Summary: Good headphones.
Review: These are pretty good heaphones. I've used them for about 20 hours a day for over a year on relativly high volume and they finally started to cut out and stuff this afternoon. They've always sounded great with decent lows, mids, and highs. ;) good price too. If Sony didn't have a bunch of newer models out I'd definatly buy these again.

Summary: Snug, comfortable fit, good sound.
Review: These are the first behind-the-neck phones I've purchased; I'd seen some of the reviews here, some of which citing issues such as "inadjustability" and that the MDR-G57G isn't designed for "large heads". In fact, the neck- and ear-pieces are made to flex to the wearer's head very nicely. These are actually some of the most comfortable headphones I've ever put on. No "ear discomfort" at all as one reviewer reported - causing me to wonder if this person hadn't been wearing the things incorrectly in the first place, such as one would do an "over-the-head"-type of phone. This would explain the "too small" and "inadjustable" comments. You'll find that there's no feeling of having your head squeezed as you would wearing an "over-the-head" phone, nor will you experience that "I'm losing my ear-piece!" feeling with these like you might with earplugs. Sound quality is good - an opinion shared by other reviewers. Base quality is decent without being so strong as to give you an aneurism in your brain from its concussion. Someone's stated that a person sitting next to the wearer can hear the sound coming from the phones... It's true with all open-air units, this. Pay a few-hundred for a sealed-ear unit or get some plugs if it worries you what your neighbor's gonna hear you listening to, because you'll not find an open-air unit that's silent to adjacent accidental listeners. What these phones do well beyond sound is stay on your head without annoyance during active persuits, such as cycling or jogging or walking or whatnot. Each ear-piece even has its own reflective orange inlay to ward-off any potential collisions during use in work-out persuits.My recommendation? For the price and type of headphone, these'll keep up with their contemporaries. They're comfortable and secure to your head while engaged in physical activity and they've got good sound quality to them. I'm pretty happy with mine, so yeah, I'll say "try 'em" - I think you might like the things. "Five Stars"? Why not.

Summary: Nice Design but...
Review: These headphones a good, but not great, or even really good... just 'good'. The design is actually the best part. They are by far the most comfortable wrap-around headphones I have ever tried on. They are especially nice when working out, as they do not slip at all. Bass - Weak. Very, very weak.
Trebel - Too strong actually, and not very good to boot. The trebel lines in music drown out all the other sounds. On songs that have particularly high or loud trebel sounds, it is almost painful to listen to.
Vocals - Not anything special. For the price, they are horrible. You do not get your money's worth. The sound is iffy, and the design is good. The koss KSC-50 sport ear-clip headphones (or the KSC-55, wrap-around) have twice the sound quality of these, and are much more bang for your buck. Overall, these headphones aren't worth your money.

Summary: Stay in place but hurt your ears
Review: These headphones sound great and they stay in place really well, but they are terribly uncomfortable. The rubber pieces that go behind your ears are too thick and the speakers mash your ears up against them. The situation is even worse if you wear glasses (or sunglasses). There's no room behind your ears for both the headphone's rubber pieces and your glasses.

Summary: Sony headphones!
Review: These work very well, very nice sound quality, but one minor problem other reviewers have also noted after extended use they do actually began to hurt your ears. My ears started to get sore after about an hour of having them on. This must be attributed by the fact they rest on your ear, but besides that they are nicely priced and have nice sound so worth the purchase.

Summary: Nice upgrade
Review: With their unusual style, relatively sleek design, pretty comfy and very good sound quality, these phones are a good deal. Since headphones seem to come and go, disappear and reapper in a family household, this pair is a winner for longevity and quality; besides if it is cold out they keep your ears warm! I bought these for one of my sons because they have that youthful hipster appeal, keeps the do in place(how could you mess up a gel spiked do?) and perfect for the active lifestyle. No complaints ever from one of the teeners in my life and I even like to use them on occasion although I prefer ear buds. They are comfortable but when I first "borrowed" them I wasn't used to the behind the ear feature and tried putting them on wrong; leave it to dad to clutz it up! I really do like them although there is a little sound that escapes from the snug fit but still they sound great. A good set of phones for your younger set that has a portable player; besides, you'll look "kewl" in the process. Innovative design and good sound quality make this set of headphones a winner. Buy these to replace the typically inferior headphones that come with most portable players.

Summary: Great Headphones
Review: Yes, the price is a bit high, but these are high quality headphones. The single line out the left ear is the best and reduces any chance of catching or tangles. The sound is unbelievable, best from any headphones I own. I use them with my DJ MP3 player for great sound quality from high quality MP3s.
As for comfort, I can see why people don't like them, but I use them in the gym and for my ears, they fit nicely with little to no discomfort, depending on how they are sitting on your head.
If your like me and can't wear ear buds cause they fall out, these are a great alternative for high quality audio.
