Summary: You've never heard music quite like this....
Review: I have never written a review before, but this product is so bad I felt like I had to warn people. First I will say the design is very good, and very comfortable. The length of the cord that others reviews mention is in fact bothersome. At first I thought I bought a defective model. But what is really important when buying headphones is the sound. I read some reviews talking about bass. I assumed that these people were hip hop heads that wanted extreme bass. Let me tell you... it is bad. I didnt even know what bassless music sounded like until I bought these. I would maybe listen to an audio book with them but there is no way I would try to listen to any genre of music. And for the record I did place them inside me ears, and I did try all of the sizes. This may help with comfort, but not with the sound quality. Needless to say I returned them 20 minutes after buying. It doesnt take long to realize that you can get much better headphones at a fraction of the cost. If you decide to try this moedel please make that the store has a good return policy or you will be even more disappointed.

Summary: Happy, happy, happy
Review: Great set of ear-phones for the price; good clarity, great general sound, better than adequate bass. Coupled it with a Creative Labs Zen Xtra, and the combination is perfect. Ear plugs come with 3 sizes of earpieces - one is bound to fit. Great for train/subway commuting, as it baffles a lot of the outside world noises down to a muted level. Bizarre carrying case, though.

Review: I have fallen in love wioht the greatness of these headphones the bass is amazing and the clarity is great. The first time I used them I didn't put them deep enough into my ear and I didnt hear any bass but then when I put them deeper in my ear they were great.

Summary: $39.99 for comfort?
Review: I bought these and it sucks!!! The only thing that is good about this is the comfort and can block outside sound. (3 different sizes....wow....(sarcastic)) You cannot share headphones because this is the type that goes behind you. If you have a lot of earwax....it will catch it!!! Yuck!!! The bass is okay, but not as loud than the other ones. The case that came with it was small and I dont know how to use it. The Sony MDRE828LP is alot better. It has the same amount of bass, louder sound, and the wind up case is well worth it. Oh yeah....its 3x smaller in $.

Summary: So-So for the iPod Mini
Review: Compared to the stock iPod mini earphones, these offer some improvements. Outside noise is reduced by its closed-type design and the 3 different earsize caps should fit most people pretty well. Sound quality is alright. Very crisp, but the bass is a little bit lacking. But it's on par if not better than the stock earphones. The cord, however, is insane. After the split, the code to the right ear is about 1 foot longer than the left ear. I have no idea why they did this except to make you look like a fool with extra cord hanging around the neck. Additionally, because of the uneven length, there's always a slightly heavier tug on the left ear.

Summary: Did not meet expectations
Review: I bought these for their touted sound quality and noise canceling ability. Befroe using these I had Sony's MDR G72 (which I prefer). Just as is the case when buying speakers, it only makes sense that a small headphone will not produce the same range of sound as a larger pair. Bass response is minimal, unlike what some other reviewers have stated. Indeed, these are comfortable and cancel out exterior noise, but sound quality is sacrificed. Quite dissapointing. I'm either going to buy another pair of the MDRs or perhaps a Sennheiser.

Summary: wow wow wow the best ive ever heard
Review: i compared and notice a few things...they have to fit and be comfortable, the bass has to be solid (as far headphone like these are concerned), and the sound has to be crisp. fresh out the box these headphones are great looking then to make it even better they have 3 sizes of earplugs (lrg med and small i guess) so when you get them in your ears all thats left is the sound quality. from low to high volume the sound quality is mint on rap and rock but what makes it even better is my super bass that has 2 levels that i can now use and most "earphones" cant handle bass whatsoever, but the bass level hits hard on these little suckers they handle fullblast bass and volume like none other ive ever seen. they almost sound better thsan my stereo

Summary: Great Headphones!
Review: I paid $40 for these at Best Buy, because I am sometimes too impatient to order online. They are definitely worth every penny! At very first, I thought I was disappointed, but when I figured out which covers fit my ears best and got them "plugged" - they sounded GREAT! It is very good of Sony to include 3 sizes of the silicon covers, as peoples' ears vary in size. I started with the small ones, then realized the medium fit way better, sealing when not as far into my ear (which turned out to be way more comfortable). I have had no problems at all with them being loose either. Like everyone else said, they DO provide great bass response (amazing for how small they are) when put properly into the ear - otherwise they sound like any other headphone. There are only 2 downsides I can forsee:
1) If the cord got caught on something, it would probably hurt a bit (but this is same for all earbud-type headphones).
2) If you are moving a lot (like running) you can kinda hear the cord as it hits your shirt or arm, because it is inside your ear and you can hear little things like that. But as long as the music keeps playing, I think it would hardly be noticeable. I hope this review helps anyone else who was as hesitant as me to buy headphones - there are a LOT of them out there, and you can't try them all unless you are filthy rich ;)

Summary: Great Sound and Comfort
Review: PROS:
Forget the standard earbuds that make your ears ache after 15 minutes. The Sony Fontopia earbuds are super comfortable and easy to wear for long periods of time. The silicone rubber plugs are easily cleaned (unlike typical foam earbud covers -yuck!) and Sony provides several sizes to fit your ear. And the sound fidelity is unmatched in any earbud at this price. CONS:
While Sony provides a small pillbox-type case to protect the earbuds themselves, the wires do not have a storage case. Sony should have included a small wind-up case like they do on their $10 standard earbuds. For $30 there's no excuse not to provide an adequate storage case for our investment.

Review: Excellent, comfortable design; wonderful base and mid-ranges; nearly inaudible to people around you. These things sound better than all the headphones I own, my home stereo, and my car stereo. Highly recommended.
