the fit is amazing. Soft, comfortable. I could wear these things for a long time. I though they might block a little more outside sound than they do --it's not like wearing earplugs-- but they do block about 50% of outside noise I'd say.

The sound is really rich and nice compared to the original earbuds I got with my iPod. There is one annoying problem, though. If I'm playing soft music, or anything gentle or low, I notice something. The movement of the cords make a low movement sound; even just turning your head. I've heard someone describe it as a "stethoscope effect." Whatever it is, I sometimes find it really annoying. Other times I don't even notice it. My iPod earbuds don't do this. If this problem wasn't there, I think these earbuds would be just about perfect.
