Rating: Summary: good quality, great price Review: I love these headphones. They were cheap, and they make my ipod sound even better. The closed style makes it easy to listen to music without getting disturbed by others or disturbing them. You can get a pretty good volume out of this simple closed design before people other than you can start to hear the music.
The sound reproduction is excellent, and they've been durable, too. They've been stepped on and squished quite a few times, in fact. Thumbs up.
Rating: Summary: Great headphones for a great price Review: I love these headphones. They sound great and have plenty of bass, they have a long cord, and they are very inexpensive. When I first started wearing them, they were pretty tight on my head and felt very uncomfortable after a few minutes of wearing them. After about a week of wearing them and stretching out the plastic with my head, they feel great. The closed design is good to keep outside noise out, and keep your music from disturbing anyone else.
Rating: Summary: what a great buy Review: I must admit, these headphones are one of the best buys I have ever made. With the rebate, it comes out to about 20 bucks. I wasn't sure about other people's reviews at first but I am now convinced that Sennheiser is far superior in the headphone-producing industry. The sound is awesome! My 80 dollar Boston speakers couldn't match. One thing to beware is that it does not have a volume control. This addition would make the headphones flawless for the price. Buy these if you are on a budget and looking for the best bang for your buck.
Rating: Summary: Great sound & great isolation for the price Review: I now own two pairs of HD 202s, having used one pair for about a year now at school and recently purchased a second pair for home. I use them primarily with my iPods (first- and fourth-generation).
These headphones provide excellent sound, especially for the price. They have a strong though not overbearing bass response (by comparison, a pair of HD 457s gave the bass too much weight for my taste - most music felt unbalanced). With the iPod, I find that the 202s sound best with one of the equalizer settings that doesn't pump up the bass too much. I listen to a wide variety of music, including opera, bluegrass, classical, rock, lo-fi, and find that the headphones handle all of them well.
A strong point, for me, is these headphones' abilitiy to isolate me from ambient noise. In the small classroom where I work, five other students are often talking or using relatively noisy hand tools; I find that the 202s do an excellent job attenuating the noise and let me focus on the work in front of me. While they don't have active noise cancelling, I find that they even work fairly well on Boston's notoriously old and noisy subways; with the 202s, I don't have to turn the volume up quite so loud to block out the noise of the train.
Some reviewers have commented on the fit of the headphones. I have not had any discomfort from either pair, even after several hours' use. These headphones do, however, grip the head somewhat tightly compared with other phones. I wear glasses with fairly flexible temple pieces and haven't had trouble with the phones pressing too much. (They even, in a pinch, make decent ear warmers, fitting over my ears just about perfectly on chilly days.)
Overall, the sound that comes from these headphones is crisp and powerful, even from an iPod, and at around $20, they're quite a bargain.
Rating: Summary: Excellent value for the $$$ Review: I purchased these a couple of weeks ago,and have been using them a lot.I got them to replace some earbuds I got with my new mp3player.And? They're great...wonderful Sennheiser sound,as usual..resounding bass, crisp treble. Not surprising,as they come from a company long viewed as a leader in headphone technology. Comfort? I find them to be very comfortable..no problems there. You can't beat them price-wise.Years ago, headphones of this quality would have cost a fortune..not today, though, and you would be hard-pressed to find fault with these.
Rating: Summary: Not too bad... Review: I recently bought a pair of these headphones for general use (computer, cd player, etc) and I must say the sound quality overall is very nice! However, to me the bass seems to be lacking, although this may be because I am used to a subwoofer. The biggest gripe I have with this pair of headphones is the fact that they tend to become uncomfortable after around 30 minutes or more of usage. Noise cancelling is actually quite nice for this price range. Overall I would recommend this product for general use.
Rating: Summary: Very Close to Being Absolutely Perfect! Review: I recently bought these headphones after searching through all the Amazon.com reviews of every major brand and model. My top four choices for closed-ear headphones were the Sennheiser HD-212, Sennheiser HD-497, Koss TD-80, and these (Sennheiser HD-202).After much careful deliberation, I chose the HD-202 because it was under $... and the reviews sounded good. The only thing I was concerned about was comfort --- which most of the negative reviews reflected. However, after testing out these headphones, I am very glad I bought them. I plugged the headphones into my computer speakers (Logitech Z-340), and they sounded awesome. The bass and treble were perfect, illuminating just about every mp3 I was playing. As for the comfort, I can see why there is criticism. The size of the cups are small; for people with small to regular ears, there will be no problem. But for people with big ears, these headphones might not fit properly (that or they'll likely be uncomfortable). (* Note, if you can try these on before buying, do it. The cup size is about the same as the Koss TD-60.) I'm giving these headphones a very high 4 for sound quality and price. I definitely think the cups should be larger though, but for most people it should suffice.
Rating: Summary: Good Review: I think these are worth the price. Good sound quality. It lacks a bit in bass but not much. Recommended.
Rating: Summary: Comfortable, clear, and really cool Review: I've been listening to a wide variety of music with my Sennheiser HD 202s for a few hours now, and I definitely have no complaints with the quality of these headphones. For the price range, I would put it at the top of the list. First of all, they're from a company I can trust. The headphones were designed specifically for DJs, so I knew they wouldn't be (poor quality). And even when you compare the HD 202s with name brand headphones like the inexpensive Sony closed studio monitor headphones, you'll notice that the HD 202 is much more worth the 10 more bucks or so. The ear cups are bigger, so that means your ears won't get sore. These Sennheisers are also really light-weight, by the way, and there's a good combination of trebble and bass. Get them, they're good
Rating: Summary: Best headphones money can buy Review: If you're looking for an awesome pair of clear, accurate, and precise sounding headphones, and you're looking for them under the price of , pick up Senn's HD-202's. They're amazing, fitting perfectly over your ears, thus sealing off ambient noise, and keeping your music to yourself. This also helps create great bass response! Don't wait, if you want great headphones, pick these up!!
