Summary: Best Cheap Earphones
Review: Since I'm used to using studio quality headphones I'm constantly disappointed with that quality of today's portable headphones. I had a set of sony earphones from like 8 years ago that sounded amazing, unfortunately they broke and I haven't found anything comperable. These Koss headphones are the best I've used so far. I used a set of 31 decibel ear plugs with it and the quality is pretty good. It's definitely better than the backphone creative and sony make and is much better than the aiwa back-earphones. I'm still looking for a better set, but these will do for now. I personally like the mute button, too. It's a pain to have to take the buds to talk to someone and then have to put them back in and wait for them to take shape. That's all I have to say about that! -BT

Summary: The best sound in the portables' class!
Review: First of all, people tend to have different sized ear cavities, so they will-or won't fit accordingly. I had to go with the modified earplug approach. It is helpful for the person using these to be familiar with putting in noise blocking earplugs. They take a bit of skill and maybe adaptation to use,but in the end are worth it. They simply perform circles around any other ear-bud design in gain (loudness), isolation, comfort, and sound quality. What I really hate is the momentary cut-off switch in the middle of the cord! Every time I bend down for something, the stupid switch cuts off my program! I had to hot-glue the switch in it's open position. Also, if someone approaches me and I need to hear them, I found they would look at me strangely as I clutched at my chest... perhaps they thought I was having chest pains! It is much better to just remove the earpiece. These blow away any other portable-class headphones I have ever heard! The transducers are incredibly efficient, the frequency response is wide and clear, and, yeah, they do fall out on occasion and are a little work to get used to, there is simply no competition.

Review: These headphones are okay. The sound quality is excellent, but they are tricky to put in your ear. The foam used is pretty cool (I have never seen anything like it) but it is hard to put in your ear before the foam springs back. Bass is good, but is VERY powerful, and the upper notes are sort of tinny. For the price range though, I guess it is good.

Review: This is a great pair of phones. Although they do take a bit of work to get them in right, its worth it. the only problem ive had with them so far is not being able to hear anything else but the music while using them (if you want to call it a problem). the foam plug blocks out almost all of the extranious noise around you. also it keeps the sound in your ears, the people in the same room as you wont hear it (great if you have parents that grew up hearing that if the other people around you can hear the sound then its too loud, like i do). the sound tube shoots the music righ tinto your ear and it can't get out because of the foam. i guess all of the morons that say they are bad just dont have ANY common sense and didnt ever read the directions.

Review: You will read reviews of this product talking about how quickly the foam plugs bounce back, and that you can't get them in your ears fast enough... Koss obviously made great improvements to the foam. THE FOAM IS NOW SLOW RECOVERY, meaning you can get it into your ear. This alleviates the only real downside to the product.

Review: After trying several other ear-bud type headphones these truly have the best quality sound. I agree they are a little hard to insert, but once you get the hang of it, they're the best!! I definately reccomend them.

Review: I have no idea what all these other people are saying. I suppose they are either retards or have deformed ears. When searching to buy some miniphones i noticed all the negative reviews, customers saying they couldnt' get them to fit, and then said they had AWFUL sound. Common sense dictates that if they aren't used the way they are designed, performance will be poor... If you don't have them in your ear the right way of course they'll sound bad... I purchased a pair of these and i guess i know how to use them because the sound is truly amazing. I didnt' think that you could get ANYTHING that sounded this good for anything near 20.00$. I use them with my sharp 722 (MD player/recorder) and the volume being only at 14 is sufficient (it goes up to 30 - which i would never dare set that high for fear of popping my eardrums). I have pushed these to the point where other phones would probably blow and detected no distortion whatsoever. This is an EXCELLENT purchase. If you can get them in your ear - i didn't find it any challenge - then you'll LOVE 'em, otherwise go with portapros or sportapros or whatever the heck you call em (the other koss stereophones). Here are all the pros and cons i've found: Pros: small, light excellent sound quality (like a lil subwoofer in your ear- it can reach all the deep REALLY low bass) inexpensive for what you get efficient (the impedance is MUCH lower than most other phones, so it preserves batteries in portable equipment better) Cons: Some people can't fit them in... They can get a little uncomfortable (but the ones i got came with several different kinds of plugs/sealers of different shapes - so you can choose one that works best for you. When you're listening to somehting with a lot of bass they tickle your ears a bit (idk if that's necessarily a con though) The End.

Review: Well, i thought theres had an 8 foot cord... my cord is 4 feet, these are great, i love them, i use them when playing a game on the computer. i am 15 and the coushins fit ok, it could be better. They have great sound even when the bass is up all the way and the volume is up too, i hope this helps you.

Summary: Pretty Good For The Price
Review: The first thing to do after buying these is throw away the foam ear cushions from Koss, go to your local drug store and buy some Flents "Quite Please" foam ear plugs ... . Make a small hole in the Flents and insert the Koss Plug canal tube through the hole. The Flents don't expand nearly as quickly as the original cushions and provide much better sound isolation. The snug fit makes for great bass response and the little buggers won't keep falling out of your ears !

Summary: Best Pair of Head Phones
Review: I have read some of the reviews here, and a lot of them seem to say the same thing "i can't get them to stay in". I completely agree with this assessment. I couldn't get them to stay in .. until I realized I was using them wrong! You really have to 'rotate-jam' them into your ear canal, and when you do -- the sound is absolutely INCREDBILE! It blocks out outside noise unlike anything I've heard in a pair of headphones this size. Quite possible the cheapest, most high-quality head phones I've ever purchased.
