Summary: Not a quality item for anyone serious!
Review: I'm ashamed I did not do my homework before making this purchase....After considerable fiddling with the transmitter and receiver controls, location, ect.(and believe me, I have no problem understanding the DIRECTIONS), I find these wireless headphones to be clearly INFERIOR!..Even after careful tuning, I still find that they produce "white noise" signal drop while situated about 10 feet away from the transmitter! Maybe acceptable for the kids bedroom stuff.....but for the serious listener..FORGET IT!

Summary: Great for work!
Review: I bought the Advent 770 after going to Best Buy and trying on the various models they had there. I found this model to be the most comfortable at the store so I bought them from Amazon. I wear them at work for hours at a time and even though I wear glasses, I am always comfortable. Other headphones I have worn compress my ears too much--but this set does not. (A did not like a Sony wireless headphone for that reason.)There is some adjustment of the controls (to match the frequency of the base and the headphones) needed, but it does not bother me. It is very similar to changing channels on a cordless phone, only it is an analog dial. I am very happy with the product and I am considering buying a second pair for home use.

Summary: Great product and sound for the money
Review: I have purchased the advent770 and very happy with them.All those who gave these headphones a low rating,it because you didn't understand the directions.First and most important is the the sound source must be received through the line output and not the headphone output of your stereo receiver.And second,is the 2 tumbwheel adjustments behind the wireless receiver must be properly set before any other adjusments on the headphones.Read the directions a couple of times and you be at your neighbor's house listening to music from your house!

Summary: Excellent Sound quality, but the range is too short
Review: The quality is great if you stand next to the base. The level of distortion quickly rises as you move away from the base. But I tested it in my high-rise building and at work, packed with all kinds of computers and electronics. Also, you have to keep adjusting to a clear channel manually by rotating a knob on both the base and the phones. Very annoying... Even though the description states that the headphones come with the rechargeable batteries, this is false. It comes with regular ones which lasted ~ 8 hours. The headphones themselves are too bulky but I did not have a chance to compare them to the Sony's or JVC's ones. The position of the controls is awkward - Volume control right next to channel tuner, both behind your ear - you'd keep rotating one instead of the other.

Review: I use these at work, and the sound is great and the cord frees me from my desk. (I often have to travel around the building.) I work with computers andI wasn't sure how it would work with all of the electrically noisy equipment around us but it works great! Highly recommended!

Summary: Advent AW770 Wireless Headphones
Review: Overall very pleased with the product. The phones are lightweight, comfortable, and the sound quality is good anywhere in our house & yard. The quality of construction of the phones and the base unit is good. There is an ample supply of cables & adapters, i.e., for plugging into a computer soundcard.

Summary: Limited range with poor sound quality
Review: The sound quality of these headphones was relatively poor but that is not why I returned them. The range was about 25 feet on the same floor and then loud static would come and go at different locations in the house. This was very consistent. In the basement they were useless. I replace them with a set by RCA model wph150 for $30 less and the sound was much better and no problem anywhere in the house.

Summary: Sounds fairly good, lightweight, not bad.
Review: Simple to install, and sounds fairly good. Range is adequate for my modest tract home & yard (which never takes me more than 200 feet from the base.) I sometimes get a little static when I sit back in the easy chair (metal springs?) I was used to a heavier closed headset, so I was pleased with the lighter weight of this closed headphone. I was mostly interested in isolation from unwanted background noise while watching TV or listening to CDs. The closed earpieces provide just acceptable isolation from outside noise. The built-in nicad recharger is a little slow (needs 12+ hours to lay in a full charge), but assuming you only need them 6 hours a day, it should suffice.
