Summary: Best Headphones for the Price
Review: A coworker of mine had a pair, and raved up and down about how good they were. After breaking my third pair of cheaper headphones, I decided to give these a whirl. The clarity is wonderful, and when you put them on (especially at the office) you can't hear much else going on around you. They kill all ambient noise which is perfect when you need to concentrate. I would highly recommend them.

Summary: vivid mid-frequecy performance, weak on bass
Review: And I agree on other customers' reviews, this phone really
flattens my ears. It feels too tight. Buy a circumaural one,
like HD 280, or Koss R80, if you like to enjoy music long time.
This phone actually is a semi-circumaural one, by specs on
sennheiserusa.com

I give it 4 stars because of its low price and fair sound
quality.

Summary: Excellent Sound. Would be a 5 if not for comfort.
Review: Deep rich bass, great sound and good blockage of outside noise with these phones. Nice looks, comes with a wind up cable belt clip and adapter for hi end audio. Long 3 meter cord also. Thick plastic headband material means you can put it in your bag and take it around.

The only complaint is that they are small on the head and very uncomfortable! My ears got sore after a few minutes of use.

Summary: A Weird Review...
Review: Do you know how the way that many of life's experiences work--event's that you expect to be awesome memories, end up filled with nonsense, and the ones that you anticipate displeasure, become fond moments to reminisce about?

I had a similar experience with the Sennheiser HD-202s...I expected awesome balance for use while recording my music, but instead got imbalance in the midbass to upper frequencies seeming unnecessarily dampened...

Sensitivity of which I expected to be grand...ended up needing serious attention by my audio receiver...oh yeah, and by the time that it was up to a good volume...the diaphragms felt it necessary to become unstable.

Come to think about it...

I've given it fourstars simply because of the name...'though it was my first mistake in the first place...

Look around...and save more money...

Summary: great headphones for the price
Review: Firstly, my expectations: I am a casual music listener. I listen to lots of MP3s and I buy the CDs of albums I really like. I wanted a pair of headphones for my apartment because I don't want to bother my roommates with my sometimes strange music tastes.

Secondly, the results: All around, I love these headphones and would buy them again in a second. They fit my expectations -exactly-. I was a little worried about how certain individuals complained about the small size of these headphones. I adjusted these 202s to fit me perfectly (I can set them to be much looser). I'm using them right now, with glasses, even, with no issues. I can wear them for hours very comfortable.

As for the actual sound quality, these are great as well. Although there might not be as much bass as a speaker set (I had a 3-piece set with a subwoofer), the sound is actually much cleaner and crisp than my (and my roomate's) 3-piece speaker set.

So, in all, I am a very satisfied customer. The cord is pretty long (which was important to me), and I can't really find anything wrong with them.

Summary: Good Value. Good Sounds.
Review: For the price these headphones are the best you can buy for under $30. The sound that comes out of these is very crisp & they are also padded well which is good for both comfort and screening out other sounds that may distract you while playing games. There are only two things that I have problems with. The HD-202's are not for people with big heads (the fit is a little tight for me) and the band across the top does not look like it will last very long. Other than that, however, I highly recommend these headphones to gamers, people who listen to music, DJ's, and anyone who loves themself.

Summary: Good for the money
Review: Got these to use with my iPod as the earbud phones that come with it fall out of my ears with any motion and they don't filter out ambient noise for not-so-quiet environs (gym, airplane, etc.). Enter the HD 202s: first, these are not truly circumaural; I have average-size ears and the pads partially rest on them--fortunately with no discomfort. The phones are fairly light but do feel a bit tight at first (4 3/8 hat size); they do loosen up with some stretching. Construction seems quite solid for this price with good padding around ears and underneath the top of the headband; overall a pretty good fit. As for the sound, they definitely have much better bass than any earbud phones I've used but then one would be very disappointed if they didn't. The midrange and highs seem a tad muffled, especially when compared with much more expensive headphones. But at less than thirty dollars, I can't legitimately complain about their lack of audiophile crispness. My iPod has no trouble driving them either (their impedance is just 32 ohms). Overall, I'm quite satisfied for the money I spent and doubt I could have purchased a superior pair of closed headphones (or otherwise) in the same price range. You won't be blown away by them but you probably won't be disappointed either.

Summary: good sound versus flattening ear lobe to head
Review: I am in an office where the desks are quite close to each other. Sound travels abundantly. I purchased these headphone in an effort to cut out ambient sound and keep in audio sound. These headphone definitely meet the task. The sound is quite good. I am hearing instrument I didn't even know were there. The thing is they really crush my ears. I am not aware of any over growth in this area. I imagine there are others with ears as big (and perhaps bigger!). This is truly subjective, but I will tell you that every day I have to weigh out the pain of the headphones versus filtering out the ambient office noise. This seams like an unreasonable daily dilemna. My advice would be to try on a headphone (closed one that is) before purchasing it.

Summary: Almost Perfect!
Review: I bought the Sony Studiomonitor headphones and was troubled with the pain they inflicted on my poor ears. So returned those and bought these. HD202's got amazing sound quality, good sound isolation and most important they are much more comfortable than many other closed headphones. Although after about 2-3 hrs of continuous use, you begin to feel the pressure of the hard inside on your ears. Comfort from these headphones largely depends on the size of your ears and on how much they protrude on the outside to be pressed by the hard inside of the ear cups.
I found them ok, but others may not feel so, so be sure to try them out before you buy, or atleast buy them from a place where you can return 'em. But definitely 10x better than the Sony Studiomonitor which press HARD all over your ear!

Summary: great deal
Review: I do not like small earphones that go into the ear. After a very short time I find them very uncomfortable. I also hate anything pressing on my head.

I was looking for a set of over the ear phones which were light weight, comfortable, had excellent sound fidelity, a longish cord so I can be comfortably away from my stereo, and effectively blocked outside sounds. My primary motivation for buying these phones was so that I could listen to opera and really hear the phrases. I wanted all this for under $30.00

These head phones delivered. As soon as they arrived, I tested them on a variety of music types at a variety of volumes. The phones are very comfortable and except for a bit of warming of my ears, which was rather pleasant, I barely noticed them. The cushion on the crosspiece is thick enough so that you don't really feel it.

Sound fidelity is excellent. I was actually able to hear parts of music and instruments that I had never noticed before. This was especially true with classical, opera and jazz. The balance between bass and treble was very good, although if you really like loud thumping base, you may be a bit dissappointed.

I was not able to get the volume up loud enough to notice any distortion before it was too much for me, so I can't really say that there will be no distortion if you like really loud music.

If you are looking for headphones that are a good bargain for the money and have a limited budget, these are it.
